[sorcha's flat] shake me down [#torsten]

Knock knock knock.... knockknockknockknock! Sorcha rolled over. Who the bloody hell was awake at this hour? She let out a guttural groan and flapped her arms out to her sides in defeat. This fool was still knocking on the damn door! "HOLD ON A SEC YOU FU-- PIECE OF SHAT!" Censored! NICE! She was getting mildly better at it when she had a quick second to think about it. You never know, could be the landlady. She folded her arm and wiped away her crazed bangs with the back of her hand. "Ughhhhhh!" She moaned, using her arms to push herself up and out of bed.

Rough night.

As soon as the light from the window sliced it's rays across her eyeballs, Sorcha flinched and pressed her hands into her sockets. "Brilliant." she said bitterly, scooching her behind to the edge of the bed and sending a quick glance around for the most accessible articles of clothing she could find.

Shirt. Check! Sorcha hopped up and snagged the wadded up tee and tugged it over her mangled mess of hair. Now, pants... these were always the most difficult things to find. Probably near the laundry she decided. And so her feet shuffled themselves happily across the floor, her ears ignoring the beating her door was taking because this poor soul was on her time now. Sorcha had yet to discern who owned the voice on the other side.

"Aha!" She said half-heartedly, and stuffed her hand into the clothing -- before immediately pulling it back out again. "What in Merlin's name!..." Sorcha's brown eyes bulged as she looked down at her dirt covered and possibly bloody covered hand. And the knocking kept up. She had had it!

Marching to the door, Sorcha's brows were furrowed, gaze ready to kill, and hand aching like a son of a bitch! No! Don't focus on that! This idiot needs to realize people need their sleep to recover from whatever the Hell she had gotten herself into this time! Hand around the knob, Sorcha turned it and flung the door open. "JUST WHO IN THE PITS OF HELL DO YOU THINK YOU - OH HI!" Sorcha's mood flipped like a coin and her arms were suddenly wrapped around the culprit on the other side! Disregard she still hadn't taken the time to sport some trousers of any kind, typical Sorcha move. "What happened!?" She asked obliviously, holding out her hand like a wounded pup.

Why was it whenever he needed to talk to someone his best friend was sleeping? This woman slept way to much. Torsten Trickett kept pounding on the door, occasionally making a knocking patterned smirking himself. He was not planning to stop until this woman woke up. Torsten and Sorcha have been friends actually since Hogwarts. They were basically clones of each other. Two sarcastic, amazingly awesome, and quidditch nuts were usually a bad thing to mix together, but they actually calmed each other down half the time. Sorcha made Torsten usually feel less insecure and more like himself. She was literally one of the only people that he would consider family other than his real, huge, family. Whenever something was on his mind, he would come to hear and vent his soul out.... she would do the same. It was better than these nuts bottling it up. She was his best friend. One of his only true friends.

He heard heard ruffling in the house and someone yelling at the door. That's Sorcha for you. He couldn't help to chuckle gently. He just wanted to keep knocking to make fun at it. So he continued knocking until the woman opened the door shouting who the hell was does he think he was. Then he stood up with hand up at the door like he was in mid-knock. He was about to yell how the dare you interrupt my knocking session, he thought it would be funny but he just woke her up to vent him mind out.... but at least he got lack-there-of-pants hug. He loved her hugs. As she continued to talk, he grabbed her hand that was out stretched to him. "I think I found a new weakness.... and its not your lack of pants." He chuckled at her slightly. "Where are your pants first? I could talk to you without them but I think it would be better with, sweetheart."

He waited for her and then spoke up, "So I met someone... and not sure if I messed up already or if I made it better.... I invited her to the Trickett Christmas bash." Torsten never brought any girl's he liked around his family. Well, Sorcha was different. He considered her family.

"Owwwwww - whaaaaat?" Sorcha winced and then glanced down at her bare legs. She arched a brow at Torsten and disregarded his comment. Sweetheart? Cue the momentary heart ping! of confusion. And then the friendly reminder that it was just Torsten, so who cared? Shrugging off what he said she twisted her arm up into his and tugged the man inside, giving a kick at the door with her heel hearing a click! to reassure her it was closed. "Probably with all my other laundry odds and ends." She stated finally, resting her head on his shoulder as she ushered him towards her plushy, cushy couch. Giving him a light shove, she detangled herself from him and made a turn to abide by his suggestion of pants, that is until he dropped a bomb.

Jaw-flop was happening. Brows rising so far up into her bangs that it might have muted her immediate look of shock. Sorcha spun around super quickly and brushed at her hair to eye Torsten before curling up like a small kitten on the ottoman nearest him. "You screwed up already?!" Sorcha gave him a swift punch in the arm and gave an annoyed shake of her head. Running a hand through her mangled hair she let out a groan and flung her hand out to her side, disregarding the pings of discomfort it was giving her because that shit didn't matter right now. Right now Torsten was messing up his potential love-life!

"You can't have! I haven't even heard of this girl yet so you can't have ruined it that quickly..." Right?! Unless he gave her money for sex. Or money for an appearance. Or said something at the wrong time in the wrong context while the poor dear was on her damn period. Oh Merlin...

Her lips pressed themselves together at his newest revelation and her head tipped from side to side considering what he had done. "I mean... it's not a bad thing?" Convincing? Sorcha shrugged half-heartedly and fought back the bout of laughter that threatened to escaped from her lungs. Ohhhh man, this was too good. Torsten's family and this poor, mysterious girl... Sorcha bit down on the inside of her cheek. "Better get her a little tipsy first, that's probably your safest bet." Nod, nod. Wiser words were never spoken! She pulled a knee up to her chest and forced a reassuring smile.

"That just means you can't leave her alone." She had her hand held up and began ticking off outstretched fingers, "You can't let any cousins scare her," tick, "You can't let that one uncle touch her," tick, "and you're going to have to decide a label because with Sindri and Dash going splitsville and you showing up all coupled," Her eyes were on Torsten, hard, "You're gonna be a target. For couple talk. And marriage. And kids." Big families die hard in the world of dating. Could be good, could be bad. Could be really bad. Especially for a first go at something. Combined with the natural oozing sarcasm and ... everything else. Sorcha's eyes went wide and she couldn't help herself; she busted out in light laughter. "I have to see this! - Ugh!" Karma had her landing on her back on the floor, still laughing though.

"Its not my fault.... I am horrible with girls. You know this! I can sit and look pretty but when it comes to talking I fail!" He face palmed himself. He had no clue how to talk to girls. The only reason why it was so easy with Sorcha was because she was his clone. He couldn't mess up around her, and if he did she would not let him live it down. They were best friends. No matter what! When she said he couldn't have ruined it that quickly he gave her a look of 'you have no clue.' She would know the look. This woman knew all of his looks. He was still giving the look when she mentioned it wasn't a bad thing. "I am not going to get a girl tipsy around the family, that would be even worse!" He chuckled. And she was always right. As she went down the list of things to avoid, he kept a mental image in his mind of everything that could go wrong. Each thing she said he had a feeling of doom. He did not want to mess up anything because of his family. Sorcha was used to his family, many people were not. They were extremely large, loud, and fun... but there was a few bad apples that just want to ruin any chances of anything.... mainly family members that wanted more babies around. Torsten did not mind having a family but the reason why he never brings girls around because that is what happens each time. More pressure for babies. More pressure for marriages. Questions about relationships or lack there of. It was just so much.

When she said she had to see it and laughing, he glared at her. "Oh you are so going to see it. She wants to meet you.... yes, I talked to her about you." Not typically a comment for a girl you like, oh here's my best friend... she is slightly eccentric and fricking awesome. but that was how he rolled. If Sorcha did not approve then he would instantly find another girl. Which, Sorcha normally never approved. Many of them were models or girls who had no soul, but she could tell the good ones from the bad ones and she was always right about everything.

"I have no clue what do to do if it fails. I think I just should avoid girls and be around you.... well you are girl- you know what I mean." He chuckled gently and awkwardly at her. She hopefully knew what he meant. He really could not talk about around girls and when he realizes Sorcha is a girl he can't talk around her either. "I think I need a drink. What do you have?" He raised an eyebrow at her. Sorcha usually had something around her place.

Unf!

Laughter. Toes wriggled themselves around as a flurry of insanity and Christmas whirled around in Sorcha's mind. So many interesting scenarios and in every one a mystery girl whose poor being was about to be tossed into a piranha pit of Tricketts! Sorcha continued to laugh and then she stopped. Her legs flopped down to the ground and she gave a long groan, "Ughhhhhhhhhh, Torsteeeeen!"

Sorcha smacked her arms against her carpet and had what appeared to be a mini-child-like tantrum against her carpeted floors. Heels kicked themselves into the fabric and fingers stretched their way across her face. "Terrible move!" She said, though it was muffled from her cage-like fingers pressed against her lips. "No girl wants to hear about a bloody gal pal!" Her slender fingers wrapped themselves around her block styled bangs and gave them a tug. She bent her bare knees upwards and let out a calmer sigh before letting her arms fall slowly out to her sides. Brown eyes focused unblinkingly on the ceiling above and she gave another round of disapproving shakes of her head before a small smile started to form. "Idiot." She said out of love before turning full attention back onto Tor as he opened his heart just that little bit more.

Cute! But... boys. Cue the mental eye-roll and Sorcha - wait, what? Her head turned to face the man-boy. Her brows started to furrow together and her immediate look of confusion turned to one of a cheeky smile and the reassuring evidence of the gap between her front teeth. "Well, yeah. I have tits somewhere and last I checked a vagina." Aaaaaand no filter time for Sorcha Coghlan. It was obvious how comfortable Sorcha was around Torsten thanks to the time they've spent together on and off the Pitch. But she really ought to think before speaking. Especially when the poor guy noticeably holed back up in his turtle shell a little ways for no reason at all.

The brunette rolled her eyes and clamored her way up and onto her feet. She gave a small series of kitten stretches and wiggled her way past Torsten to give him a lovely hard grasp around his bicep to direct him towards her kitchen. "I mean you can double check me on the girl stuff if you need, but..." Sorcha's attention was on the third cabinet from the left as she swung the door open to reveal her stash. Her fingertips danced against one another on hyper-drive and she gave a small shrug, "I think you're fine around girls. I don't know why you get all second-guessy type of thing anyways." Sorcha shot a look to Torsten that was very natural and reassuring in her own Sorcha-manner.

The right side of her lips tugged upwards and she focused back on the contents in the cabinet. Ahhhh! This would do just perfect. A bottle of firewhiskey was slid in front of Torsten and Sorcha kicked open her fridge to pull out two bottles of hard apple ciders freshly brewed from the muggle brewery in the outskirts of the city that she found by accident. "I mean think about it this way. Girls are way more scared of you than you are of them. Why?" She arched her brow and gave a bop of her very nearly bare bottom against the fridge to get it to close, eyes locked on Mr. Trickett. "Because you're somebody. You're famous. And attractive. And you have a track record of conquests, or... well, publicity-dubbed conquests." Half those hussies didn't make it to the point of Torsten inspecting them for girly parts, thank Merlin. Sorcha could only imagine what kind of foreign ingredients were up in those twaffles.

Grabbing two tumbler glasses out of her sink Sorcha set one in front of each of them. She unscrewed the firewhiskey bottle and slammed the edges of the hard cider bottles down against her counter to get rid of their non-screw caps. Filling the glasses like it was no big deal, Sorcha's eyes widened as her train of thought was still on explaining to Torsten that he really had nothing to worry about as far as a first impression goes. "What I'm saying is that you're intimidating on first glance. Then you show you, and that's when people learn how normal and awesome and great you are to talk to..." How easy he is to be around, how comfortable he made scenarios, how very him he was. This girl was in for a treat! So long as she didn't fuck it up.

Dropping two firewhiskey filled shot glasses into the cider filled tumblers, Sorcha gave Torsten a happy smile and arched a brow in one of her known tells that she was about to revert back to sarcasm-dripping-Sorcha-mode. "Please tell me that you told her I decked you in the face though. I think that might have made our relationship clearer to her." Sorcha waggled her brow and held her glass out, "Cheers, lover boy. May we watch you blossom in the wintery season of romance whilst I drown my solo self in glasses of cinnamon and fire!" Clang!

"I did not know that! Oh-- come on, you know me and girls." Torsten really had no serious girlfriends, well maybe one in Hogwarts. Sorcha was the only girl who was around him constantly. They even had their moments, like drinking and being alone. This was before they became friends. Nobody would know about it though. Torsten had a little crush on her back before he met her during quidditch. After that they realized how much they were alike. They were clones... she was his sista from another mista. As she called him idiot, he just wanted to go over and tickle her for payback. She was such a brat. She was his best friend brat though, she had the right to call him anything she wanted to call him. Everything she said was just blunt and honest. He needed that in his life. He had so many people telling him things that weren't true and Sorcha was that truth in his life.

As she commented on her female parts, he couldn't help to laugh completely loud. Torsten followed the girl into the kitchen as she mentioned double checking on the girl stuff, he smirked. "I don't think I need to check that, sweetheart. We all know you are a girl, I usually just think of you as one of the guys." Its not like Torsten has not checked out Sorcha before, just he was not going to tell her that. It was best to keep all of that a secret. She was girl anyways. What guy does not check out their chick friends?

Sorcha spoke and moved the fire whiskey in front of him. He never thought that is why he was bad with girls.... did he imitate them? He did no mean too. The sweet things from her mouth sort of scared him, "Calm down missy-- might make my head a little bigger than it needs to be." He chuckled gently at her nudging his best friend. She continued a little more about how awesome he was and great. Aww- this is why she was his best friend. She was awesome and always made him feel good about a tricky situation. It was hard when they were against each other during quidditch games. He hated playing against her only because she knew most of his weaknesses and hers. Though they usually treated each other fairly on the pitch. Torsten would usually buy drinks if he won. He took one of the tumblers and took a shot of the whiskey. Sorcha mentioned being punched the face, he chuckled. "Oh you know you love me... can't deny it." He chuckled taking the shot. It burnt on the way down, it felt nice.

He wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug, speaking as he hugged her. "Thanks for being an awesome buddy." He let go and filled the shot glasses himself for the two of them once more.

Clenching her teeth together, Sorcha rather enjoyed the slow burn followed by the sweetness of the apple after as she took a lovely swig from her tumbler glass. Good combination. Like apple-picking! Sorcha let out a single laugh and gave a shrug of her shoulders, "Would never deny it!" She tacked on in all her sarcastic glory. Refocusing her eyes on Torsten -- whoa, wait, whaaaaat!

BEAR HUG! Sorcha felt her arms go stiff at her sides and she stood stark still for a moment as she registered that somehow Torsten was quiet enough to make it into her bubble... again. Sly dog. Sorcha smiled all the same and gave a dramatic sigh. "Oh the things I would do for you." To - no, for was right. For was correct... even though to was an honest claim as well. Right now for. Yes. Sorcha allowed her elbows to bend and squeeze the man back in her own hug and watched as he start bartendering.

AND that was why she adored him! None of this bologna of her having to be the person to cater to the people in her place. Does she look like Susie Homemaker? Does it look like Sorcha wants to take care of you and wait on you hand a foot like a good little host? Hell no. So the fact that Torsten was able and willing to refill her glass proved wonders for their friendship. Comfy! Sorcha grinned wildly and made her way closer to the counter. She folded her arms over one another and leaned against the faux marble top.

"So... serious question." Sorcha arched her brow and put her serious-game-face on. "This girl... when you look at her, are you picturing yourself having sex with her?" Sorcha didn't smile. Didn't laugh. This was real. Well, she was trying not to smile and trying not to laugh. It was a question from a Muggle television show she had watched with her brother recently. But how perfect of timing it was to put it to use! Sorcha tipped her head just slightly to one side, "Hmm?"

The brunette reached across for her next shot and scooped up her apple tumbler as well. Just in case Torsten got any ideas as far as sending liquids airborne and in her general direction. Lines weren't crossed by any means, but if he took up the whole act before thinking thing like Sorcha was accustomed to doing herself, well a glass filled with liquid would be a mighty nice thing to put to use in target practice!
