Hi everyone,
I know you all have been waiting for an update on the Mahoutokoro guide, and it is with heavy hearts that we need to announce we've decided to close the school indefinitely. This thread is open for feedback as we value open dialogue with our community, but please do read the announcement completely before you post.
The closing of the school will only mean that the school boards and plots will be put on hold if/until we decide to reopen the school. There are a few reasons for this decision, but the main reason is just one of inactivity. In the many months that Mahoutokoro has been open, we have not been able to garner enough interest to justify keeping it open.
If you have a Mahoutokoro student or were wanting to create one, your options are as follows:
1. Transfer your student to Durmstrang or Koldovstoretz real-time. The Japanese Ministry of Magic is organizing an exchange program with the Swedish and Russian Ministries, for Mahoutokoro's students to experience life in other cultures so they further develop their understanding of magic. While purebloods and halfbloods are being assigned to Durmstrang, muggleborns are given the opportunity to attend Koldovstoretz.
2. Retcon a transfer to a different school.
3. Continue to play your character in the Asia board until their graduation.
4. Age your character up or archive them.
5. If you had a work in progress, create them according to the above options when the guide is complete.
If you have a Mahoutokoro adult or were wanting to create one, your options are as follows:
1. Everyone has the option to create new adults when the guide has been updated.
2. You may continue to play your existing adults like normal and then can update them when the guide has been finished.
We hope the reason for our decision makes sense to everyone, and again, feel free to post here with any questions or feedback concerning it that you may have.
