Last time Freya had been in Hogsmeade, she'd been talked into buying a pair of self-washing socks. She didn't know why. Despite everything she'd been through in the past few years, Freya was still quite naive in some ways. She was certainly very gullible and trusting. When someone told her she needed something, sometimes she believed them. She was an easy mark too, with her trusting smile and the way her face betrayed all of her emotions. It was like a broadcasting system - Freya felt it, then suddenly it was all over her face. Her parents had always found it very endearing. Many people found it endearing, actually, but Freya wasn't so good at separating those who were genuine most of the time - like her - and those who were just pretending to be genuine.
The blonde sighed as she pushed open the heavy door to the shop she'd been at a couple of weeks ago. She made her way to the counter, receipt and socks in hand. She hadn't needed socks at all, let alone ones that self-washed, but the blonde had been talked into it and she at least expected them to work. The girl explained the situation, but was met with a verbal brick wall. "No, you don't understand..." Freya gave an apologetic smile as she argued with the man behind the counter, "Yes but don't you see? They don't wash themselves. That's the problem. No... No, sorry - I don't want a pair of self-washing gloves..." She tried to remain as civil as possible, but her frustration was mounting as the guy wasn't budging at all.
