As tradition would have it, Valentine's Day cards were a
must for the holiday. Every year, Patty had crafted them without fail; each one personalized for whomever she was gifting them to. The tradition had started as a way to keep younger Patience occupied while her mother sewed and her father was in the studio. It was a quiet activity she could do in her mothers view without getting into trouble. That was until she had discovered glitter and felt the pretty sparkle was a must. Her mother hadn't been thrilled when she looked up and found Patty with globs of glue and glitter in her hair and the colorful remnants on some of her mannequins.
Since then, she fell in love with glitter but had also learned how to open it without shrouding herself in a cloud of the stuff. For all of her girl friends, she had done little hearts and flowers on their cards with the glitter. For the guys, she spared them the frivolous touches. Though, as luck would have it, there was some that felt the need to cling to a couple of the cards no matter how hard she tried to get it off.
She'd passed out most of her cards by this point. There were only a couple left and Patty had been running all through the castle trying to find her friends to give them their gift. Finally she spotted Brendan and went bounding after him. "Brendan!" She called out as she got closer. "I've been looking for you. Whatcha up to?"
