Gryffindor Tower
The entrance to the common room is located behind a portrait of a Fat Lady on the seventh floor. A password is required to enter it, which students may learn from each other or from a Gryffindor Prefect. A circular hole behind the painting leads to the common room, which contains a lot of squashy armchairs, crowded furniture, and a roaring fireplace. Each student shares a circular dormitory with their housemates of the same gender, with the needed number of comfortable four-poster beds arranged around the walls. Hufflepuff Basement
Not far from the kitchens is the entrance to the Hufflepuff basement, which can be accessed by tapping the rhythm of the House founder's name (Hel-ga Huff-le-puff) into a certain spot on a certain barrel. The common room is homey and cellar-like in appearance, with comfortable furniture and a roaring fire. Each student shares a circular dormitory with their housemates of the same gender, with the needed number of comfortable four-poster beds arranged around the walls. Ravenclaw Tower
Ravenclaw Tower, on the west side of the castle, is guarded byis a door without a doorknob or keyhole, but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle, which requires students to answer a riddle before they can enter. The common room is airy, with a domed ceiling, arched windows, and a marble statue of Rowena Ravenclaw. Each student shares a circular dormitory with their housemates of the same gender, with the needed number of comfortable four-poster beds arranged around the walls. Slytherin Basement
The entrance to Slytherin House is located behind a stone wall in the dungeons of Hogwarts Castle. A password is required to enter the common room, a low-ceilinged, dungeon-like room with regal furniture and greenish lamps. It is partly located under the lake, and sometimes the Hogwarts merfolk pass by the tall narrow windows.
