Hi there! My name is Tallya and I am new here. I have been a fan of Harry Potter since it first came out in 2000. Currently I am working on my charries family background or EFB as you call it and my character sheet. Though I wonder where to post it or can it go in the Sandbox? Also can Sophia's background have roots in America with the Native American Witches and Wizards?

Yeah, the sandbox is a great place to work on your character and meet other members, as well as figuring out connections for your character, I definitely recommend it
Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I really want to say yes? Just as long as Sofia was born in/lives in the area of whatever school you want her to attend, it should be fine?

Hi! Um, I'm real new to the whole concept of a roleplaying site but I've had a fair amount of practice RPing with friends. I love HP though and I'm really excited to hopefully get involved here! It seems really active and welcoming, I'm just still a bit lost trying to figure everything out! All in all I'm just super excited to get started, ?? Wish me luck??

Tallya -- With regard to Sophia's history, I know for Hogwarts students we generally prefer that their families are rooted in the UK, but if you can write it plausibly into her history then it should be fine. ^^ The admins will give you feedback on your sheet as well!

Tea -- Yes we most certainly are! It can definitely be a little overwhelming at first but don't worry - we're here to help, and I'm sure you'll settle in quickly. ^^

We are very friendly and helpful, Georgia is right! So don't hesitate to ask questions if you find yourself unsure or stuck. Don't be afraid to just explore the site for a few weeks (or a few years in my case) before you get your first character ready for sorting!

We do, actually! There are the options of three different schools that you can play your character at here on MH: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Of course, you can also play an adult character if you want. There are extensive guides on all three schools to help members with the creation of their characters, Durmstrang is here, and Hogwarts is here.

@Pennyworth ~ We have a bunch of both! It IS recommended (but not required) that you start with a Hogwarts character, because generally there is more known about Hogwarts, and therefore is easier to write about. But again I'll stress it is a suggested path, and you are free to make whatever character your heart desires.
