When we submit EFB's, do we still submit them in the EFB Board or do we just put them in our profile?

EFBs and sheets being together is the best idea ever.

could people with really enormous histories just have an overflow bit in their sandboxes and a 'read more' link in their profile? I only have one character who I think it will apply to, which is Dieter, although to be honest I am really tempted to just trash his history and rewrite it shorter anyway.

Yes, you submit them in the EFB board. The family background section in the new profile page is really so you can expand upon your character's family if you want to. Or just to keep a copy of the EFBs there.

One other note - there are fields for Parents and Siblings, but not Spouses or Children.

@Damien Conway I suppose you could simply add it to the beginning of the history Header section.

I popped it into the siblings section on corv's profile.

Yeah I've been slipping it in where I can I just wanted to make sure someone knew, that it wasn't an oversight or anything. Thanks guys!!

But real talk though, I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the whole revamp.

I like the changes to the layout of the sheets, but I think it looks kind of smushed together and just kind of disjointed in the profile section (although that could just be my laptop). I also think it kind of stinks to loose the personalization aspect of the sheets with colors and fun headers. I'm someone who really focuses on colors and I associate that with the personality of characters so I always think that's fun to see. And I know it might be a hassle to read the very long sheets, but I don't think it's fair to force members to limit how in depth they can go with their sheet so that it fits in the profile. Personally, I really like how the sheets are organized now, in the school boards and then by house/adult sections. I think it's easier and more organized that way to find and read sheets and members aren't limited to a word count because they can have more than one post.

In that regard, wouldn't it be more fair to keep the sheets as their own topics, as they are now, so people can personalize and write how much they want to, but they can have the option to put an abbreviated version, if needed, in the profile? Obviously I don't know the reasoning behind this change, but I think it's a little nonsenical to make members possibly have to re do their sheets to fit this new system.

I know it says in the first post it doesn't limit from writing as much as you want, but then fee said how there's a word limit, so I very well could just be missing something here. Technology is hard.

I'm mobile so I really cant respond to this as concisely as I possibly can. I would like to address some points however.

-You can still put colours and headers in your sheets. The only parts that you cant put colours and headers in are the words that say name or age. So I dont see how the personalization aspect is lost. BB code is still available. Please fill me in.

-The only reason that the sheets are word limited at the moment is because there is some recoding that needs to be done, but as it took fee over 2 months to code this update plus the new layout and design all the new tags for members, it's going to take her a little while to make it so its unlimited characters. This is a new thing for everyone, so just like there are kinks for you, there are kinks for us. If we could all be patient, things could get solved in due time.and members are already finding ways to get around the word count issue, so...

And clicking on a chars name and seeing their sheet versus searching for their sheets is a mite easier for me, but the sheets havent been erased, so that option is still available to you if you so choose.

If everyone can be patient, try out the new system, come back with issues that they are experiencing with the new things in a constructive way, then changes can be made to make it easier for everyone. But if we're going to bash new things just cause they are new will end up with us in the same state where we looked like 2008 for 7 years. The admin team with an emphasis on the only admin who codes all of this work really hard on bringing new stuff to MH.

We just really want to bring mh up to date. There are sites that are booming and we have been stuck behind. If this is the way changes are going to be addresed, then what's the point of us working hard to do stuff? Most of us have full time jobs, and go to school. We dont have to do this.  So when we do, just bring up your complaints in a way that helps and doesn't bash.

Hey, @Julia König, just have a look at @Yelena Romanova and @Lorin Odell and some of the other filled in sheets. Like Toya said, they still have their headers, colours etc. For now Dylan has gotten around the word limit by putting sections of his history into the headers sections and other sections.
