[eldrich] time to shine [alioth]

It was a cold, miserable afternoon in Moscow. Rain drizzled slowly down the canvas of the tents, the grey clouds reflected in the puddles of water that collected on the ground. Not many visitors would be at the circus today, they would all be tucked up at home in the warm. Julietta, on the other hand, had work to do. Wrapping up warm in a coat, hat and scarf, she climbed out of her little blue caravan, checking that both Sophie and Julien were safe inside before shutting the door behind her. Slipping and sliding in the mud, the Parisian made her way down the well trodden path to the big top. As she reached it she could see a few visitors entering for the next show, but after peeking through the flap she clarified that there weren't many. Those who were brave enough to face the cold were sitting huddled up in their seats, wearing coats and hats and scarves and waiting in anticipation for the show to begin.

Jules made her way around to the back of the tent, where the performers were readying themselves for the performance under a large cream awning that had been put up to keep them dry. Over the quiet murmur of talk, whinnying of thestrals and noises of other animals, Julie could hear the call for the first performer to enter the tent. A second later the canvas flap pulled back and Alioth Rasalas, the ringmaster of the circus as well as a hypnotist, strode out of the striped tent, allowing the first performer to enter the tent before shutting the flap to keep out any noise for the performers.

Juliet began to weave her way slowly through the crowd of performers, smiling and engaging in polite conversation before moving on swiftly, heading in the direction of the ringmaster. Since joining Eldrich in January she hadn't been that sociable, and had just made acquaintances with the troupe rather than friends, bar a select few. The former Bellefeuille had never been very sociable and even though she was now an adult that hadn't changed. Finally she reached where the ringmaster was standing, only to watch him disappear back inside the tent and the performer exit again. So long as they weren't performing again in this show, they could go back to their caravan now, and Julietta watched them slowly trudge back to where the caravans were set up, on the other side of the camp. Inside the big top, the small audience was cheering as the ringmaster riled them up in preparation for the next performance. The second performer went in as Alioth came out again, and the backstage worker quickly darted over to him.

"Hello, sir, is there anything you'd like me to do?" She asked, looking up at the man expectantly.
