“Hmm,†Sylvain said, feeling somewhat disappointed that there wasn't a way between rejection and approval that meant that more skilled witches or wizards than the original inventor worked on perfecting an idea.
He finished his plate, grinning as he listened to Fabien speak about the sneakoscope. It was an amusing thought for sure. He swallowed and nodded. “Yeah, that sounds like a really useful invention for sure. Is it on sale yet? I might want to get one of those.â€
Again Sylvain nodded. This time it was his response to doing the muggle actor a favour. “Yes, if you put it like that it makes sense. I'd spare him the embarrassment. Might even be able to lead him towards another occupation that's better suited for him. Maybe he should sell tickets rather than get on stage.†He grinned slightly and put down his cutlery.
“Well, then I guess you could come and see me on stage of the muggle theatre playing the main part there.†He laughed and emptied his drink. “Lunch breaks pass way too quickly when you have a good company. Thank you, by the way, for the encouragement. It actually cheered me up quite a bit. I mean, I've been dying to play that role and I guess it's going to be a real thing now.†He smiled at his friend.
“Anyway, Félicienne will be mad if I extent my break. She has hers when I'm back and is probably already waiting for me so she can have a break. I'll see you around.†He got to his feet and hurried back to the office, feeling a lot more light hearted than he had before the meeting with his friend.
