Sebastian de Vos couldn't sleep.

He'd been up since five o'clock that morning, which really was incredibly rare for the twenty two year old. He generally woke up around six forty, which really gave him enough time to shower and do his hair before he went to work at the restaurant in West London, but for some reason, there was something in the back of his mind keeping him up. Maybe it was the argument that he'd gotten in with Madeleine when she'd come to drop Christophe off the last time, or the fact that he was still incredibly aware how much he would give to still be with her to this day. It was either one of those, or possibly the fact that there was a ginger in his bed, and he had slept with her the previous night.

And it wasn't just any ginger, either. Genevieve Lemieux had been a good friend of Sebastian's for... years. Longer than any of his current friends. She was still in school when they'd met, which was almost four years ago, if he was remembering correctly. She was one of the few that had met Christophe and there were a few times he'd felt like telling her about Maddie - but he'd stopped when he'd remembered how annoyed he was when other people talked about their own relationships. Really, he didn't want to be that guy. But she was the one that knew the most about him, out of all the people he'd known.

Sebastian had been awake for a few hours before he'd decided to cook Gen and himself breakfast - which wasn't something that he cooked often. Although the restaurant he worked at opened at seven in the morning, none of the customers seemed to want stereotypical breakfast food, and if they did, it was just a side of scrambled eggs and toast to go with their coffee. Today, he was making omelets, with fresh eggs and cheese and a side of toast. Sebastian had started to make bacon before he'd remembered that Gen was a vegetarian, which wasn't really something that he found as a good quality in a person. A person that didn't eat meat was a person that couldn't be trusted, Sebastian's dad used to say. But he supposed the fact that she didn't eat meat didn't make her a bad person.

The dark haired man was careful not to burn himself as he lifted the hot pan off of his stovetop, moving it over the two plates he'd sat out before gently ushering his creations onto them. Cooking shirtless probably wasn't the best idea, that much was known to him from the previous burns he'd gotten on his stomach (which, thankfully, were healed and left no scar), but Sebastian couldn't have cared less. All he really cared about now, was that his omelet tasted as it was supposed to. He grabbed two forks and placed them carefully on the plates before slowly making his way into his own bedroom. "Genevieve? I hope you're awake." He called out in French. "I made us breakfast."
arrogant boy, cause a scene like you're supposed to.

they'll fall asleep without you, you're lucky if your memory remains.

Genevieve Lemieux had went over to her best friends house to 'hang out,' as he called it, but they ended up drinking. She drank quite a bit in fact. Not that anything would change if she had been more sober. But one thing led to another and she quickly found herself kissing and hugging Sebastian de Vos. Kissing and hugging were okay but she hadn't been with a man since...well it had been quite a few years since she had slept with anyone. Although she was glad it was Seb. She, honestly, could say that he was one of the few people she cared for. He had been her friend for years and the fact that they ended up in his bed, it wasn't all bad. She just hoped she didn't do something she, or he would regret later.

Sebastian had been her friend and had been there for her when no one else had been. She had met his child, which she had no idea he had up until that point, she had shared a lot with the man. He was an incredible force in her life and whether they knew it or not, Gen was falling hard and fast for the older man. He was handsome, and not someone that most people would see the sweet and innocent Gen with. But that was just the point, he was different then everyone else she had met. He was mysterious but not rude and he knew how to get Gen to do things. Try knew things and she loved that he could bring that out of her.

The smell of breakfast stirred Gen from her slumber. The wonderful smell of the eggs and cheese. She let out a small moan before rolling over. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around the room. She had almost forgot she had stayed the night with Sebastian. A small smile spread across her lips and she ran her hand across her face and into her hair.  Sebastian had been nothing but a gentleman the night before and she couldn't say that she was the least bit disappointed in what happened. In fact, she was glad it happened, she just hoped that he felt the same way. Then again it did sort of make things more complicated. What were they now, friends still, friends with benefits, something more? She had no idea nor did she want to push the matter this early into it.

His voice carried across the bedroom and into her ears. She smiled as she pushed herself into the sitting position. He was speaking French and she appreciated it. She was still learning English and most of it was still hard to understand. "I am awake...Just woke up though. The wonderful smell of breakfast woke me." She smiled and looked over at him. He still had yet to put a shirt on and Gen had fallen asleep in..well it appeared that she was wearing his shirt from last night. "It looks amazing." The first thing she noticed was that there was no meat. She had been a vegetarian for as long as she could remember. And the fact that Sebastian remembered, well, it was heart warming. The morning was just the icing on the cake. A wonderful time with a wonderful man.

A smile washed over Sebastian's face as he walked into the room, seeing his old friend awake. Really, it was odd to see her in his bed - she'd never stayed the night at his before. Seeing his shirt on her body was even weirder, but really, Sebastian wasn't complaining. If there was something he enjoyed, it was women wearing his clothes, even if he really, truly only saw them as friends. Genevieve was definitely a friend, nothing more, really.

"Oh, good," he smiled at the younger woman, his face lighting up as he continued into the room. "I was hoping you were already awake." He nodded, moving to sit on his bed in his former spot. The blankets were still moved from where he was sleeping, his pillow still indented from where his head laid a while ago. The bed had become cold, something he wasn't surprised about in the least. It sent a shiver down his spine. He was hoping the bed might get warm sometime soon - he absolutely hated the coldness of beds. They were meant to be warm. Warm and shared, as his was last night. The memories from the previous night brought a smile to his face as he handed over the second plate to the ginger girl across from him.

"I'm glad you find it appealing." He took hold of his fork, digging it into his own food while biting down slightly on his ship. "If you're hungover," He quickly took a bite of food. "I have a, uh," Sebastian spoke with food in his mouth, but made sure to swallow the eggs before he spoke again. "A potion in the bathroom that I use when I drink too much." He nodded. "If you need it, of course. I can get it after I'm done eating." He gave his friend a small smile before he looked down to his plate, his fork digging in to the mass of cheese and eggs on the dish.

Sebastian fell silent while he continued to eat his breakfast. Breakfast wasn't something he'd had often. Only on special occasions, really, and he supposed having Genevieve over for the night was sort of a special occasion. And he'd done exceptionally well, in his own opinion, although that never really mattered as a chef. It was really all about what others thought of your food. "So, uh," He paused to set his food down on his nightstand before he had even finished it, clearing his throat. "About... last night... we should talk about that."

Gen woke up feeling refreshed. It was a little odd to wake up in Sebastian's bed, not that she didn't enjoy the fact that they had slept together, but it was still a different feeling. She had liked him since she was still in school. She never really had the guts to tell him so but it appeared that maybe she wouldn't have to now. She sat up straighter and tugged down at the shirt that covered her body. She smiled weakly at the man that had brought her breakfast. She hoped that things wouldn't get weird now, she liked Seb and she didn't want things to change. They were really close and she didn't want that to change.

He smiled at her and his face lit up. It made her whole morning even better, the way his face lit up, the way he looked at her. It was all so surreal and she was loving every second of it. They were best friends and now they had shared something else together. She loved that he had shared it with her, she had wanted something more with Sebastian for several years now and she felt that she had it now. He was a such a sweet man and the fact that he had made her a meatless breakfast was just proving the same truth. He cared about her and that meant so much to her. She took the plate from him and smiled. "I am, it is thanks to your wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen. And this looks wonderful Seb." She smiled and leaned over kissing his cheek.

"I do, very much so. It's really good, Sebastian, thank you." Then he spoke of her being hung over, her stomach did feel a little upset. Her head was pounding and she did hurt. She was hungover, she had never been hung over before, course she had never drank nearly as much as she did last night. She took another bite of the food in front of her and bites down on her lip. "I am a little queasy." She took another bite and set the plate down on her lap. He was gorgeous he looked so good and she couldn't believe what had happened the night before.

Then her heart sank, he wanted to talk about what had happened the night before. It was never good when they 'wanted to talk.' She nodded slowly and set her plate aside. "Alright, I knew something was going to come up. Let's talk." She scooted slightly closer to him and looked down at her hands.
