For the evening, Rosaline was a seductive siren-- or a mermaid, if you will. She had enlisted the help of one of her most trusted dressmakers in order to produce the perfect costume for Oogie's party. After all, she did want to look her very best. The
bodice was expertly fashioned to look as if it blended in with her skin and also gave the illusion of scales. Long strings of pearls hung from her neck, and a bit of netting was tied around her hips and over her green, scaly mermaid skirt. Starfish-inspired
pumps adorned her feet, and her makeup was done in such a way that it appeared that she also had a bit of scales on her face. The Banes had some business dealings with the Bone Man, and Rose found him to be an
interesting individual to say the least. She had passed on the Star Euphoria, as she had already indulged in a bit of potion before she had left. Now she was standing off to the side with a glass in her hand, quietly observing.
That is, she was until she was interrupted. Someone had been bold enough to not only approach her, but to
touch her as well. Turning her head quickly, she saw the person attached to the fingers tickling at her neck.
Oh boy. She was going to need more alcohol.
"Oh! Hello, Clayton." Feigning a smile, Rosaline took a step back, but in a way that would not indicate her discomfort. "Thank you." He was definitely drunk. Not that she had much room to talk, as she was well on her way. However, she did like to think that she handled her liquor a sight better than Mr. Holmwood, here. And at least she had enough taste to not come dressed as a damned Yankee.
Wait. Dance? Well, she had come alone. Thus, she had had nobody to dance with as of yet. Nobody had asked her, though she was used to that from people who didn't know her well. She, to be frank,
looked like a bitch. And she could be. Tonight, however, she had decided that she was going to have fun. What harm could a dance do? If he was bad at it, or if he said anything that she didn't like, she could always just turn and walk away. He wouldn't dare make a scene here. He could not be that stupid.
So, she offered him a small smile and a shrug. "Yes. Why not?"
