Freya was scared of the goblins, but she still kind of liked them. As long as she didn't make any mistakes they were all pleasant enough to her. She knew Ragatha was grumpy almost all of the time with customers, for example, but the little lady goblin was very chatty about her weekends and her large goblin family whenever it was just her and Freya. She and Freya bonded over being the youngest of lots of siblings and hating potions class. Of course, Ragatha was over one hundred and twenty years old and Freya was a mere eighteen, but that was beside the point. Freya had always been good at finding common ground with others.
There was a lot of nervous chatter behind the counters of Gringotts and Freya wasn't really sure what was happening. She left the office she was supposed to be working in and headed towards the main hall of gringotts, looking for one of her superiors so she could ask them what she was supposed to be doing. As she was walking, Freya could hear the sounds of a howler screaming through the halls. She winced at the sound. Freya had received exactly two howlers in her life and both times it had supremely freaked her out, even though one of them was a prank.
As she stepped into the main hall of Gringotts, a loud alarm sounded. It screamed through the building, louder than anything else she could hear. It echoed off of the marble floors. Freya was shocked, as were most of the people around her that she could see. Freya's face broke into a relieved smile as she caught sight of a goblin she was on friendly terms with. "What's happening?!" she shouted over the siren.
"It's just an evac alarm!" The goblin yelled back, "You should exit out the main doors!" Freya raised her eyebrows; she hadn't heard of anything like this happening before. A little dazed and a little panicked, the blonde started making her way towards the front hall. She still had a quill tucked behind one ear and a clipboard in her right hand. The blonde joined the crowd exiting the building, glancing over her shoulders a few times but not really seeing anything. On the front steps of the building, Freya caught sight of someone she knew. "Jay?" she called. It was still noisy out here, but far quieter than it had been in the building.
