[Solved] Old characters come back?

Please let me know if I'm posting this in the wrong place; it's been a long time since I've been here!

Hi all, I used to have two characters on here, Penny Patil and Poppy Pomfrey (though I can't find her so maybe I never actually created an account for her?). Then life got in the way; war, grad school applications, etc etc I'm sure you've all heard all of the excuses before. So here I am now, wanting to play my character(s?) again! How do I go about making my characters active again? Do I have to age them up? Specifically, I'd rather play Penny as a 7th year again, rather than age her as an adult quite yet.

Hi! I came back to MH after an absence of a couple years, so I've been where you are. If you want to continue playing Penny as a seventh year student in the upcoming term, you'll need to edit her character sheet to fit with the age you want her to be, and post here with your changes when you're done.

As for Poppy, your claim on her in the canon thread is no longer recorded, though there is still a record of your application and it being approved in the thread, and no one has applied for her in the meantime so I don't think there should be a problem. You'll need to make an account and sheet for her and submit her for sorting.

We've recently revamped the canons list but I think your claim had gotten deleted before I did the revamp. I'll add her back to the list as in-progress and will give you 6 months to submit her for Sorting (though if I remember correctly you were just about done with her sheet), which is the new protocol for an old claim being renewed. ^^

Also we changed our sheet system slightly back in January 2016 - you'll need to transfer the content of Penny's sheet into her profile (Profile > Forum Profile) and then post in the Character Changes & Retcons thread like Emily mentioned once you've done so!
Same goes for Poppy, but you'll post in Sort Me! instead since she was not previously Sorted. ^^
