I'll go with it depends on what you like? I don't like all of the popular stuff, but this one was really good. It can be really touching, and has moments where it's super sad. I loved the actress in it, and it's honestly one of the only ones I like the lead. I've seen a few of his, and while I've never hated him, I've never loved him, either. However, he plays his character very well. I'm a little biased, as I prefer Jang Hyuk and Yoon Si-Yoon for male leads. The actess is good, but she still appears new? As in her acting is super duper outworldly amazing, but it's really not bad, either. Her acting is good, I just wouldn't call it great, yet? If that makes sense? The story is good. Really, I would say try it out. It's really good, the story is great. It's probably one of the rare few that's good this past year/whatever. The only few I liked for 2016/2017 has been Goblin, the Voice, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.
I don't like the too teenagery ones? Goblin has a little tendancy to follow the teenager trend, but not enough to take away from the story.
I sincerly wished American actors were as good as these people. haha. Some may disagree, but now whenever I watch an American show or film, I always feel like the actors are reading from a script, and that's not something I see so often in the K drama verse. Sure, there are some, but lots of those actors improve over time too. Not always.

I definitely want to take a look at that one, but I tend to wait for episodes to be released and binge it. I don't like waiting for episodes! haha. The last one I watched all of was Rebel: Thief of the People. That one was really good.
Yeah, I knew him from Coffee Prince and the zombie movie too. Zombie movie, I didn't like as much. Granted, I don't think any of the actors are typically as good in movies. I suspect it has more to do with shorter plots, and directors.
Next on my list is Tree With Deep Roots. Otherwise, with all the binge watching I've been doing, I don't know where to head next, haha. One of my favorite non historical dramas was Fated to Love You.

There's so much detail in the books and the producers and actors/actresses have really done it justice. My only qualm is that they made Laoghaire out to be a conniving truly evil butt when she was really just a clueless/jealous teenage girl. >>

i recently went and saw Blade Runner 2049. it's a long, slow movie, but it's visually quite stunning. first leaving the theatre i didn't know if i liked it, but on thinking about it more i would def watch it again. it's similar to 'Drive' if you've seen that.

I think I enjoyed BR2049 too, but I'm not sure . . . I had the same feeling upon leaving the cinema?á ;D
I watched the first one the night before, and it's the same; slow, moody, but it has a nice vagueness that leaves alot of it open to interpretation. Unlike 2049, which has a lot of unnecessary exposition, and I found that really annoying. It has incredible special effects though, almost unnoticeable; I would even say better than any movie I've ever seen.
But it's soooo long.
The first Blade runner has one of the strangest endings - good guy gets the crap beaten out of him by the bad guy, who then proceeds to mercifully spare the good guys life, before going off on a weird poetic monologue in the rain, and then dying of natural causes. You don't get that often in a hollywood movie.
Also one day I'm going to sue Hans Zimmer for ruining my hearing with all his buzzing.

As a actual skater, who has to deal with commentary on my own skating... I canÔÇÖt stand their commentary. They focus on all the wrong things and give a terrible and unrealistic impression of the sport to non-skaters/casual fans and they focus so much on the negative when a skater actually has lots of potential and it makes me so frustrated. I get angry when commentators talk over the skating so much that I canÔÇÖt hear the nuances in the music properly.
Also, shout out to my coach who killed it on the pairs tech panel! <333

Annnnyway... I absolutely LOVED The Greatest Showman - holy cow! The music is amazing! I cry every time I hear "This is Me" (this video, in particular, has me sobbing every.single.time!) and I always have the urge to sing/dance along to pretty much all of the other songs. haha
I liked La La Land quite a bit (I have a serious girl crush on Emma Stone, not going to lie ::)), but the ending made me kinda sad. :/

I'm currently doing a much-needed and very long overdue rewatch of Once Upon a Time. (*pokes @Kita* ::)) I forgot how much I love the show and characters. Also: I'm a big fan of many of Netflix's animated shows (She-Ra, Trollhunters/Tales of Arcadia, Hilda, Voltron, etc.) and one of their newest ones, Glitch Techs, is definitely a new favourite. It's super nerdy and centred around video games, and I'm surprised how attached I got to the characters over only nine 20 min episodes. ^__^

for those who like Star Wars even a little bit... it's a must-watch. rewatched the whole series (7 total seasons) over the past couple of weeks - forgot how amazing the universe expansion was ugh ? really helped fill out the prequels (it's set between Episodes II and III) and it brings so much depth to everything, especially the relationships between Anakin and Obi-wan, Anakin and Padme, the Jedi Order as a whole... and my girl Ahsoka ?
they're also short 20-25min episodes so very easy to binge-watch ?

Yesterday was Eighth Grade.
Gage rating: 7/10.
Why: It made me a little sad because I have a little sister, but it felt really pertinent to the internet, and how people use it, especially now. A really beautiful insight into all those implications. I also really enjoyed how real it felt. Not my usual film, but stuck it out.

Night #2: Midsommer
Gage Rating: 0/10
Why: What the f*ck. No really what the FUUUCK. Okay, 0 was aggressive, it was actually kind of a dope movie. I just don't like anything horror related... but! with that said, I'll be thinking about this movie for weeks (or, until tomorrows movie). Visually stunning. Honestly have seen nothing like it before, but that may be because I usually avoid this kind of thing.
Night (well evening) #3: The Lighthouse
Gage Rating: 7/10
Why: Another horror movie (clearly I make 0% of important relationship decisions though we did compromise and watch while it was still bright out). Anyway.... wow. I know I said I will be thinking about Midsommer forever, but this one might take the cake. Super impressed with the look and feel of the movie, William Dafoe is a treasure. Really felt on edge the whole time. I was left a little confused, that may have been the point or I might just not be artsy enough.

"Ambulance" on BBC1
It's...heavy but also amazing. I love that it follows the paramedics and the NHS staff in my city and I'm so completely proud of everyone involved. It makes you cry but it also makes you laugh. It's such a rollercoaster. It's a wonderful documentary and I suggest you watch it if you're able to. The Scouse humour is A++ haha
And my dad is in episode 6!

currently am almost done with season 3 of Reign (yes I am like 8 years behind hahah)
first few episodes felt like a bad soap opera and I did NOT like it, but it's def growing on me. still some not-great acting here and there but all the leads are solid
