“There we go,†Freya said brightly, a grin appearing as Jeremy asked for a drink. She apologised as she bumped into a guy walking way too quickly in the opposite direction. Freya selectively ignored the part about nachos; he clearly didn’t care enough to actually argue… that, or he was too drunk to care. She shrugged to herself; the bar was just up the road.
Freya gave Jeremy a suspicious side-long glance, then gave the same look to Danny, but this time sharing instead of judging. “He’s ‘right, isn’t he?†she asked, not bothering to keep her voice down or anything. “Like, we’ll make it in, won’t we?†Perhaps the answer was apparent in the fact that she was addressing her question to Danny rather than Jeremy himself, but Freya remained hopeful.
The trio were approaching the entrance to Andromeda’s in no time. “Mouths shut and shoulders back, boys,†she ordered quietly, mostly aimed at her redheaded friend. She shot the security guard at the door a sunny smile as the three of them entered, and she resisted glancing to check if Jeremy made it in. Apparently he did, though, because in seconds they were all inside. “Perfect,†she said, a little relieved. “You guys sit down, I’ll grab drinks,†she said brightly, before bouncing to the bar.
