Professor Twylan chuckled at the chaos but clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Our hour is drawing to a close, students, so please drink your antidotes now." She waited politely while her students followed her directions, stepping down the rows of tables to assist those who were too under the influence of their potions to take the antidote themselves, and then collecting all of the antidote vials to return to her own inventory."Now then, let me see here." She stood in front of several of her older students, who had of course performed the best in this class period. "Miss Reinhardt, your Calming Potion was perfectly brewed, so that is worth 50 points to Ravenclaw." She turned and said, "Mister Zhen, Miss Reed, Miss Trickett-Cassoway, your potions were very well-prepared, so 10 points a piece to your Houses." Lastly, with a sort of sorrowful gaze, "Rachel" turned from her older students to one of her youngest students. "Mister Rivera, I must take 10 points away from Gryffindor for your carelessness. Were I a lesser witch, I would have had trouble counteracting the blood that was added to your love potion because you did added the contaminated rose thorns rather than disposing of them and getting new ones. However," she added loudly, "this was an honest mistake from a new student, and therefore a learning opportunity. I expect my students to help each other learn and become better, and not to make fun of accidents. So if I hear that anyone present today mistreats Mister Rivera, or any burgeoning potioneer, I will deduct House points from you without hesitation." Having made that point clear, she added to Benny, "You may regain your lost House points if you can give me one sheet of parchment at next lesson on why you never add blood to love potions."She returned to the front of the room as she announced to the entire class, "Please clean up your stations before leaving, and thank you again for your participation in today's lesson. Don't forget your reading homework on antidotes." She began packing up her own antidote brewing materials while she kept an eye on the students, making sure they actually did what they were told and didn't leave messes for her next group of students to deal with.
