Hi there Kevin, and welcome to the site! I'm Taed, one of the admins. We're all more than happy to help you out if you have questions and point you in the right direction. I don't know if you already have a character idea or not, but you can always make your own thread in the Sandbox and start drafting your character out. We also have character guides to help you figure out the details of where your character will fit. Student, adult, doesn't really matter - just let your imagination stretch, and have fun with it! Look forward to writing with you!

Have you read our awesome guides yet? If you're brand-new to the site, reading through some of the material we have can help you get your bearings: specifically the New Player Guide, the FAQ, and the Sorting application. While not mandatory, lots of members like to make a topic in the Sandbox, which is a space where you can work on your character sheet and network with other members at the same time. ^^ If you'd like more information about each of the schools, definitely check out the Destinations board as well!

If you have any questions after reading through all of that, feel free to give any of us a shout! Happy to help! Looking forward to seeing you around the forum!

The Sandbox is a board where you can "play" with your character until you feel comfortable with how you've built him or her. That's actually a link but the change in font color might be hard to see. Just click on that and then you can click on the "New Thread" button when you arrive in the Sandbox.

Your character sheet is on your profile (if you click the Profile button in the top menu of the website). That is where, ultimately, you will put everything about your Harry Potter character so that the people who are writing with you know what your character is like. Any member of the Mentor Team (or really any member on the site!) can help you out with the particulars.

Hi @Volya Nikolov I do have one quesion. Is there anything specifically I have ro write in the history part? And what kind of Role play Sample do I do??

I believe its a paragraph or two of how the parents met, the birth of your character, then significant life events such as first sign of magic, and other things that happened to shape who your character is/was/is going to be. Then  after that it is really just each year of school. You can add more than that if you want to. As well, depending on how old your character is, you might want to add a paragraph or two about how your character felt/what they did during the events of the HP series.

Your RP sample should be at least two paragraphs, be written in third person.. Use @Elias Deyer's as an example or @Volya Nikolov's. I really dunno how to explain it, but it shouldn't have dialogue between two characters in it, and be written from the view of your character? If that makes sense?

If you need more examples of either, just click on peoples profiles. Use them as a guideline, but don't feel like you need to have absolutely everything in there. Also writing more is alwaysss encouraged! <33
