"You are too good..."
Giving his brother a wry grin, the wizard shrugged lightly “Well, there are only a few things that I know of that could make you look like you’d just seen McGonagall in her nightdress, and cougars are one of them. At his brothers continued recounting of his traumatic experience Leifr couldn’t hold back a chuckle, though he did understand where Sindri might feel out of his depth, too “ Right at the bar, hey? I mean, you are one of our dad’s boys...” He trailed off, taking pity on his younger brother, almost giving into the urge to ruffle the mans hair teasingly “ If you point her out to me, I can always run interference if you need it..she sounds a bit intense.” Leifr enjoyed women, but even cougars could be a bit much for him. They were just a little too er...predatory even for him.
Leifr was taken by surprise for a moment when Sindri suggested firewhiskey, and noticed the hesitation in his voice, and was about to suggest they start with something more tame when Sindri had suddenly made up his mind and ordered for them. He was always in for shots, especially firewhiskey, he just hoped Sindri wasn’t pushing himself too far too fast. Grinning at his brothers decisiveness the ex-Gryffindor raised an eyebrow as he listened to his brother speak, waving him off as he acted like he wasn’t allowed to talk about himself “You’re allowed to babble on from time to time, you know. Scary cougars are scary” He finished chuckling, then set about answering his brothers question properly “Things are pretty typical, not much going on, work, and women, and the essentials. Can’t complain, though honestly. How about you? Things must be going pretty well if you’ve got pieces here, yeah?” All three brothers were good with their hands, and with generally being able to fix or make what they needed, but Sindri was the most artful about it. What his brother could put together would have taken Leifr much much longer and twice the effort.
Squeezing his brothers shoulder affectionately the man nodded “It has been, too long for my tastes, but we can remedy that tonight.” Had he and Tor gone out and gotten blind last week? They must have because Leifr couldn’t really remember much beyond hazy faces and a few misty memories “We must have, cause I don’t remember much...except that Tor can hardly go anywhere without someone recognizing him....our brothers getting famous, can you imagine that? But regardless of that, you should come out with us next time, have a good time or two..” He trailed off as their shots were delivered, taking his, he lifted it into the air, and paused for a moment before deciding on a toast “Here’s to family success, and dodging elderly cougars!” With that, Leifr had just begun to tilt his glass back to take his shot when a familiar voice, and an arm slinging itself over his shoulder made him bring it back down and turn towards his other brother.
“I swear, all we have to do is say your name and you appear, like Voldy himself.” He exclaimed happily, ignoring the soot that his brother had so kindly gotten all over his shirt. Eyeing his brother’s state the man grinned mischievously “So, what brings you here, Cinderella?” He wasn’t quite clear on who cinderella was, but he remembered enough of the story from when his mum would tell them that he was pretty sure it had something to do with soot. After a pause, Leifr finally threw back his shot, hissing as the burn hit the back of his throat. Rolling his eyes gently Leifr shook his head “We were actually, about how horrid you are at Quidditch, and how we can’t fathom how you managed to make the pro’s...” He was teasing, but Torsten Trickett was in danger of having a larger ego than even he did, and Leifr couldn’t let that happen. Nudging his middle brother gently Leifr gestured towards the bar, and waited till Torsten had gotten himself something to drink “So, you missed quite the scandalous story, Sindri here has found himself a married cougar....” He was curious to see how Tor would react to that news for sure.
