I HAVE SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!! Our usual spot. You bring the blanket, I'll bring the pillows!

The note to Jet had said in her loopy, messy handwriting, and she had owled it the moment she had gotten back to Hogwarts after winter break. Memories of New Year's Eve still danced around her head, giddiness and happiness swirling around her adding a brightness to her eyes as she woke up a little earlier than usual. She dressed and stuffed her school books and supplies into her bag until it was bursting.

Wini and Jet had claimed one corner of the library as "theirs" over the past few years. It started as study sessions when Wini had desperately needed help in Potions (as usual) and Jet had thankfully offered to help. The Hufflepuff was grateful for the assistance because honestly, she was so rubbish at Potions, she was surprised her cauldron hadn't run away from him in protest. But a fast and easy friendship had developed between them Wini was happy to have someone who she could gush to about the latest gossip, who wouldn't mind all of her excited hugs and physical affection. Not that Marin or even Phillip were off the hook really in that regard. Jet was just a nice change of pace. And he was really good at Potions... when she remembered she was supposed to be studying instead of just hanging out.

She had grabbed her Potions textbook with half a thought that she might finish the essay that was due at the end of the week, but she was much more wrapped up in what had happened a few night's ago on New Year's Eve. !! She couldn't wait to tell Jet all about it. With her book bag bouncing along behind her and charming two fluffy yellow pillows from the common room to float behind her, she zipped to the library and into their usual spot, dumping her bag on the table for when they started studying. But schoolwork was already long forgotten the moment Jet showed up. "You'll never guess what happened!" she whispered excitedly, her smile wide as she brushed her wavy blonde hair over her shoulder and patted one of the pillows for him to join her.

Sure, they were in the library and supposed to be studying instead of lounging on the floor, but they were far enough back in a corner where even the librarian didn't bother them much and besides, they were upperclassmen, who was going to say anything. She had gushed to Jet before about her crush on Ezra, but today's news was even bigger.
