[Daily Prophet] Destroyed by naivety (Emmitt, Artie)
« on: October 28, 2013, 11:33:58 AM »
The newest Daily Prophet was released just that week. Theophilus Dayton did not put an article in this paper only because he has not had the time. He was working at the tattoo parlor a little more and has not had the time to actually attempt to find the time to interview the people he was interested into interviewing. He was going to attempt to talk to an artist very soon though. He did recently interview someone to help him out a little bit. Hopefully she was not super slow and picked up on everything fast. He was excited to have someone underneath him that he could teach. Theo loved teaching people how to draw or paint, but teaching them about the Prophet was a lot different and he was really excited. It was something new that he could experience. The newest Prophet had an article that Emmitt produced. He was proud of it. It was about muggleborns. Not many people knew that Theo's mother was a muggleborn and went through a lot. He went through so much more but Theo understood everything that he went through. He really felt bad for him and really appreciated the article. He feared for his mother every day.

As he walked back to the break room he seen the person he really wanted to speak to. Theo smoothed his sweater down. "Hey Emmitt!" He smiled brightly at him. Theo always liked Emmitt. He would consider him a friend. He was always super nice to everybody. They actually both went to school together. Theo did not remember him but he was a Ravenclaw two years behind him. If Theo was not focused on Artie he probably would have been closer to him. "How have you been doing?"

He smiled. Theo knew he went through a lot and had his good days and bad days. Hopefully today was a good day. If not, Theo would try to cheer him up. He was something he would stand up for and protect. Theo smiled at him and spoke up about the article, "Just wanted to say I really appreciate your article." He smiled at him. Hopefully he did not take it the wrong way. Did Emmitt know about Theo's mother?

we clawed, we chained our hearts in vain we jumped never asking why
we kissed, I fell under your spell. a love no one could deny

Theo smiled at the man before him before taking a seat. "I've been pretty good." Theo was not going to talk to him about the weird vision he had of his best friend or even mention anything about seeing anything. Theo was very different from other wizards already, but seeing things would just label him as crazy and would be instantly be sent to the psyche ward of Mungo's. As he spoke about the real issues Theo nodded at him intently listening. When he spoke about Snatchers and Death Eaters he wanted to shudder. He was so thankful his mother did not have to deal with them. Theo was really never harassed about the issues when they confronted him about his mother leaving the country. Yet, Theo just told them he did not know anything about her or his father leaving and he just took over the house for the time being for his sisters. When his sisters wanted to leave school he told them to stay put. Theo was the rock of the family during the time. He knew his mother appreciated it but she was never the same. Emmitt seemed pretty sane to Theo, though he never spoke to him about the situations. "We should put stories in the paper about what happened to many of the muggleborns. Many people would be interested in other people's situations and stories. I know many people that would have inspiring stories to tell about the hardships that would draw all of us together as a magical community. Just the people need to open up a little more." He smiled gently at him.

"The more people know, the faster we can put people away from the crimes they did against other people." Theo was pretty supportive of putting people away. He really did not know many people who did horrible things to people. He heard of one person he knew from the Daily Prophet who done the horrible acts but he did not remember who it was. After that vision that he had of Artie he was not sure of many things though. That was a scary vision and scary scene that he never wanted to see again. Theo bit his lip as the thought came back into his mind... instantly he pushed it away and put his focus back onto Emmitt.

"My mom went through a lot during that time, if you did not know." Theo kept most of his bloodline a secret. His father was a Pureblood and family was known for their animal work, but his mother was completely muggle.
