Your name will then be automatically added to the leaderboard! If you try to access this link from one of your sub-accounts, you will get an error message. After registering, you will be able to claim any thread for your main character as well as any other characters you have linked to your main account. See this announcement for details about account linking. If you create new characters, you do not have to do anything special for the FPP. Whenever a new account is linked to your main account, the FPP system will detect it automatically. The name that will appear for you in the FPP leaderboard comes directly from the "Real Name" field of your main account's profile. Clicking this button will take you to a form where you can claim the thread for the FPP. Within the form, you can specify if the claim is a plot thread or one that has been completed. If either of these options are selected, your claim will be passed on to the admins for review in order to confirm the point bonuses due to you. Otherwise, your claim will be automatically added to your running total. Please be aware that the system logs all claims. Admins will be able to see if you are attempting to cheat the system, so please don't try to claim class signup posts or other threads of that nature. Abuse of this system can result in removal from the FPP. That said, if you happen to claim a thread by mistake, please contact an admin. We are able to alter your FPP point totals manually to keep things in order.[/td]

So the new system looks awesome! However I had question.


Will this only be open to brand new threads? I ask because I have a thread that will be ending that has posts of mine that are from the last month, but I don't see the button? The thread did start in Feb so I now the posts that old wouldn't count, but I wasn't sure if that meant all wouldn't.

So long as the last message in a thread by any participant is on or after 1 July (with a little leeway because timezones suck) then you should get your button once that has happened.  All posts in that thread will accrue points.

Yes please. Once you've got an approved claim you can't change it.

In general, if anyone thinks they should be seeing a button but aren't, please feel free to check with me by providing a link to the thread and the name of the character they posted in there. Don't be afraid to ask!
