Are there any big events that have happened at Beauxbatons that I should include in Auguste's sheet? I know I probably don't have to, but I remember seeing mention of the elementals coming out at one point and there were the muggleborns there in 97-98 and I figured stuff like that would make sense to include. Just curious, thanks for any help  :)

The only big events/plots we've had that have been played are the Triwizard Tournament, the Elemental Attack (which I'll post below), and the muggleborns from Hogwarts.

Terror at Beauxbatons – Hostage Situation Confirmed!
by Herbert Grympmick

Though we are unable to name the source of this troubling bit of news, the Daily Prophet has received confirmation that the students and staff of Beauxbatons are currently being held against their will by a group of unknown persons. Does this have anything to do with the recent rumors of a resurgence of activity by the Elemental Council? The last confrontation between the secretive governing force of the Elementals and the group known as ‘Rouges’ for their inability to accept the council’s rule was in the 1750’s and took drastic toll on the Elemental numbers. The Ministry of Magic has nothing to report on either subject. A press conference was held recently to advise that the Ministry has not received a request from the French Ministry for assistance nor are they involved with ‘Elemental Politics’ as they put it.

Contacts within Hogwarts have also confirmed that the school has not received word of a need for assistance nor have they been able to contact anyone inside the walls of the school. So just what is going on? Recent efforts by the Daily Prophet to visit the school have been unsuccessful and no information has been forthcoming from inside the school. After speaking with several groups of parents, it is unclear if they even know how to react to this situation. 50% of the parents polled were concerned about the situation while 30% were not. A surprising 20% said they do not bother to contact their children during the term, so they had no clue as to the current situation. These findings were rather disturbing to the Daily Prophet staff, who felt that parents should be more involved in their children’s lives. Of course, there is nothing illegal about the actions, just unsettling.

It is, as the reader would know, extremely difficult to get information from the Council, who have been hesitant in the past to provide the Daily Profit with quotes, interviews or confirmations of their activities. Of course, this sort of secrecy is not surprising in a group whose members do not outwardly admit their involvements. No Elemental has come to the Daily Profit with confirmation of the Council’s intentions.

The reader might remember, some years ago, when the Daily Prophet took the Council’s and it’s member’s intense secrecy to mean that they did not truly exist. We did at that time receive a rather fiery confirmation from one Goldana Meir, leaving no doubt as to the existence of the Elemental Order.

The Daily Prophet will not give up in their efforts to bring you the news!

Special Breaking News!

During the month of February, a group of Rouge Elementals set into motion a plan that they’d been working on for months prior. Sending a letter to Peter Alva Tannenbaum, Beauxbatons staff member and Harbinger of the Elemental Council at Inverness, they lured him away from his post under the guise of a false meeting in Scotland. During his absence the group of four Rogues Damek Soucek an Earth Rogue and the leader of the pack, Akaisha Gallagher another Earth Rogue, Adelgiese Brandt a fire Rogue and Tomas Gallo a Air Rogue and their wizard hostage by the name of Hopkurth entered the school grounds breaking the protective spells with intel they had received during the long months of planning. Their destination was the school’s atrium and it was there that their plan was quickly put into place.

Using a combination of runic bans and complex charms they spelled the plants in the atrium to grow at an unspeakable rate, quickly taking over the school’s building and cutting the inhabitants off from the outside world with one swift motion. The spell itself caused a ruckus, a loud and booming sound to echo through the hallways and corridors of the prestigious French school. This was the signal they waited for to start phase two of their plan. Knocking Hopkurth out and leaving him hidden in the Atrium, the four Rogues set themselves to screaming and yelling, stirring the students and staff awake and rushing to see what was happening.

Using a dangerous and illegal rune on their throats that encouraged belief of their falsehoods, the Rogues blamed the spell on Tannenbaum and told the residents of Beauxbatons that they were in fact, there to protect them, that the popular Professor had turned on them and attempted to kill them all. Though this was a fantastic tale indeed and the hearts of those who heard it struggled with accepting this as truth, they listened to the Rogues and hesitantly believed their lies.

As they stood talking the horrid situation became worse. The plants that were growing and covering the walls, ceiling and floors of the building began to rot, filling the school with a sticky, sweet putrid smell. The rotted and decaying plants did not die off,  however but continued to grow, covering all who came near them with their wetness and their stench seeming to leak into anything porous. If the stench and rubbery feeling of the plants wasn't bad enough, the thorns that continued to grow and sharpen oftentimes made simply walking in the hallways a hazardous experience. The infirmary was filled with students who had gotten too close to the thorns, some of them had their cuts infected by the plant's oozing; a healing treatment that baffled the school nurse. Ushering the students and staff back to their rooms, the Rogues began to roam the castle and ensure that all entrances and exits had been blocked off.

They made no ransom demands and instead of alerting the press or authorities as to their motive or wants, they simply kept the students and staff locked within the building of the school. Most feared them, few trusted them and there was one student who was drawn to not only their words but their ways as well. Perhaps it was the heavy runic tattoos that were drawn across their faces but Fabien Sanxay, a fifth year Ombrelune became enchanted with the Rogues and began following them around the school, slowly gaining their trust, showing them that he had been so hurt by the authorities at Beauxbatons that he’d do anything to extract his revenge.

Fabien Sanxay

Any slight against Fabien existed only in his own mind, but the boy was nonetheless entranced by the newcomers from the very start. Right from the first night when the Rogue elementals appeared he was fascinated by the idea that Professeur Tannenbaum was actually working against the students. Even without the influence of the illegal rune Fabien would probably have chosen to believe the lies he heard. Indeed, he went a step further. When one of the Rogues asked for help in supposedly removing the dangerous plants the fifth year was one of the first to volunteer, not through any altruistic motives but because he saw this as a way to learn new spells away from the hated classroom environment.

Although its was debateable how much help a disabled fifteen year old boy with below average grades was likely to be, the Rogues agreed the boy could assist. From then on he paid little attention to lessons, and could almost always be found in the company of one or more of the Rogues, hanging on to their every word and even drawing a version of their tattoos across his own face in a kind of tribute to his new friends. The disgust of some of his more honourable housemates was a small price to pay in return for his new, trusted position. It wasn't long before they were utilising their own talents in front of the fascinated Ombrelune, who paid attention in a way he rarely bothered with in class.

As the days passed, the situation did not get any better; in fact it slowly became some of the worst conditions the students had ever lived in. Fresh food was impossible to get, classrooms were now extremely muggy and many that were not used to the humidity found it not only hard to concentrate but hard to breathe as well. What the Rogues didn’t realize was that their captives were beginning to doubt their claims of Peter’s betrayal and the magic of the encouragement runes was beginning to wear off. The Rogues were cruel to the students, cold and distant to the staff and allowed no one to try and stand against them. Though they stopped just shy of physical violence, they successfully proved themselves as ‘rulers’ of the castle, thus setting in motion their own defeat. They had allowed several of their lower rogue operatives into the castle as well and were using these less-powerful elementals to extend their control over the students and staff, keep an eye on them and protect themselves.

Headmistress Olympe Maxine chose a group of select Professors and trusted upperclassmen within a week and half of the Rouge’s takeover of their school and the small faction began meeting secretly in the middle of the night, for the Rogues had begun to infiltrate the classrooms and interfere with everyday life at the magical school. At first the meetings began as nothing more than a way to support each other, these people who may not normally have been close were now reaching out for each other and trying to find answers to the problems they faced; problems they’d begun to fear would put their lives and the very future of Beauxbatons in danger.

Charmaine Cloutier

Being one of the professors who had developed a close relationship with Peter Alva, Charmaine Cloutier didn't hesitate in the least to join the headmistress's faction. Early on, she'd had hesitations concerning the strangers coming onto the school's property. These inclinations were quickly quieted by the runic magic. As the magic began to wear off, these suspicions put her on edge. When Caspian's information was brought forth, Cloutier nearly demanded to be at the front of the battlefield. While she was normally a pacifist, her anger toward the rogues and the guilt she felt toward herself for believing that her friend had done something so evil drove her to want blood.

As February drew to a close, a chance encounter by the sibling of Gethsémané de Sauveterre, a Bellefeuille sixth year who was part of the secret group strengthened their resolve to do something and seek help.

Caspian de Sauventerre, a Papillonlisse first year inadvertently overheard the Rogues speak of their intentions. White faced and trembling, the small boy ran immediately to his sister who brought him before Headmistress Maxine and the rest of the group to report what he had learnt. Peter had not set the spell at all! It was the Rogues themselves who had done it, with the help of a kidnapped wizard who lay somewhere amongst the plants of the atrium dying. They planned on killing everyone in Beauxbatons and blaming the Elemental Council at Iverness for their deaths.

With the help of Jérôme, a seventh year Ombrelune and Discipuli of the stone element, Arienette Renaldi used her hypnosis powers to  contact Peter through his dreams and send him a message that not only were the rumors true but the everyone inside Beauxbatons was in danger.  Peter, at once, called an emergency meeting of the Council and a plan was laid out.

The night that the plan was to commence, Jérôme Lévesque, Yvette Musard and Ophelia Baillon lead the student rebellion out into the castle from Madame Maxine’s office, these three students were all upperclassmen from Ombrelune and had taken charge of the students from the beginning. Yvette and Ophelia instructed the other students; Gethsémané de Sauveterre, Leilia Bernier, Amélie Marcéline, Émilie Côté,  Zidane Conneveue to lure the lesser rogues away from a discreet attic access point and towards the atrium in the center of the first floor.

The five staff members; Madame Maxine and Professors Burgstaller, Cloutier, Dauphin and Renaldi spread themselves out so that they were hidden along the hallways and corridors leading from the atrium. When the students had led the rogues into the atrium, they then joined their assigned Professor and helped them protect the rest of the students of Beauxbatons by not allowing any of the Rogues to leave the atrium area.

Jérôme used the help of Ivy Kloster, another Ombrelune and a Discipuli of the water element to break through the plants and vines using runic bans and gain access to a small, untouched attic space that few even in the castle of Beauxbatons knew about. There the two Discipuli greeted the arrival of their fellow elemental Advocates and Harbingers as Yvette and Ophelia kept watch. Lead by Peter Alva Tannenbaum, the Harbinger of Ice and Justyne Jaracas, the Harbinger of Air; the group quickly left the attic to join Yvette and Ophelia, who lead the elementals to the atrium. There, they broke into groups and attacked the more powerful rogues while the students and professors alike tried to overpower the remaining lower-ranking rogue operatives to protect the students still asleep in their common rooms.

Charmaine Cloutier

Headmistress Maxine, taking advantage of the professor's mystic abilities, requested that she remain near the back to help protect the students and elementals from the rogue's attacks. By releasing a sand consisting of dried red rose petals, mistletoe ashes, and dried holly into the wind, she created a protective circle around a number of the students. Barrett Barker, one of the lesser rogue operatives and earth elemental, took advantage of the woman's concentration and attacked her while she was casting her spell. Thorn covered vines wrapped around her legs and began rising up to constrict her body. Leilia Bernier attacked Barker to create a distraction long enough for Charmaine to finish the incantation.

Peter Alva, who had been in battle many times was determined to resolve the situation swiftly and with a minimal amount of violence. However, he had not anticipated the blind fanaticism of Damek Soucek. He had been hoped that being in a strategically weaker position he rogue might surrender. Unfortunately this was not the case.

They would have to fight.

It was him who opened the battle with an attack on Damek Soucek with the GARTH DICUBO spell, propelling  two ice boulders at the rogue. Damek was not swayed easily however and he quickly countered with  MADIN GRAV a protective shield of earth that deflected the ice boulders away from him. Pushing his energy nearly to it’s brink already, he directed his focus towards Peter’s feet and called forth MADIN DESERTO a thick, fast acting quicksand that began to pull at Peter’s legs and threatened to whisk him away until he turned the sand into ice with the  GARTH RALLUS spell, turning the ground into a slippery surface.

But while Peter was attempting to expand the ice to Damek’s feet, Damek was hard at work using MADIN LUTI to create clay statues and then MADIN DEMONUS to animate the statues. The ground beneath Damek’s feet became too slick for him to stand on and he went down hard on the ice, fracturing a wrist and shattering a knee. Peter did not have time to revel in his victory in the fight for he was being attacked by the clay creatures. Taking a hard blow to the side of his head, he attacked the clay figures with  GARTH PLEU making shards of sharp ice rain down from the ceiling above.

The clay figures shattered into pieces and evaporated into the ground. The shards of ice also hit Damek and the cuts that the ice made in the exposed skin of his arms and tattooed face began to bleed heavily. Ignoring his own throbbing pain, he attempted to completely disarm Peter by casting MADIN PAPAVER at him, creating a field of magical poppies at his feet, which immediately began to give off a sleep-educing scent. Peter’s natural instincts kicked in as his mind began to get groggy and his limbs suddenly seemed to heavy to lift, casting GARTH NIVIS nearly without thinking about it and a sudden snow storm blasted the poppies and rendered them useless.

Enraged, Damek threw all his power into MADIN IACERA creating a powerful earthquake that threatened to topple the building around Peter, who knew that not only was the spell one that his repertoire could not cancel but that Damek was now at his weakest. Putting all his attention to his next spells, Peter cast one after another, knowing that this was his only chance. First using  GARTH DETRAHEO to steal Damek’s remaining power and use it himself, he thrust all the energy he could into GARTH ITERNA causing Damek’s body to freeze from the inside before it suddenly burst into a million pieces, killing him instantly.

Peter was not without injury, however and was knocked down by several falling stones from the castle walls before the spell died along with it’s caster.

Zidane Conneveue

Sounds of the battle were all over the palace. The commotion was deafening as the battle raged on in the atrium. Rushing through the corridors, Zidane became fearful for the safety of the other, younger students. Moving along the corridor Zidane found the fighting to be mostly students on other rogues. As the duelers fought and wove among each other, Zidane saw a few rouges who were not specifically fighting any one student. Weaving his way towards the centre of the fighting, Zidane found Cedric Waiserman moving in on another student who was already deeply entangled with a rouge of her own.

Zidane rushed in, wand drawn and fired a spell directly at Cedric's chest. As the spell flew through the air, Cedric, hearing the shout, turned on heel and suddenly a wall of flame hot up in defense. Taken slightly by surprise at the walls appearance, Zidane moved between Cedric and Zidane's school mate. Wand raised, he began to circle as Cedric shouted the incantation, "INCIN CUBO!" With a sharp movement of his wand, Zidane shouted "Protegto" and a wall of magic deflected the ball that was racing towards him. Flashes of light and shaking ground caused Zidane to lose his balance as Cedric shot another fire ball his way. As the fireball raced towards him, he attempted to move but was not quick enough and the ball caught his right, non-wand arm.

Shrieking in pain, Zidane countered with a slashing motion and shouted "Sectumsempra". As he slashed, Cedric faltered in pain as a long cut appeared across his face. Both duelers injured rather seriously, Cedric shouted "INCINYS" and a breath of fire moved towards Zidane as Zidane shot a stunning spell in Cedric's direction. As the stunning spell went slightly off course, the fire breath caught the sleeve of Zidanes robe. Robe on fire, Zidane decided to cut his losses and slash at his sleeve, "Diffindo" and the sleeve fell, smoldering from his person. Zidane began firing curses, hexes, and jinxes in all directions. As his jelly leg jinx hit, Zidane's opponent began to wobble and sway until he was on the ground shaking uncontrollably. Moving from his position along the side wall, Zidane cast another "Sectumsempra" this time as a finishing blow, moving from the neck across the center mass of the body and the stomach. As Cedric lay bleeding, Zidane held on until he saw Cedric's head fall lifeless and at that moment he fell, unconscious to the stone floor of the corridor.

Advocate Dins and Discipuli Kloster went after Adelgiese Brandt the fire elemental who immediately threw INCIN DICUBO which caused two fireballs to burst out of the air and rush towards the women. Maire countered with HOR GRAV creating a wall of water to protect herself and Ivy as the younger elemental cast HORYSHELIX pushing a tornado of water towards Adelgiese, who was knocked to the ground by the spell, her energy sapped. Pushing herself to her feet, Adelgiese cast INCINYS blowing fire breath at the two elementals. Ivy pushed her energy into HOR MAXIMO and rose the humidity in the room to extinguish the fire but was distracted by the efforts of the spell and when Adelgiese cast INCIN IGNITIO, Ivy’s arms were set on fire.

Screaming for her sister of Hor, Maire cast HORYSPLEU creating a rain storm that put out the flames as Ivy morphed into a being of water to prevent her death, casting HOR GRAV as she did to protect herself. Maire rushed to her side and as Adelgiese blew the INCINYS breath of fire at her. Badly hurt, Maire reached out to touch Ivy, who morphed back into her human form and together the two females combined their powers to create HOR DICUBO two beams of water that attacked Adelgiese, knocking her to her knees.

With her last burst of energy, Maire cast HORYS blowing her own nebula breath at Adelgiese, sucking the last of her energy from her body. Before she collapsed on the ground Maire stayed on her feet long enough to verify that Adelgiese was dead. Too weak to even morph into their elemental states, the two elementals huddled on the ground, their hands clasped as their minds went nearly insane from the pain.

Advocate Laurent and Advocate St. Clair went after Tomas Gallo, the air elemental, who saw them coming at him and cast TYPH CUBO a strong beam of air at them. Isabelle was ready for him, however and she countered with her own TYPH DICUBO, two streams of air at him and knocking him several paces back. Alain threw up TYPH GRAV a wall of protection between himself, Isabelle and Tomas, who was already casting TYPH HELIX creating a full tornado that knocked through Alain’s wall of air and knocked him to the ground.

Isabelle used the opportunity to cast TYPH VOLO levitating several pieces of wall that had fallen around them and thrust them towards Tomas, Alain helping by casting TYPH DICUBO himself, the two streams of air making the levitating objects crash into Tomas with a near deadly force. Though he was nearly knock unconscious, Tomas cast the powerful TYPH FULGARA sending two bolts of lightning at the two.

Almost with a connected mind, the two elementals case their next spells at the exact same time. Isa cast TYPH CHARGEO creating a field of distortion around Tomas while Alain used TYPH ACIES to suck out the air around him, killing him instantly. Alain dropped to his knees and watched almost in muted horror as Isabelle fell to the ground almost in slow motion. Crawling to her side, Alain gathered her near lifeless body in his arms.

Harbinger Jaracas and Discipuli Jérôme went after Akaisha Gallagher the second earth elemental. Justyne immediately went on the offensive, casting TYPH DICUBO at Akaisha, sending two streams of air at her and sending the earth rogue stumbling back, screaming in pain before she began gathering her energy. Seeing this, Jérôme quickly took a defensive position, casting DEMIN GRAV and throwing up a stone wall of protection that deflected Akaisha’s MADIN DESERTO attempt, sending the quicksand off to the side where it was useless.

Immediately, Justyne threw TYPH HELIX sending a full tornado at Askaisha. She barely sidestepped the spell and threw GARTH IACERA at them, creating a powerful earthquake that nearly knocked them off their feet. Concentrating hard, Jérôme threw DEMIN ACIES sending a rain of sharp rocks towards Akaisha, cutting her skin deeply and causing her to curl into a ball to protect herself. Seeing her chance, Justyne cast TYPH TRANQUILLA sending a quiet but deadly storm at the Rogue.

With Akaisha down, Justyne cast TYPH FULGARA, sending a bolt of lightining to finish the job. Turning, she watched as a large crack appeared from the earthquake beneath Jérôme’s feet, using the last of her energy to push him out of the way. Jérôme had been hurt, unable to deflect all the stones that had fallen his direction because of the earthquake. But he did not give in to the pain or the weakness that threatened to overtake him.

With the last of the Rogues defeated, Justyne sank to the ground to try and regain her energy.

Rushing to aid the Elementals, the staff and students of Beauxbatons quickly spread the word throughout the castle. The Rogues had been defeated and they were once again safe!

It was two terms ago, so the 1996-1997 school year. But more specifically, I believe it was either April or May 1997.

Yep. The whole attack took place in either April or May. I believe the whole thing lasted a month to a month and a half at most.

You're welcome! ^_^
