[Announcement] Goodbye to Gringotts

As most of you will know we have been in the process of removing the Gringotts sickle system from the board.

One of the key issues with the system was that it was obsolete; some drivers had large amounts of sickles accrued over many years of being on the site (i.e. winnings from the Shimmering Pond, FPP, Anniversary Trivia, etc.), and opportunities to spend those earned sickles were limited, generally not desirable, or replaced altogether (i.e. graphics being made for free or traded for other things). Additionally, the "purchasing" of creatures and/or items often did not sync with the wealth or status of a character.

It has taken the administration team some time to decide the best way to shut Gringotts down as we were conscious of the "fairness" aspect. With that in mind, we have decided not to allow people to "spend" their sickles, but that all drivers who claim may choose from the below list of "gifts" as a goodbye to Gringotts. (For more information on what the prizes entail, please refer to the Prize Descriptions section of the FPP Rules.) You will also receive a special Gringotts badge for having had an account.

We understand that some people may feel short-changed (no pun intended) by the inability to utilise a larger balance in their accounts, but if you have not used it by now, we feel that the sickles were not truly working for you either. Additionally, the server downtime we suffered has wiped most account balances and the process of recovering these would prolong the closure of Gringotts.

So what now?

You may have noticed we have created a new Creatures and Items Guide. The new guide allows all drivers to use and/or apply for creatures and items with no need to spend sickles, only to use common sense or to apply for restricted items. We ask that you familiarise yourselves with the new system. Any questions, you are welcome to ask here.

Any existing approvals of restricted creatures and/or items will stand.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this closure and your claims.

Goodbye Gringotts Gifts

All drivers who had a Gringotts account may claim:

any 2 of the following:
- x2 FPP Power Up
- Timeturner a Badge
- Choose your own CT

OR

1 of the following:
- Increased PM Capacity
- Customized OOC Badge (must supply your own image)
- Timeturner Wildcard
- Flashforward Wildcard


Example claims:
1. x2 power up and choose your own ct - please apply "quote" to @ character
2. x2 power up (x 2)
3. increased pm capacity

Please comment below with your claim and the administration team will process these as soon as we can. If you are requesting Timeturner a Badge, Choose your own CT, or Customised OOC Badge, please include details of what you want and for which account.
