Alice wasn't able to sleep much, but it didn't bother her considering she was curled up in the arms of her boyfriend. She was comfortable, safe, happy, and content. Sleep was not going to happen no matter if she wished it right now. She was feeling him breath and shift. Her mind wouldn't shut off about happy thoughts. Everything was just perfect as a daisy for the young woman.
The first time she stayed over in the fall, she remembered that she scared him half to death, waking up in the middle of the night screaming from a nightmare. Nothing unfamiliar to her, but very new to him. It was one of those things that she didn't think about at the time. The whole sleeping in the same bed thing was new to her and it just sort of happened and she wasn't exactly prepared to explain herself right then and there at two in the morning. The occasional nightmares of the battle, the occasional jolt awake from a memory-like dream of what negativity roamed. He was so sweet and so kind. She even remembered when he gently balled her up in sheets until she told him what was on her mind. Comfortably comfortable. He was just amazing, and Alice could of never have wanted anything differently. She could almost tell him everything. Almost.
She watched the light from the window slowly get brighter before she made up her mind that she wouldn't be getting any sleep. They'd been together for over a year. The thought was something else entirely. She never had a relationship last so long. The witch wiggled herself free from Max's grasp, making sure he wouldn't wake up, she grabbed her robe and put on her little slippers and made the really slow walk toward the kitchen.
Putting on the kettle, she quickly went to work, grabbing her wand from her purse that sat on the dining chair. Whispering her indications as she flicked her wand in a variety of ways, pulling and pushing ingredients and utensils to and fro as needed and required to make the best breakfast she could make. It took a little while, she wanted to make everything with perfection, and she watched the clock and listened for any stirring. Cinnamon french toast, scrambled eggs with a dash of cheddar cheese, banana nut muffins, tea, and she looked for orange juice, but the witch was out of luck this time. Pulling plates and cups, she delicately placed the setup on his kitchen table.
The former hufflepuff smiled wide, stepping back to look at the finishing touches of her breakfast before bouncing off back into the bedroom. Still fast asleep. She silently chuckled to herself. The witch crawled onto the bed to gently sit on his legs, curling up on top of him, "Maaaaaaaaax," she whispered softly up to him, listening to his heartbeat, "wake up." She giggled before bouncing a little, "I have a surprise for you." She paused for a moment, waiting for a stir. Was he intentionally pretending to sleep or was he a rock this morning? "Maddox Flynn Stanton." She wiggled up, placing a kiss on his collarbone before placing one on his lips, her hair falling around his head. Alice's blue eyes watched the man intently, "you'll miss the surprise," she teased. More like it'd get cold.
