"Stupefy!" The sixth year let out a cheer as the weighted butterbeer bottles fell from their beam after contact with his stunning spell. The vendor passed off a roaring stuffed line which he passed off to a younger student that had watched him play the game for the past few minutes. Trevor wasn't sure why some of his friends were walking around acting as though they were too cool to be enjoying all the carnival. In his opinion, this was the best Hogsmeade weekend of the year thus far! You could only visit the same few shops for drinks and sweets so many times; not that he wouldn't be back the following week, but Minko the Magnificent's presence in Hogsmeade was certainly a change of scenery and break from the stress of classes that he was able to appreciate.
The atmosphere only made it more enjoyable. Some people who may have skipped out on visiting the familiar village decided not to skip out on the night's festivities, and they were joined by first and second years who would have normally been back at the castle. All the lights and sounds filling the air had Hogsmeade feeling like a completely different place. Trevor walked through the crowd with a couple of friends, scoping out their options for their next attraction. He didn't personally have much interest in any sort of show, so he had spent the day on carnival rides and various games, not to mention indulging in embarrassing amounts of sweets and carnival foods, fairly certain he had not eaten a single morsel of nutritional value the entire day.
His interest was finally piqued when he spotted Minko's Marvelously Mystifying Mirror Maze; the was a longer line outside the worn, red paneled structure. After seeing multiple students exit on the other side only to rejoin the line, Trevor was convinced and took a spot, attempting to wait patiently as he tried to figure out what exactly was inside.
Once he reached the front, he realized what had been taking so long; the employee was only allowing in one person every couple of minutes. This confused and excited the Gryffindor even more, and had him more than ready for his turn. The man sitting outside tapped his pegleg on the ground and gave him a nod, signaling that it was his turn. Trev pushed the dull violet curtains out of the entrance and opened another door, only to walk into a sea of people occupying a bright, white room.
Trevor stood still for a moment, looking around at everyone. What in the world. He heard several voices around him, though none of them seemed to be in conversation with the other. Taking a few steps in and looking around, he spotted his friend who had entered before him. His stride picked up, quickly walking toward the familiar figure. He was just about to throw an arm over his shoulder when his hand crashed into what felt like a wall. His hand recoiled, as he rubbed his knuckle and looked on at his friend, who seemed very confused. He reached out again, this time prepared for his fingers to be stopped just short of what seemed to be their destination. Trevor looked around, and immediately realized that all of the others seemed to be lost. His eyebrow furrowed as he traced along the surface he had found, when it finally hit him.
"Two way mirrors," he whispered as though there were someone behind him who shouldn't hear his revelation. He was standing in a maze made of walls of two way mirrors. This was awesome! The charms were top notch, Trevor could hardly tell if he was staring at a reflection, or someone within his actual vicinity. "So cool!" The sixth year continued about the maze, alternating between running into reflections as well as actual students.
[Hopefully I explained it alright, but it is basically a mirror house made of two way mirrors which leaves room for people running into each other, seeing each other, etc. Open to anyone!]
