So I am wondering if A person is born in one country yet they moved to another when they are really young before the school years start. Would they go to the school of there birth or to the one of there new residence. What happens if they move during school years? I am thinking of doing a charcter with dual nationality that migrated and one time to a whole new country system. So I was wondering about her school years.

They would go to the school they reside in and, from what I'm aware of, it's possible. You have to make a good background story as to why the family moved, though, especially if it was moving from one school area to another. And as far as having different nationalities, I think it depends on where/when they moved since the European Union started in 1993.

Basically my idea was something like my character was born in japan but her dad is British and her mom Japanese or it could be reversed and they moved back to Britian due to a job transfer when she was young, or maybe her mom died and her dad moved back to his family in Britian, I haven't worked out the details yet and probably won't be for a while this is just an idea running around in the back of my head or I might use it for my recluse writer, who knows really.

As Aisling said, as long as you have a good background story and explain it well, then that is fine. :)
