Short professor sheets

This has just occurred to me, and in light of recent discussions I'm going to post it here rather than in admin so everyone can see what's going on!

Regarding short professor sheets, do we think a pureblood who is created simply as a professor should need to have EFBs? Personally I think no, but if the driver then decides to turn them into a "full" character at a later date, then EFBs must be created at that point when the new sheet is sorted. Does that sound reasonable?

Obviously I'm thinking from my own viewpoint atm, as the BB prof I'm planning is a pureblood - but I suspect I might want to make him a full-length sheet at a later date xD

I agree with that, it makes sense to have a short professor app not need an EFB since they are there for just classes and such. If the driver wants to make it a full-length sheet they have to include the EFB.

Sounds like a good plan. If they want to play the character outside the classroom / professor duties, then they should opt for the full character sheet, therefore EFB's as well. If not, then the short professor sheet and no efb's needed. I think adding them to the used name list as pureblood with like a little astrik or something to state there's no efb for them at 'this time'.

My only snag is if then the professor comes from a wealthy background, would they have to apply for it "now" to mention it, or "later" when (if) they plan to make them full characters?

That makes sense to me--and if there was a thought of rich/influential eventually but no time/will right now, said person could probably play them as a prof without that and then choose to apply and do a bit of history/personality tweaking if a full sheet was ever made. Given that there's always a chance of a rich app or an SF not being approved, you usually end up imagining what they'd be like with and without it anyways...

Yes, I wondered that as well, though it isn't going to apply here - Gaston's created his own business, but his own family were middle class/upper middle class (haven't decided yet) so that wouldn't be an issue.

So... no initial EFB for the short sheet, but any kind of status has to be applied for later if a full sheet is created; EFBs must be submitted then, but we add them to the used name list as soon as the character is sorted on the short sheet.

Does that work for everyone?

That's what we figured. I say "we" - it wasn't my idea. I was just like "whoa! Awesome, why didn't we think of that before!"
