[TTD] The Magic of Muggle Art[Lara]
« on: August 22, 2019, 12:57:53 AM »
They had been working on this for nearly a week. Lara's art studio's table looked like it had been taken over by a mad wizard who likes to dissect and torture muggle technology. Which would have been an accurate description of the events.  One-piece laid mostly disassembled and Incarcerous to the table. It now endlessly spun its gears while making a horrible grinding sound.  Pieces of its frame lay scattered around it as if it had been tortured to find out it secrets. Some were around day four, of their failed attempts they had given up and called Silvano’s old Muggle-born classmate to procure them yet another one to experiment on. This time they were a lot gentler. Taking note where they went wrong before, and just where to cast their enchantments. They had got it running but getting the button on the base to turn it on and off was the difficult part.

“Lara, I think I got it figured out. I just have to…” Silvano mumbled something and casted a spell at the button and the machine stopped spinning and the button popped up. It stopped grinding. He picked up the second grinder tentatively took the lid off then looked at the blades. Seeing that it was in order. He set it down on the table and pressed the button again. It buzzed and danced on the table of his cousin’s art studio. He had to ketch it and quickly pushed the switch again. It turned off.

“YES! I told you I would get it to work!” He stood above it with his hands on his hips, looking down at the to the cup shaped grinder. The book nerd and the artist had studied the muggle instruction book and took apart the old grinder and attempted to put it back together again, found enchantments to get it running without muggle Elec-tris-city. It just took a second try with a new grinder to get the button to work so his cousin Lara could grind and blend her pigments even when her hands were suffering from tremors.  Needless to say, he was pleased with their hard work. He glanced over at his cousin who had been more of a sister to him over the last decade, to see if she was as thrilled. It was all for her. Some arthritic artist mentioned they used a muggle grinder to grind and mix their pigments at the art festival. Silvano jumped at the chance to help make his cousins life easier so he spent little over a week tracking down an old muggle-born classmate to help procure the muggle device for them. "Let's test it out. Just in case we need a stronger locomotion spell or something."

Lara was gathering pigments she collected. Realizing he should be helping her with getting the bucket of pigments from off the shelves, he jumped up. “What pigment color do you need to make first? We should be able to grind down and mix a number of them tonight. We just have to scourgify the grinder in between to prevent muddling the colors. I can help you with that."
