It was absolutely dreary outside today. The skies were gray and gloomy and blustery. The wind was blowing the rain sideways and when Lulu had apparated to the front steps of her boss's mansion, her hair was ruined in only a matter of seconds. She had pushed the door open quickly, but needless to say, the half hour she had spent just on her hair had been wasted. She tried to get it back to presentable, but by then her mood was already ruined too. It didn't help that her work load today kept her running from one side of the mansion to the other. She was stuck hurrying between coordinating Sterling's appointments for today and also trying to plan an upcoming trip he had within the next week.
And if all of that wasn't bad enough, when a certain pureblood witch arrived for a meeting with Sterling, she treated Lulu no better than a house elf. She had barely said hello after glancing down her nose at her, dropped her coat and bag onto Lulu's arm for her to hang without even a please or thank you, and then ordered her to get her a beverage before turning on her heel and plastering on a completely fake smile to greet Sterling with. Lulu tried to hold onto the courtesy she knew she should show Sterling's guest, but as soon as her back was turned, she scowled and was tempted to dump the witch's belongings on the floor. Not that she would actually do that though. With care, she neatly hung her coat and placed the bag on the sidetable before asking the kitchen staff to send in some beverages.
Lulu busied herself with more of the arrangements for the upcoming trip and before long, she heard voices closer to the door of Sterling's office. Realizing they were finishing up, Lulu stood to retrieve the woman's coat which brought her closer to Sterling's office door. The other witch emerged on her own, calling a pretty goodbye to Sterling, and then turned around. Her expression was charming and pretty one second and in the next, Lulu was so surprised to see such a change that quickly to imperious and disinterested. It was like the woman didn't even care that Lulu was there or had noticed. She just waved her over with an impatient flick of her hand. Lulu handed her the coat, but the witch just stood there still, sending Lulu an impatient look after a moment. That's when Lulu realized the witch wanted her to help her into her jacket. "Oh," she murmured before scooting around behind her and helping the woman into her coat, again without even a thanks. Sasha appeared a moment later to walk her to the down and Lulu sighed with a shake of her head. That woman was a piece of work.
Turning on her heel, she grabbed another tray the kitchen staff had dropped off for her at her request. It was just before lunch time and Lulu brought in the tray like usual with Sterling's favorite lunch on it. "Hi, here's your lunch," she told him as she set the tray on the table as opposed to his desk as he had previously instructed was his preference. "I think she was your last appointment for today," Lulu started, biting her lip as she hovered near the table, glancing at him curiously. She wanted to know who that woman was and why she had come for a meeting, but when he had told her of the appointment, he had only given her her name. She ventured a guess in attempts to extract some information from him. "Was she from the Ministry? Did you need me to send a follow up letter?"
