[Announcement] 2003-2004 School Age-Up Requirements

Hello all!

It's come to the end of the playtime school year again, and you know what that means! But don't worry - you still have plenty of time to work on any sheet updates and required posts for age-ups. Please review this topic for specific guidelines on aging up your characters. Now that we're in June 2004 playtime, the Character Changes and Retcons topic is now open for age-up updates. In the coming weeks, we will post a hard deadline for updates and post requirements.

Age-up post requirements may vary depending on what school your student(s) attend, so be sure to check the specific requirements for your characters' schools. These will be listed in this topic. For the most part, each school will require at least two posts since 27 July 2020 (as long as the post was made starting at the beginning of September 2003 playtime) in certain threads or with specific school-related subject matter.

Characters that are Sorted at the end of the current school term or drivers with extenuating circumstances may or may not have the age-up requirements waived, again at the discretion of the respective School Admin.

Two [2] posts + sheet update

For the post requirement, drivers may mix-and-match between several different IC and OOC options. They may also have both posts in one category, or even in the same thread. Choices include:

• Beginning of Term – post in main/starter thread or in spin-off thread
• Class posts – participate in any class from the current term
• Study Hall – threading out doing homework, practicing spells, meeting with a professor, etc.
• Quidditch threads – played-out match, practice, pick-up game, and/or spectating
• Student Position threads – students carry out Head Boy/Girl, Prefect, Quidditch Captain duties
• Mini-plot participation – post in main/starter thread (if applicable) or in spin-off thread
• Anniversary participation – Thunder(bird)dome, Occamy One-shot, etc.
• OOC holiday event participation – themed one-shots (Halloween 2019, etc.)
• End of Term – post in main/starter thread or in spin-off thread

Note: While BoT and EoT posts count as mini-plots for FPP bonus purposes, they do not double-count for age-up purposes - in other words, you still need two separate posts.
