[Solved] Blood Status - muggleborn or hafblood?

If a squib married a muggle and then had a magical child, what would the blood status of the child be? Would it be a muggleborn or halfblood?

totally not thinking about a new character nope

I'm not an admin, but I'd say halfblood because technically a squib is pureblood.

Well, Olivia's blood is confusing. Her mother is a halfblood squib and married a muggle- had Olivia with magical blood. For a while I had quarter magical, but now I just consider her a muggleborn.


I would say in your case it would be halfblood, but I'm not an admin either

I thought it might be halfblood, but it says in the blood status guide that if the grandparent was a squib the character would be a muggleborn, so I was wondering if it would be the same in this case?

Hello!

As Hanhan and Dylan said, the child would be considered half-blood. I don't think there's such thing as a true muggleborn as there must be squibs in the family tree somewhere. If they couldn't perform magic, they would be Muggle. Hope that helps! :]
