Malignity [Isaac]

Fiora found herself, not for the first time, in detention. She'd been doodling in the margins in her notebook and hadn't noticed the Professor over her shoulder. She'd get an earful at Christmas, she was sure, but her parents knew she was a good student normally. She couldn't say the same for her companion in detention, @Isaac Hackney whom was in the room with her. She didn't know what he was in here for, but she didn't have to be an Auror to figure out that it wasn't because he liked the emerald drapes that hung, drawn closed over the massive windows on the west side of the room.

It was a sparsely furnished room, a few desks, spaced out enough that you couldn't whisper to your fellow delinquents. There were also several bookcases, filled with outdated editions of their schoolbooks. Lastly, there was a large desk with a chair in front of a blackboard, currently scrawled with "Detention" and the Professor's name. The professor had gone to use the restroom, which was down the hall, and Fiora was bored out of her skull. The only person she really knew of there was, unfortunately, Isaac. The brown-haired, good-looking Slytherin had a bad attitude, yet, it seemed, he was a hit with the ladies.

She couldn't blame them, she supposed as she looked at him from the side. He didn't disappoint in the looks department, and despite his frequent visits to detention, he excelled at school. He would be the perfect package if it weren't for his poor attitude and demeanor. "Hey Hackney, fancy seeing ye here." she quipped, her fiery Gryffindor personality lilting with her Scottish accent. "I bet you got in trouble just to finish your Arithmancy homework, didn't ye?" she tilted her head a bit, glancing furtively over at the door. "You wouldn't guess why I'm here..." she said with a quirked smile towards the side of his head.
i see the color in your face, it makes me smile, it makes me shake

i see the shadow in my brain, and i like its look, and i like its shape

"Where else would I be, Fi?" Isaac asked dryly as he slid into the seat that pretty much had his name on it, the one that was right across from the one that had hers on it. The pair of them, their whole group really, spent more time in this room than was probably rational. Maybe they liked getting into trouble? Isaac believed it was more than individual professors just really wanted to throw their weight around. Either way, here he was, and he wasn't going to sulk about it. He dropped his book bag to the floor and rolled his eyes at her words.

"Already finished it," He told her, along with his charms essay, his potions project, and the extra defense against the dark arts reading he had assigned himself. Fiora probably knew he was a decent enough student if she was perceptive enough. She would have realized by now that Isaac hadn't turned in a late assignment a single time since he'd first started Hogwarts, but he didn't exactly advertise it either.

He was rude to her, but what else was new? At least this time, he had a reason. Just last week, they had been in these same seats when she had said some things Isaac found incredibly annoying. Something about the sorts of girls he liked, as if she knew, well okay, yeah she probably did, but Isaac didn't want anyone. And he didn't like her telling anyone what she knew. He sat back into his chair, one arm wrapped over the back powerfully, and stretched his legs out in front of him.

"What did you do?" He asked, and the disinterest weighed heavily in his words. He liked Fiora most of the time because she was chill and could be ruthless, but he was still aggravated with her about last week, and he wanted her to know it. And Isaac was absolutely the sort to hold a grudge.
