Magical Hogwarts

It had been a month or two, but Ezra was still remembering that night with Jet.?á He didn?óÔé¼Ôäót have hard feelings or anything about the way things go, and he really wanted the other to know that. He wanted to stay friends at least, not let things get weird. He had set up a day for him to see all of his ?óÔé¼?ôjunior?óÔé¼?Ø friends, and had even taken the very long drive all the way to Hogsmeade to stop a very pregnant Janae from having to take a portkey just to see her baby daddy. She was doing well, but Ezra was a mother type, very careful with her and smothering her a bit like his own mother would have.?á Once Janae was off on her own, and his Mustang, Honey, was parked far away, he went looking for a few of his own friends. He especially wanted to see Jet. He wanted to see how the other guy was doing, and he wanted to make sure that he knew that Ezra still liked him.

He caught sight of the younger man inside the Three Broomsticks, and he carefully slid into the barstool next to him. ?óÔé¼?ôBuy you a drink??óÔé¼?Ø He teased a bit, playful, with a grin on his face. Jet looked good. Ezra had never really thought about him as a potential anything until practically to the point where they were kissing, but looking back on it he really should have seen that the other was super cute and adorable. He should have noticed that he would have liked him. Maybe things would have come across differently?

He couldn?óÔé¼Ôäót deny that he was a bit emotional about the whole thing. Ezra was a fool, looking for love in all the wrong places?óÔé¼?ª but looking for love, he certainly was. He didn?óÔé¼Ôäót like one-night-stands and hookups, or even friends-with-benefits. He was a lover, his heart always jumping out to grab on any time he let someone get close. He had been with a few different people since Circe, and none of them had wanted more and he was a little self-conscious about it. Was there something wrong with him? He tried not to go down that road. He wasn?óÔé¼Ôäót mad or anything, more a little sad, but this was a time to be happy with his friends.

?óÔé¼?ôSeriously, I?óÔé¼Ôäóll buy whatever you want.?óÔé¼?Ø He offered, after a moment of hellos. ?óÔé¼?ôOr if you?óÔé¼Ôäóre not thirsty we can just hang out across the street. I?óÔé¼Ôäóm here to see you, so it?óÔé¼Ôäós whatever you want, sunshine.?óÔé¼?Ø

Jet didn't come to Hogsmeade every time and usually only came by when he needed to buy something. He had recently run out of his Jelly Slugs and Sugar Quills stocks. He also needed to buy some stationary equipment, mostly a new quill and some ink which he desperately needed for his homework and letters to Kalevi. He took the train to the village alone, not much in the mood to chat with other people. Instead, he busied himself with a book he had brought along and been reading on the way to Honeydukes and Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop as well. He got a few shoulder bumps from other people with his nose buried between the pages but no actual accident which would send him sprawling onto the ground. He was lucky this time.

He found himself at Three Broomsticks later on, after he had bought everything he needed and walked around the village a little. He was sucking on a Sugar Quill, cheeks a bit puffed out with the candy between his lips, and, again, was reading a book. He hadn't expected anyone to approach him and jumped a little when someone slid into the stool next to him and spoke to him. Wide-eyed he blinked at a familiar face of his friend (lover?), looking very much like a chipmunk caught doing something he shouldn't.

When his brain caught up with what he was seeing, he slid the candy out of his mouth so he could speak. "All?â??, Ez." He offered a shy smile, ears turning red a little. He had sent a few letters to the other, but he hadn't seen the boy since December. Since the time they .... flushing a bit, Jet bit down at the tip of the Sugar Quill and chomped at it. He shifted in his seat, jittery out of nowhere, "um, I already had a butterbeer," he admitted, "but we can go walk around...or something." He replied, internally freaking out over sounding awkward and trying to stop his brain from imagining them kissing. He was feeling a little hot and unsure how to act around the other, although he liked Ezra and wanted to be friends with him, he also immediately remembered what had happened between them.

The other's playful tone was not helping in making him less flustered either.

He chomped down on the candy again, nose wrinkling. Why couldn't he just function normally when he needed to?!

Jet was being adorably awkward, and Ezra was kind of loving it. He, himself, couldn?óÔé¼Ôäót help remembering everything that happened between them too. He jut wasn?óÔé¼Ôäót quite as flustered by it, though admittedly he wouldn?óÔé¼Ôäót have minded if it happened again. He stood up when Jet mentioned he?óÔé¼Ôäód already had a drink, and stretched his back a little as he waited for the other. ?óÔé¼?ôThat?óÔé¼Ôäós fine! We can go to Honeydukes or the Joke shop, maybe. Or, well, It looks like you hit Honeydukes already, huh??óÔé¼?Ø He motioned to the candy. ?óÔé¼?ôNo worries, I?óÔé¼Ôäóll top you off when we?óÔé¼Ôäóre on the way back.?óÔé¼?Ø He grinned.

He led the way out of the shop and into the street, offering his elbow to the younger boy to hold onto. It was a little less overt than holding hands, but he didn?óÔé¼Ôäót quite mind who saw them. Besides, he reminded himself that Jet wasn?óÔé¼Ôäót his boyfriend, either way.

?óÔé¼?ôSo what have you been up to, buddy??óÔé¼?Ø He asked. ?óÔé¼?ôI know we?óÔé¼Ôäóve been writing, but some things are best said in person, I think. Having a good month or so??óÔé¼?Ø He wondered. ?óÔé¼?ôYou?óÔé¼Ôäóre not in N.E.W.T. year yet, right? So no applications to that Magizoology school just yet, right??óÔé¼?Ø He asked. ?óÔé¼?ôThat was what you wanted to do, right? Magizoology??óÔé¼?Ø

He laughed lightly. ?óÔé¼?ôI?óÔé¼Ôäóve been trying to help my friend get into law school, but I don?óÔé¼Ôäót even know how I got into law school.?óÔé¼?Ø He admitted.

Jet followed Ezra as he stood and left the establishment. He was still flushed and feeling a little disoriented because of it. The offered elbow made Jet?óÔé¼Ôäós ears burn, but it was also something stable to catch onto. He linked with him, hand resting on his forearm and willed his embarrassment down a little. He hoped the blush wasn?óÔé¼Ôäót that visible either anymore.

"Um, what about," glancing at Ezra, his blue eyes twinkled. "Shrieking shack?" He asked. Not many students came there, and he liked the scenery. He didn?óÔé¼Ôäót find it scary, and it was better than having to walk around the streets just like that with no direction. At least in the Ravenclaw?óÔé¼Ôäós opinion.

"I?óÔé¼Ôäóm doing good. Doing the same stuff mostly. Animals, plants, friends and books?" He listed off. "I needed some ink, been writing a lot to my penpal at Durmstrang." He rambled a little. "And some candies." He added, putting the Sugar Quill back between his lips with a soft hum.?á

"Magizoology and veterinary healing, yeah," he gave the candy another lick, sucking at the top. "I still have some time to decide since I?óÔé¼Ôäóm in my sixth year. I?óÔé¼Ôäóm taking all the classes I need, though." He explained, pressing a bit closer into Ezra?óÔé¼Ôäós side as a small group of giggling girls passed them. He flushed a bit but didn?óÔé¼Ôäót pull away. He could always blame it on the weather or something. "I?óÔé¼Ôäód take them all if I had enough time for it," he added, catching Ezra?óÔé¼Ôäós gaze and giving him a cute smile, candy still stuck in his mouth.

"I?óÔé¼Ôäóm sure you?óÔé¼Ôäóll manage to help them somehow." He hummed, then gave a small giggle. "Just because you don?óÔé¼Ôäót know how you got in doesn?óÔé¼Ôäót mean you don?óÔé¼Ôäót have the brains." He assured him, looking at the path in front of them. Now that they were walking, it was easier to act cool. Moreover, it was January. The weather, the cold, could excuse his flush.

He slipped two of his fingers into Ezra?óÔé¼Ôäós sleeve, running them over his wrist. Running his tongue over the candy, he slipped it out of his mouth.

Ezra felt warm being there with Jet. All things aside,?á the slightly younger boy made him feel comfortable. He was a little happy around him,?á but a little sad too. Jer was cute and sweet,?á and Ezra kinda wanted it for his own.?á Jet hadn't wanted him back,?á though,?á and it felt a little surreal to be with him,?á holding onto the other's arm as his fingers played with Ezra's wrist knowing that Jet had turned him away. It felt like there was something there. More than friendship.?á Ezra's heart thudded in his chest over it, the closeness making it worse but also making him feel better.

"Shrieking shack??á Sure,?á let's go that way. " he grinned. He started walking towards the woods.?á The area near the shack was usually quiet,?á and would leave them time alone,?á which Ezra was subconsciously aware of. He wasn't planning on hooking up today... but at the same time his body seemed to react to their closeness.?á He twitched a bit in his trousers.

"Veterinarian medicine??á Wow,?á super cool.?á I bet you'll be great. I remember how mucg you enjoy care of magical creatures. " he grinned.?á "You'll be really good at it. And heh, i guess you're a proper Ravenclaw, huh? Wanting all the classes." His own favorite class had been muggle studies.

He let things go quiet for a moment,?á sneaking glances at him.?á "So,?á how have things been??á Missed me much? " he teased.

They changed the direction towards the shack, and Jet basked in the warmth another living body gave out. Warming charms were great, but nothing beat, feeling Ezra brushing against his side and the press of his warm hand against his fingers. It made his thoughts stray back to Christmas, keeping the blush present on his cheeks. They were going to an area that wasn't as populated by visitors. If they wanted, they could...





Biting on his lower lip, he willed his thoughts away, as tempting as they were. He wouldn't assume anything about the other boy. They'd done stuff once. Jet had made it clear he wasn't thinking about dating. Perhaps he shouldn't entertain these thoughts anymore. He tried at least, but the images were still there.





"Yeah, though it's not easy to get there. That's why I first want to take time to get some more healing experience and become a Magizoologist." He offered. "I'd like to make a clinic in the future perhaps, but that's a project a while away." He gave him a sheepish smile and then scrunched his face adorably, looking a little offended. "I've always been a proper Ravenclaw," he pouted. "How can you doubt me?"





He noted the glances Ezra was giving him, and somehow, that made his belly warm. His mind went back to the gutter, but he didn't try to fight it as much this time around. He let the memory of them kissing come up, then thought of their shared shower. His face started growing more noticeably red. "Perhaps, I did, a little." He grinned. "There is certainly something to remember, so...um, it's hard not to think about it sometimes." He admitted. "What about you?" His voice sounded a little breathy now.

 Ezra really did think jet was super smart and interesting. He loved that the other had such a clear idea of what he wanted, and found it absolutely adorable when the other puffed up about being called a ‘proper’ Ravenclaw. He kept close to him, partially for external warmth and partially for the internal kind. He couldn’t stop thinking about their night together. He wanted a repeat and knew it. He wasn’t planning anything, but he certainly wouldn’t stop it from happening. The thought of kissing Wini on New Years was about as far from his head as it possibly could be. He was thinking about kissing Jet, his mind filled with images of pressing him back against the cold tree bark, feeling him up, and getting really warm in the cold air around them.

“I never doubted you.” Ezra assured, lacing their fingers a little. It was bold, but he didn’t mind it. This was only further encouraged by the other’s words about remembering what had happened between them. Something to remember, hm? His blush was very cute. Ezra wanted to kiss those cheeks crimson.

“You can think about it.” Ezra assured, giving his hand a squeeze. “I mean, I do. I’ve been reliving it for weeks.” That was not even an exaggeration. “It was surprising, you know, but really good. I don’t regret it.” He promised. He turned to face him a little more directly, his mouth getting dry for a second as he prepared himself to be more forward. “We don’t necessarily have to just remember it, though…” He began, locking eyes. “I wouldn’t mind doing that more with you.” He promised, feeling very bold indeed. “But,” He let himself backtrack a bit, mostly from nerves. “It’s really up to you. I’m down, but there’s no pressure or anything. I didn’t come to visit just to… do that.”
