Ségolène didn't know why she was doing what she was doing. However, the Beauxbatons librarian wanted to travel a little before the start of term and she was travelling alone. It had not taken her a long time to figure out where she wanted to go - after hearing about what had happened at Hogwarts and having had a vision of a little girl saving her sister in the fire, it had been an easy enough choice to go to Britain. However, Ségolène had decided against visiting Hogsmeade and trying to get into Hogwarts to see the Hogwarts library and compare it to the one she was working at. No, the French witch had decided to travel to wizarding London.

She had been to London before but it had been a few years ago and so the former Bellefeuille found herself feeling a little overwhelmed, even confused. She wanted to see a lot of things but she needed a plan. She taken her time to scribble down notes on a piece of parchment, had got herself a map of London with both wizarding and muggle parts of the city on it and had started sightseeing.

It had been great fun for her to visit the British Museum. The old treasures exhibited there busied her for a few well spent hours and the young woman left the museum with a smile. Oh, she could spend days after days at places like that. However, she had not planned a long trip to Britain and had to go on. As she proceeded her trip through the city, she wondered if she should go to the wizarding part of London yet or rather go on a Thames Cruise.

The heavy rain that poured down on her kept her from realising the idea of the cruise. She might come back for that later, she told herself as she hurried towards the next sight she wanted to see. Fortunately the young witch had been wise enough to wear her olive green rain coat over her pale blue wizarding robes, protecting herself from getting soaked.

When she arrived at the National Gallery water was dripping off the rainproof material of her coat, now soaking the rim of her robes and turning them into a darker shade of blue. What Ségolène most enjoyed in the National Gallery were the impressive impressionist pictures and she spent most of her stay in front of them. How amazing and absolutely admirable those paintings were was almost impossible to put into words. Again the young woman left a museum with a smile on her face.

She then apparated back to the Leaky Cauldron and pulled out a detailed map of Diagon Alley and its cross-roads. She wanted to find a certain bookstore she had heard about. As she made a few steps into Diagon Alley she lifted the map again, trying to figure out where she had to go next and kept walking as she did so. The street had not seemed particularly crowded so the young French witch had not felt the need to look exactly where she was going.
