[lazy moon] you break it, you buy it. [pippa]

If there was one thing Jeremy loved about the summer it was that he could finally go wherever he wanted whenever he wanted. Sure he liked being able to roam the castle grounds, and going to Hogsmeade, but all of that was on the time structure laid out by the school faculty. During the summer he had his own schedule and nothing was planned out. When he woke up, sometime in the very late afternoon he rolled out of bed and went straight for the fridge. He had missed breakfast but his mum always saved him something. He grabbed the plate covered by plastic and was smiling before he had even pulled it all the way open. Eggs smothered in cheese, toast, real bacon, and even some fruit. Jeremy might eat the fruit... maybe. He had to be healthy if he was going to make the Quidditch team this year after all. After he had scarfed down everything on the plate he put in in the sink and went back up the stairs to show. After he spent a good half hour soaking he got out of the shower fully awake and on the move. He rushed into his room, yanked open some drawers, and began throwing things all over the place. He turned behind him and grabbed a black shirt off the floor. After passing the sniff test he pulled it over his freakled chest and followed it with a pair of red shorts.

After putting on socks he barrelled back out of his messy room and slid down the hall til he got to the stairs. At the bottom he slid on his shoes, grabbed his wallet and sunglasses from the table by the door, and then he was gone. Jeremy wasn't old enough to apparate on his own so he used the floo network when he wanted to go to Diagon Alley. He loved his mum but he was so glad he was old enough to go shopping alone. She always tried to change his style and the clothes she picked were always itchy. Jeremy knew he was supposed to get a head start on his school supply shopping but he only had one store in mind. The Lazy Moon Smoke Emporium was like a mecca for the Gryffindor. It had plants, comics, music, herbs, everything he loved. He threw down a bit of powder and with a puff of smoke he landed in a common fireplace at the smoke shop. He shook any soot out of his hair and then smiled wildly. The smell of incense and the cool indie music fed his soul as he headed right for the pipe area. First thing on his to-buy list was a brand new pipe. The ones he had were all fine but they had started to blacken and nine times out of ten he broke them when he tried to clean them. And they were pretty decently priced here, so he could afford a new one.

He passed the racks of comic books and the sofas and went straight for the show cases. There wasn't a crazy amount of people inside the shop, but more than he had remembered seeing the last time he was here. He figured it was because school was out. There were a lot of people his age so he kept an eye out for anyone he might know. Jeremy hated being alone. He hated not having someone to talk to or to make laugh. He knew he should of invited Danny but honestly he hadn't thought that far ahead. All he could hope for was that he would run into someone he knew and maybe they would want to hang out for a while. He leaned over the counter and checked out the mid sized pipes, he didn't want a tiny one but he didn't want anything that was too big for him to hold comfortably with one hand. It had to be colorful and it had to be unique. He asked the attendant if he could see one that was clear with green and gold streaks running through it. He was bouncing on one foot and had more energy than he knew what to do with. Seeing the look on the employees face Jeremy tried his best to stand still.

Unfortunately that didn't do him much good because not three seconds after the man placed the glass pipe into his hand Jeremy dropped it. The older man cursed loudly at him and Jeremy's cheeks got red. He felt bad for breaking it. Immediately his hand went to his pockets, checking to see how much funds he had brought with him. He desperately hoped he would have enough sickles to both pay for the broken piece and for one to take home. "Yeah I know man, you break it you buy it." He said trying to be calm. "It was an accident just calm down. I'll pay for it in just a sec. I want to pick out one---" as soon as he mentioned that he wanted to buy another the other man immediately went off on another tantrum about Jeremy not touching anything. "Okay, okay!" He said, getting just a little bit louder... the guy was being insane. He hadn't done it on purpose and he had every intention to pay for it. You'd think the salesperson would want Jeremy to buy more than just one item. "Just let me look would ya'?" He said and carefully leaned over the counter again. Even though he was once more attempting to stand still the music that was playing kept his foot bouncing and his head bobbing to the rhythm. Dark red hair flying back and forth as he did. There were just too many options it was hard to pick just one.
