Half Christmas? Ridiculous, she thought. Freya watched, amused, as the boys scrambled for the last piece of pizza. She folded her arms, shaking her head a little as if she wouldn’t have been triumphantly summoning it right to her, wand pointing, if she’d been drinking and part of the scrapping, too. They were honestly the most ridiculous people she’d ever met, but somehow she fit right in with them; it was comfy. She felt lucky to be included. The blonde moved to the couch, plopping down in the middle where they’d set up.
The time passed pretty quickly, though they lingered longer than she felt Jeremy wanted to. Freya had half a mind to go with them when they moved on, but she was having a happy, indulgent afternoon alone. “Don’t let him apparate,†she said to Jeremy, holding his cheeks in between her hands to make sure he looked right at her, but she was trying not to laugh. Danny had a tendency to do the stupidest things while drunk, and knowing that she’d protest, he’d been making jokes about trying it for the past twenty minutes.
“Merry Christmas!†she said, peeling Danny's beard off of her face and handing it to him. She let them out into the hall before closing the door.
