[Solved] Sorting question
« on: July 08, 2015, 03:34:39 AM »
How does one sort a rogue elemental who never went to any of the schools and technically isn't in any of their jurisdiction?

Hogwarts? Or Durmstrang, since that area would be best for rogue elementals?

Asking... "For a friend" it is for me. I am asking for me. I am my own friend. That seems super deep to my sleep addled brain >>

hm well i know the adults from wanamangura are put in hogwarts sorting, and aias is british so i'm tempted to say hogwarts.
but his primary residence is in macedonia and his dad was a klyk, so durmstrang could work too. honestly, he can go wherever you want him to, i'd say. they all say "____ adults and others", and technically he's an 'other' so they all work in my opinion, but you can wait for someone with a clearer answer to reply.

I mean, yeah he's weird.

He's technically a Turkish Brit (Turkish by ethnicity, British from being mostly raised there >>) who lives in Macedonia because being home is too close to the council, but also has residences elsewhere (well, "residences" >>)

Whoops? >>

ahahaha maybe he should get his own category. "gryffindor students, ravenclaw students, hufflepuff students, slytherin students, hogwarts adults and others, aias"

but if you can't decide or don't have a preference, i think i'm leaning towards durm (lol because i said hogwarts the first time). personally, based on his name, i think i'd most likely go looking for him in the durm adults section rather than the hogwarts section.

Durm was my leaning as well.

He's not done yet, but the only thing I have to *really* do is History and then expand things if I want to do that pre-sorting soooooo I figured it was a good time to ask.

I'd base it on where he has grown up in that case, I think. Homeschooled adults are sorted into the relevant area and that's pretty much the same thing IMO. I agree Durm works :)

http://www.magical-hogwarts.org/rpg/index.php?board=77.0 the hogs sorting board description gives a hint? Though maybe we should have a separate forum altogether for non-played schools and "homeschooled" peeps? But that maybe a discussion that should be had in admin. xD
