Isaac grimaced when Magnolia assumed that he would want more from her, rolling his eyes to show just how little he appreciated the idea and shook his head for good measure. It didn't matter that he was a Slytherin, and bargaining for more than what was fair was sewn into the fabric of their being, or that it was far from the first time that he thought she 'owed him' something. The dirty look he gave her did nothing but sour further when she picked up on his sarcasm, repeating the adjective and turning it around on him. "I happen to like mint chocolate," He didn't, but disagreeing with her was Isaac's default by now, and proving her wrong about everything seemed to be his new mission in the world. "Have you ever even tried it? I bet you are one of those people who hate things on principal," She had probably proved him wrong a hundred times on that account, but Isaac had noticed, or chose not to remember it, and rolled his eyes again. "How very Gryffindor of you," He teased.
In all honesty, a bit of Hot Chocolate (mint or no mint) sounded just about amazing right now. It sounded warm, and Isaac was anything but. He shivered again, thinking about how cold his fingers and the tip of his nose were, and the wizard was surprised when she moved to wrap her scarf around him. It was a nice gesture, prefaced by an insult, which was standard for the two of them, and Isaac smiled a little beneath the soft fabric. If he wasn't freezing, he might have told her to take it back, red and gold were certainly not his colors, but he doubted they would run into anyone he knew at the Community Center. The closest his group of friends got to charity was not picking on the same first year every day. "Uh, thanks," He mumbled, his words muffled under the scarf that smelt like flowers.
Magnolia picked up the pace, and Isaac didn't protest even a little. He caught up to her quickly, his sneakers making loud crunching sounds in the fresh snow, and he tried to will the feeling back to his fingertips. "So... you really just want to give this stuff away because it's... nice?" Isaac's tone shifted as his cheeks warmed up again. He returned to the topic, but this time, he was less judgemental and more confused. Isaac didn't understand the idea of having so much stuff that you needed to shed some of it.
