Simmer down and pucker up
I'm sorry to interrupt
It's just I'm constantly on the cusp of trying to kiss you
I don't know if you feel the same as I do
But we could be together if you wanted to

Saturday, the wizard hated working Saturdays. Not to mention the frustration that came when he finally stepped out of the shop and the sun was completely gone. Keeping a nice even stride as he walked he looked to his watch, noticing that it was already past eleven o’clock at night, he sighed internally. Although, he loved his job- most days- it was a pain in the ass when his weekends were taken away from him. No matter, he thought casually, it wouldn’t stop him from enjoying his weekend if he could help it. And he made sure of this by making a pit stop at the liquor store right down the street from his flat; picking a top shelf bottle of tequila in hopes of getting completely thrashed and acting a fool with the woman waiting for him back at home. Alcohol in tow and a smile on his face from his thoughts, he made his way to his flat in London. But just before the wizard even stepped on the path leading to his door, he could hear someone blaring music from one of the apartments in his area. At least they’d picked a decent song, he thought as he whistled the familiar tune, singing along with the lyrics he knew and tapping various pockets with the beat as he looked for his house key. The closer Julian came to his door the louder the music seemed to grow, until finally, he stood gaping at his closed front door realizing that the music was coming from his flat.

Eva, was all he could think snippily as he went to put the key in the door. What the hell was she thinking? He had whiny neighbors- but his thought where interrupted by the door behind him opening suddenly. Shiiiit, Julian thought, defeated and contemplating on the spot apparation before he even turned around; he knew what was coming as he turned to look at Mrs. Robinson. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard and Julian usually did everything in his power to avoid her at all costs, ‘Oi- You think you can turn off that bleedin’ noise?! It’s been blasting and rocking my house all day- Knocked a bit of my china from the wall!’ She pointed an old knobby finger at him angrily, ‘You’re lucky I haven’t called the guards'- The door was slammed shut then and Julian turned back to his own door. Knocked a bit of china from my wall, Julian mocked her voice in his head grouchily; he knew she was being dramatic since her apartment was nowhere near close enough to vibrate things off her wall. But this wasn’t the first time he’d gotten a tongue lashing from his across the hall neighbor. In fact, there was a drunken memory of him puking in the walkway, one too many shots of something he recalled tasting like gasoline, which apparently was signified as disrespect and a disregard for others.

But the tattooed man put a stop to his recollection once he discovered there wasn’t a need for his key; the door seemed to be unlocked. The ex slytherin watched as his door swung open, shaking his head at the fact that Eva not only had been blasting music all day but hadn’t bother to lock the door, “Fucking brilliant,” he grumbled putting his keys back into his pocket. Just getting off work, Julian merely wanted to relax, get drunk, and unwind; getting bombarded with annoyances wasn't something he was expecting to deal with. Walking into the doorway of his flat and closing and locking the door behind him, Julian settled his things down on the floor near the door. Taking a few steps towards the record player Julian quickly sought his wand from the pocket of his trousers and wordlessly willed the music to stop playing. He outstretched his arms exasperated as he looked for a sign of the rainbow haired girl, “Really?” He asked as though his frustration was obvious, his eyebrows pulled together indignantly.

It had been almost two weeks since they’d returned from Thailand. Eva had spent every night except one at his house, but if asked she probably wouldn’t be able to answer whether it felt like she was his guest or his girlfriend. Or which one she'd prefer. She didn’t really think about it as much as she probably should have, and for whatever reason, they hadn’t really discussed it. The one night away from here had been at Elaine’s house. It had been over a month since she’d seen her little brunette friend. Needless to say, she was currently quite preoccupied with Julian right now.  Eva’s blue eyes flicked to the door as it opened. She hadn’t heard it over the music that she was singing along to. The rainbow-haired girl propped herself up on an elbow as he stepped in and turned the music off.

His frustration was totally lost on her.

“Julian,” she said, as if it were a greeting. Her face broke into a beaming smile as she pushed herself up off of the couch, stretching her arms above her head for a moment before letting them fall to her sides. The witch had slept for several hours after he’d left – there was no reason for her to be out of bed, after all – and she hadn’t done much else until now. She’d sunk some time into reading a book Elaine was trying to get her to read, but she had some trouble wrapping her head around some of the more muggle concepts and language in it. There were far too many muggle references in there. She’d had fruit for breakfast quite some time after lunchtime and showered, and then she’d just sort of waited. Eva had contemplated leaving several times, but she’d wanted to be here when he got back and she wasn’t sure what time he was finishing work. She’d been bored.

Subconsciously, she absorbed his reaction to her enthusiastic hello. Eva closed the space between them, intent obvious in her gaze. “Busy day?” she asked, but the question was mostly rhetorical. She didn’t really care what his day had been like. He was here now. The girl didn’t give him a chance to respond, instead stepping in close with a blazing look in her eyes and pressing her lips to his in a deep, sensual kiss. After a moment, she pulled back only to rain hungry kisses down his jaw and the side of his neck. Her lips twitched into a smile against his skin as she stopped. “It’s my favourite song,” she explained, twirling away from him playfully and making her way to the kitchen. “I’ve gone through most of your records.”

Julian- who moments ago had been overblown in frustration from Eva’s carelessness- found himself surprisingly deflated. He had been determined to confront her on her mishaps, inform her of her carelessness, but his conscience was now holding a limb fish in place of a steady sword upon watching her face light up to his presence as his eyes found her on the couch. On his couch, he thought complacently, waiting for him like she’d been doing for almost two weeks now. After years of small flings and casual hook ups, it surprised the wizard how much he enjoyed coming home to the same face every day; how a mere smile managed to make him forget what he was annoyed about in the first place.

Holding his stance, Julian’s arms remained outstretched, though the angry furrow in his brow slowly soothed as she stretched her long limbs above her head. Julian’s gaze started on her face and traveled down the length of her quickly; a beaming smile and pair of long legs were usually his undoing. And it was. He found himself silently backpedaling the events from moments ago- had it really even been all that bad? She’d picked an incredible song at least; one of his favorites that he’d been guilty of playing rather loudly himself from time to time. Not to mention Ms. Robinson never having a tolerance for him so much as smoking outside, in the free air- mind, let alone blaring music. And lastly, he casually marked the unlocked door as a mindless mishap that anyone could make.

The wizard narrowed his eyes a bit but a slow small lopsided smile quietly formed on his lips as she closed the space between them. Busy day? More than eight hours of work every day just to pick up where they lacked in employment. It didn’t help that the last two tattoo conventions, first in Italy then in Thailand, spread the word about the shop like wild fire. The British wizard had piles of request drawings to tend to and more letters than he knew what to do with. Though, the ex Slytherin hadn’t been hell bent on answering since the Bulgarian seemed to have read his mind by placing her lips on his. Instinctively, Julian eyes closed and his outstretched arms slowly twined around her waist like a serpent would its prey as they kissed. A hungry desire slowly rising in him as she trailed her lips on his chin and neck. Then silently wondering why she’d suddenly stopped.

Julian nodded slowly in agreement, a wide grin shown on his features upon learning that the song was one of her favorites as she twirled and casually broke the hold he’d had on her. As if biting back the desire coursing through him Julian took his bottom lip in with his teeth, watching as she made her way towards the kitchen. “Oh yeah?” He replied as she called back to him about going through his records. He took a few steps backwards to grab the liquor from out of the bag that was on the floor before taking a few long strides to catch up to her. Julian responded with a light smacking on her bottom from behind, perhaps a bit of playful discipline for going through his records before pulling the tequila bottle out in sight, “I come bearing gifts.”

“Tequila,” she said, another bright, charismatic smile lighting up her expression. The word was spoken with a mix of approval and delight. She’d been bored all day, cooped up in this tiny cage of an apartment, and it felt like she’d been holding all of her energy inside until now. Eva was an electric girl. She was often a mess of enthusiasm and interest, and she’d spent too much time alone over the past couple of weeks. Right now, she was overspilling with energy. Eva spun to face him, before placing her palms on the kitchen bench behind her and bouncing up to sit on it. She swung her legs back and forth off of the edge of the kitchen counter, it’s surface cool against her bum even through her skimpy shorts. She reached out for the bottle and for him, pulling him close and kissing him again before pushing him back so that she could pour their drinks. She waited for him to pass her two glasses.

Maybe tomorrow morning she’d try to convince him to stay at home with her again. The days were long and boring, and she hated that after their little adventure she’d ended up back in boring old London. Of course, she could always escape this dreary city … but she’d rather he escape with her. The girl’s blue eyes flicked to his impishly – she could think of a few things that might convince him not to leave their bed. Their bed? Eva smiled to herself, focussing for a moment on unscrewing the cap on the tequila bottle. Well, his bed. She’d hadn’t even been in it for a whole fortnight yet.

“I want to get another tattoo,” she commented vaguely, pouring each of them an oversized shot of the amber liquid. “I don’t know what of yet. Something fun.” The rainbow haired girl screwed the lid back on to the tequila bottle and placed it beside her. She carefully picked up their shot glasses and passed him one without a word. “Maybe here,” she added, lifting up her shirt a little and indicating the area above her waist, beside her right breast. Eva held her shot glass out to tap against his before throwing it back with ease. There was a minimal burn as the liquid hit her throat, and the woman wiped her lips with the back of one hand absentmindedly.

They needed a nice slice of lemon or lime to go with the stuff. “Can I ask you something about Elaine?” she asked, the question fluttering into her mind seemingly out of nowhere. Eva held her hand out for his glass, making grabby motions until he passed it to her. She poured them another shot each. She flicked her gaze back up to his curiously as she passed him his drink. “Do you still like her better than me?” she assumed that he’d be hesitant, so she urged, “I don’t mind.” And it was true. It might have had something to do with the fact that she had the highest possible opinion of her little brunette friend, but she really wouldn’t have minded if he’d answered with a yes. Eva tilted her head back slightly as she downed her second shot. Maybe there was a chance of revisiting old memories with the three of them. Eva certainly wasn't imposed to involving other people in their relationship, and Elaine wasn't just anyone.

“Tequilaaa,” He repeated to her animated reaction, a horrible mocking of a Spanish accent on his tongue as they made their way into the kitchen. It was astounding, really, how easy he was able to let go of his inner turmoil within a second upon seeing her. Her vibrant and electric vibes affecting his without so much as lifting a finger; always feeding into her strangely addicting magnetism. It was easy for him to happily get lost into all the exciting shades of her aura. Perhaps too easy. The wizard watched as she positioned herself on his counter, reaching out for him and the bottle, a mischievous one sided smile on his features as he obliged her without hesitation. With his hands now free, he allowed them to slide up on either side of her smooth bare thighs, stopping once he reach the sides of her bum and squeezing a as he returned a eager kiss on her lips.  Julian laughed, biting his lips again, as he was quickly pushed lightly towards the cabinets to fetch their glasses. There was always a very real desire just below the surface that he had with the rainbow haired girl, that he couldn’t help, but he knew she’d been right to stop. Now was the time for drinks. Drinks that would inevitably lead to where he was trying to go in the first place, he thought naughtily.

In quick knowing movements, he grabbed two classes from the cabinet and handed them over to her before padding his pockets for his fresh pack of cigarettes. Pulling them out and packing them against his palm, the wizard took advantage of the silence and let his mind wander a bit.  Although Julian had sworn off Eva as a romantic interest months ago- Thailand seemed to have had a very opposite reaction; he was more close to her than ever before. They came back from their trip, as unexpected traveling companions, to........to what? Julian stopped his thoughts there for a moment. What precisely was going on here? They'd spent so much time together as of late, Julian deemed himself a bit confused on their relationship status. Relationship?! It’s not as though the British wizard was exactly qualified to determine what a relationship looked like…he hadn’t been in a 'serious' one since Hogwarts, so very long ago. But the tattooed man didn't want to begin going down that beautiful, messy, and uncertain road so he pushed the thoughts of his past to the back of his mind- right now was a time to start drinking…not complicating whatever good thing he had going on at the moment.

“Nice. What are you thinking of getting?” Julian’s fingers twitched instinctively at the mentioning of tattoos as he watched her pour the oversized shots; a grin overtaking his features since she practically read his mind yet again. He took the shot glass with his free hand as he watched her point out the placement idea for her tattoo, he nodded as a show of agreement, “Hell yeah. That’s sexy. Maybe something water colored there…something colorful…" A thought came to him. The wizard remembered seeing her eyeing a few of his works, remembering one particular animal that she'd stopped on for a little longer than the rest, "A fox for a fox,” He sent her a ridiculously slow wink before continuing seriously, “I’ve done a few watercolors that came out pretty decent though. You could incorporate the fox with the water color and that would probably be pretty bad ass.”

Julian got lost in his ideas for a moment, all ink was good but working with colors was always a nice change of pace, not to mention more of a challenge. It was without question that he’d do the tattoo for her- or he assumed rather- as he clinked glasses with her before downing his shot. Holy shit, Julian’s faced scrunched up the tiniest bit from the bite of the liquor, the liquid leaving a slow burning trail down his esophagus. Had he been so careless as to forget the salt and lime? He looked around the table a bit before spotting a few in the bowl of fruits; Eva had been on some kind of fruit diet as of late so there was an abundance of healthy food where there was normally junk. ....Which he found mildly interesting that he was so accommodating to these things…smirking, he tossed over his pack of cigarettes to her, "Open these, will you."

The tattooed wizard began setting up right next to her, he grabbed a cutting board, and with his wand, went to work on slicing the limes as she asked her most random question to date. He looked over to her, noticing her hands opening and closing like a child would do for her toy. Entertained briefly by her charm, he handed over his glass before getting back to his work, “What about Elaine?” He silently wondered how she was; unlike his rainbow haired accomplice, it had been a while since he’d seen the brunette. There was a moment of hesitation in his wand work as the next question spewed from her rather bluntly, but this was Eva after all. Julian snuck a look at her before continuing again, smiling at the awkwardness, “Uh. I appreciate you both for letting me stay with you when I had nowhere else to go,” This of course was not the answer to the question she asked but Julian felt wrong to answer with the same bluntness, though he liked to remain as honest as possible. He'd had an eye on Elaine for a while now...but he wasn't entirely sure if that was still the case.

After putting the lemons into a small bowl to grab at leisure and placing the salt between the two, he grabbed the towel hanging from the sink door to wipe his hands with. Eva politely urged then and it was enough for the wizard to feel like he could talk freely, “Honestly?” He titled his head at her once, his question rhetorical before he started, “I have more of a connection with you…you know this…but she’s my usual type. Small, brunette…big…expressive eyes…” The wizard looked at Eva, throwing the towel over his shoulder smoothly before placing a bit of salt on the space between his thumb and pointer finger as he continued easily, “And she’s awesome- fighting for rights, working with kids and that.” He shrugged before taking a bit of salt on his tongue, downing the shot, and placing a lime wedge in his mouth as though he’d done so a thousand times before.

“Watercolour?” she asked, testing the unfamiliar term. “Like paintings?” The Bulgarian girl tilted her head to the side slightly, imagining covering herself in watercolour tattoos. Moving ones, maybe. She could be like a walking billboard for art and let her whole body be the canvas. Entertaining these ideas put a smile on her face. “A watercolour fox?” She liked the idea, though a part of her wouldn’t mind exploring the watercolour thing a little further. Why not a jellyfish, or a golden snidget? A watercolour hippogriff that covered her entire back, perhaps? She hadn’t really seen watercolour tattoos on people before, and she wondered exactly how they’d look.

Catching his packet of cigarettes with ease, Eva began humming the melody of the song she’d been playing earlier. She wondered briefly why he’d turned the music off, but the thought barely crossed her mind. He answered her question with hesitation, just like she’d thought that he would. It was puzzling, the way that relationships seemed to work. She was friends with Elaine, and the three of them had done many an activity together, but now that she was staying with Julian it was somehow wrong for him to talk about how much he liked the brunette? It didn’t make any sense. After opening the packet, the rainbow haired girl held her hand out for his glass again, and she focussed on pouring them each another shot while he spoke. Eva placed the glasses on the bench beside her rather than drinking them straight away, though – she could still feel the warmth and taste the unpleasant tang of her last shot.

She drew a cigarette and offered it to him, holding the smoke nonchalantly between two fingers. Small brunettes? Well she was far from that. Eva didn't really seem to have a specific 'type' when it came to appearances. She liked men who were taller than her, because she was quite tall, and she liked women who were smaller than her, but exceptions to either of these were fine. She wouldn't avoid a guy because he was 5'9 or something. Eva couldn't really think badly of Elaine in any way, so Julian's words were met with a fond smile rather than any sort of disagreement or discontent. “Would you like me better if I was smaller?” she asked with a teasing smirk. When he came closer, she pulled her hand back, so that he had to come a little closer to get his cigarette. Eva grabbed a handful of his shirt with her other hand and pulled him over to her, wrapping her long legs around his body. A playful smile tugged at her lips as she leant into him. “It’s okay,” she said again, “It’s Elaine. She’s perfect.”

“It looks almost exactly like a painting, yeah……it would fit you, I think…” he agreed. There was a small debate in his mind as he thought about retrieving his tattoo portfolio to give her a visual but he’d had enough of work for one day; wanting to keep the conversation light. “Once I get this done,” He barely pulled up his shirt, certain she’d seen it many time before, to show the outlined tattoo of a tiger head on his abs, “I wanna get something on my back. It’s too empty.” It was true, besides the neck tattoo that circled around; Julian’s back was the only place that was left untouched.

Julian’s eyebrows raised, a small laugh escaping him at her teasing. Though it was only a joke the wizard felt just a small pang of guilt in the pit of his stomach, “What? Come on now- you wanted me to be honest…and that kind of thing doesn’t really matter at the end of the day…”  Eva pulled the cigarette out of reach and in return he stepped closer, snatching and placing it behind his ear for now; too drawn into whatever game she was playing to worry himself with smoking. Julian’s small smirk turned to a surprised grin as she grabbed a fist full of his shirt to pull him in between her legs. The wizard’s hands were already gripping both her bare thighs again as she wrapped them around him.

Instead of being confronted with a jealous kind of tongue that he’d been expecting, Eva only reassured him by agreeing. It’s Elaine, she’s perfect. It was then that the wizard placed the side of his face against hers, only paying half a mind to this Elaine business now that he was- so literally- wrapped up in Eva again. His breath right in her ear when he spoke, “You’re perfect,” he replied quietly, as smooth as the skin his hands were touching, before leaning into her further to place his lips to her neck. "And speaking of perfection," Julian pulled back at bit, taking his bottom lip in with his teeth as he admired her, before he added, "Me and you...we roommates now or what?"

“Maybe you should get my face tattooed on your back,” she suggested playfully. “Then again, maybe the colours would seem out of place…” Eva smiled, wondering why it was exactly that he’d left that place on his body free from ink. Perhaps he preferred having tattoos that he could actually see himself. She could see the appeal there. Eva had had tattoos removed because she’d gotten bored with them already, and the witch wondered whether or not that would be the case if she had one she couldn’t see so often. As he moved over to her, Eva watched him with a playful smirk. “Maybe I should dye my hair brown…?” Her suggestion was accompanied with a slight head tilt, indicating her curiosity. It was obvious that she was playing with him, but it was by no means mean-spirited. The girl was simply teasing.

Eva felt a buzz zip over her skin. It started from the place where his lips brushed against her neck and spread all down one side of her body, leaving goosebumps. She wondered if it was purely physical, or if she was reacting to his words too. Instead of replying, Eva simply tilted her head further to the side for him and slid her hands around his waist, pulling him a little closer with her legs. The curve of his neck made a nice resting place for her head. “Roommates?” she murmured, smiling into his skin. Right now she couldn’t possibly imagine why she’d say no. They’d spent almost every single day together for a month and a half and she wasn’t sick of him yet. Right at this moment, the girl wasn’t aching to get out of London or spend time with other people like this. Julian was fun and exciting, at least for now.

“Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?” she asked, in velvety tones. There was a little mockery there, and false surprise. If she could take a look at the way she’d felt at this moment in previous relationships, Eva might be surprised. It wasn’t unusual for the girl to fall into this sort of heavy infatuation with others, especially when there was a lot of sex and excitement involved. Especially when the other party was as into her as Julian seemed to be. If she was more introspective, Eva might realise that the feeling usually didn’t last very long, but she wasn’t an introspective girl at all. In fact, the witch invested herself in the idea of living in the moment, and turning her focus outside of herself. She always had. It certainly made for an exciting life. Eva kissed his neck lightly, feeling especially light and carefree. “Well then, yeah,” she answered, pulling back a little to look at him.

A pleased smile spread across her lips, the spark and energy in her eyes totally unguarded. “Yeah, I guess we’re roommates.” She moved forward, pressing her lips to his demandingly and moulding her torso against him as best she could. He tasted like tequila. Her hands appeared at his chest and moved upward over his shoulders. After a moment of this, she pulled back, reaching with one hand for one of the little glasses she’d placed beside her earlier. She wiggled it in front of him until he took it, then reached for the other glass and held it up to tap his. “Cheers,” she said.
