Waiting for her was something he had never minded. She was entirely too perfect to rush and honestly Memphis could watch her flutter about for hours if she let him. She was especially cute when she was flustered and in a rush, it was like breaking through the icy precision he was used to seeing her as. "Take your time." He said casually as he leaned against the counter, remembering fondly what happened the last time he was in her apartment. A smirk crept along his face but it was quickly squashed by an all out stare as she came down the stairs. She never failed to impress and today was no different. She was gorgeous, every part of her was, and he was constantly being reminded of that. He chuckled at the idea of her changing just because she couldn't find the matching shoe, the struggles of a fashionable witch escaping him even as he did. "Nope." He said quickly before pulling her closer to him as her hands found a place on his chest, as close to his heart as anyone had ever been.
"You will have to wait and see." He said smugly, thoroughly excited about taking her to Inverness this evening. It wasn't a normal date but they weren't normal people, and he was eager to finally be able to share this with someone as exceptional as her. When she dropped the friends and family question a little alarm went off in the normally flighty Elementals mind. It was way easier to run than it was to stick around but everything was different with her. Even though the idea of meeting her family and them disapproving weighed most heavily in his mind he couldn't help but want to say yes, anything for her.
"Would that make you happy?" He asked, not afraid to at least let the idea in. If meeting her family made her happy, he would do it in a heart beat. He appreciated the ease of how she had brought it up though. Allowing him time to think about it before giving her an answer, everything was easier with her, no pressure to impress, and it was more than refreshing. All his life he had been made to feel like he wasn't good enough, not smart enough, halfblooded, not good at wandwork, not wealthy, but none of those things mattered to her.
When she asked if she was over dressed every serious thought he had crowding the space in his head was quickly flushed away by a devilish smirk that spread ear to ear. "You look exquisite." He said, pulling her even closer and moving to whisper in her ear. His voice dropped low as he spoke, one hand trailed down her spine lightly. "But if you wanted to take off your clothes I wouldn't mind that either." He placed a kiss low on her cheek on soft sensitive skin, where her chin and neck and ear all met, before pulling away a little.
