[solved] How exactly does sorting work?
« on: April 08, 2014, 12:15:35 PM »
Hello all I am new here. I read the new players guide, but I am still a little confused. How exactly does the sorting work? Do I just list the house I want to be a part of if I want my character to go to Hogwarts?

Yep! Just make sure you use the Hogwarts Student character sheet template and fill that out.

Welcome to MH!
what  i  love  most  about  rivers  is:  you  can't  step  in  the  same  river  twice.  the  water's  always  changing,

always  flowing.  i  look  once  more  just  around  the  riverbend,  somewhere  past  the  sea,  don't  know  what  for

Yes when you fill out your character sheet, the admin will come along, and they will read though it, and if there need to be any changes, then they will tell you, then you can change it to what they need you to do. Then if there no more changes, they will pick your house.

Hiya Jon!

As the lovely Zanny and Ashton have explained, first of all, you'll need to complete a character sheet which are located here. You can fill out your character with the house you want to be in in mind. For example, you can list various Gryffindor traits if that's the house you'd prefer. In case you haven't read it, the character creation guide should explain the various parts of the sheet more clearly for you.

I'd also suggest making yourself a sandbox. Here, you can get feedback from members if you need some help filling out your character sheet. It's a good idea and it's usually the easiest way for you to meet everyone and find connections and develop your character a little more. If you're still unsure, please feel free to contact one of the admins and we'll be happy to assist you :]
