Let's get lost [Ashley]

Getting off of the back of Ashley's motorcycle, a grin spread across Jane's face. It was early September in the Appalachian Mountains in America: not too hot, not too cold, and perfect for a campout. She'd been born and raised in London, but traveling with Ashley had been quite the learning experience when it came to being out in the wilderness. Most of the time, they bought a motel room, but there had been a handful of times when they'd been camping like this. Except, at first, they'd always brought more than one tent: one for her and one for him. He was relatively newly single, now, however. So, they'd been exploring a more sexual relationship along with their friendship and work relationship. She really felt like she was growing, as a person, thanks to him. He'd taught her how to fish and how to shoot a gun. He'd taught her the finer points of beast-hunting, too, and how to properly set up a campsite. She'd found that she actually liked being out in the middle of nowhere, up in the mountains, like this. It was nice. It was peaceful.

Sliding off her pack and her leather jacket, she set her items down on the grass before going to help him set up camp. For once, they didn't have anything to do except spend the weekend together. Though, knowing the two of them, a job would probably find them at some point. There always seemed to be so much to do, but she was glad for it. Any time that she got to spend with Ashley, she enjoyed. They had their differences, but she felt at home with him, even though he wasn't quite her boyfriend yet. She hoped to change that soon but figured that she could give him more time. After all, he'd been cheated on and dumped not so very long ago. It had taken her a while before she was able to see anyone again, after Darren. He was worth the wait. He was funny, and he was smart. He was thoughtful, most of the time, and great in the sack. If she could think up her perfect man, he'd blow whatever she could imagine out of the water. It wasn't like when she'd been falling for Darren. She didn't want to fall too hard too soon, still.

"So, you remembered the stuff for s'mores right? Those were good, last time we had them." Honestly, she loved America for the food. There was so much junk food to choose from, here. Burgers joints and pizza places seemed to be everywhere in this country, too, and it was glorious.

Sliding off her red flannel shirt, she tied it around her waist. A black crop top with a muggle band's logo on it lay underneath and ripped blue jeans covered her legs. She thought it seemed like very "fall" attire. It had always been her favorite season, even when she'd been in school. In the fall, she always went to Hogwarts. She and Ashley often had playful debates about which was the better school: Hogwarts or Ilvermorny. Despite the dark cloud that seemed to follow her famed housemate and friend, Harry Potter, she had enjoyed her time at Hogwarts. Ilvermorny, no matter how great Ashley talked about it being, just couldn't compare. Still, America was beautiful. She really loved the mountains.

"It's really pretty out here."
