[Solved] Wayback Machine/Old Character Sheets Help
« on: October 29, 2019, 10:19:04 PM »
Hi there,

I used to be super active on here back in 2011-2013, and when I stopped being active I saved all of my characters on Charahub.  Charahub has been taken down and purged, so I don't have access to any of my old writing anymore since MH purges old posts/messages/etc.  I'm trying to use Wayback Machine to find my sandbox which has everything I need, but I can't seem to access anything. Is there a guide on how to use Wayback Machine to find old MH threads, or can a mod help me recover the old thread somehow?  Thank you!

Hey, do you have something specific you want recovered? it's not my area of expertise but I can find Bristol's old sheet

First Name: Bristol
Last Name: McColl
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Nationality: 1/2 British, 1/2 Scottish
Spoken Languages:
    native;; English, Scottish, Irish/Gaelic
    fluent;; German, French (both learned in Auror training)
Place of Birth: Greenock, Scotland
    current location;; East London, England
Age/Date of Birth: 30 | December 6
Occupation:
    previous;; Auror
    current;; Looking for a job
Stance: Dark Witch
Approved Special Features: None

Eyes: Bristol has large, oval eyes, that begin as a rusty brown on the outside of the iris, but fade in to an olive green towards the middle.  She has arched eyebrows, manicured and slim, and lots of eyelashes, although they aren't all that long.
Hair: Bristol's hair is a couple inches blow shoulder length, and hangs straight down, although it has some body as well.  The cut is very layered, and if it weren't for Bristol's constant management, it could appear a bit sloppy.  It is shiny and black, with short bangs that fall on the right side.
Height: 5'9"
General Appearance: Bristol has a rather regal looking face, with an angled chin, semi-prominent cheekbones, and fine bone structure.  Her appearance can appear haughty at times because of her hooded eyes and thin mouth.  She is skinny, but actually very muscled, and has a prominent chest.  Her pale skin bears four deep black tattoos; a thin Celtic rope that spirals around her left arm, the word "STRONG", written in Gaelic, down her right forearm, and a large serpent spanning her back.  Her last is the chorus of the traditional Scottish song 'Loch Lomond,' ("By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes;  Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond;  Where me and my true love will ne'er meet again;  On the bonnie, bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond") tattooed in small, calligraphic text on her right shoulder.  Bristol doesn't smile often, but when she does, she makes it as straight as possible, although her natural smile is a rather lopsided, mischievous grin.
Dressing Style: Bristol's style is comparable to that of muggle "punk" styles.  She refuses to wear skirts, dresses or robes unless absolutely necessary, and prefers skintight black trousers, a garment that she owns in normal fabric and dragonhide.  Her favorite shoes are black stiletto boots, but she occasionally wears plain black heels instead.  She loves rivets and studs on her belts and the few other accessories that she wears.  Bristol wears a small amount of makeup, just mascara and thin black eyeliner on the top and bottom, and sheer red lipstick.

General Character Traits:
Bristol is a very outgoing person.  She loves being around people, and tries to get along with everyone.  She is easy to converse with, due to her many interests and level of education and experience.  Outwardly confident, she can come off as a bit conceited at times.  She is well aware that she is considered desirable, and loves the attention that it brings.  She often "oozes" sexuality, and is an immense flirt with men everywhere.  While she says that she doesn't have a type, she is rather drawn to the dark and mysterious.  She has an aggressive and a passive side, and is in touch with both, switching into either one that her role demands.

Bristol is not particularly good with lasting relationships; mostly thriving on one night stands, seducing a man, then ditching him as soon as she gets what she wants.  It is not really that she uses people, more like she loses interest in people quickly.  She has a very carefree demeanor, often acting without inhibitions and not thinking of the consequences.  She is constantly looking for her next thrill, the next big thing to get her adrenaline moving.  Fighting is a large part of her life, whether it be fighting at her gym or just picking a fight with a random person, it makes her feel alive and she craves the feeling.

While Bristol has quite the wild nature, she is actually rather organized in her personal life.  She likes to have thing mapped out and planned.  Her "spontaneous" outings, like most of her fights and strange adventures, are actually not spontaneous at all; they have been all planned out beforehand.  Her planning goes hand-in-hand with her rather sly nature, knowing exactly the right sequence of events to get anything or anyone to go the way she wishes.

Likes:
     power;; Bristol enjoys holding power over others, mentally emotionally and physically.  She makes her presence known, drawing attention (something else she loves) to her, and giving her temporary power over those that she is influencing.
     glitz;; In her everyday attire, Bristol may not wear many accessories, but when she needs to dress up, she thoroughly enjoys it.  She loves events where she can dress in ways that draws attention towards her, especially formal ones.
     passion;; Bristol is an immensely passionate lover, and relishes sexual encounters.  She enjoys both holding control and relinquishing it, depending on her mood and partner, and can best be described as kinky.  She enjoys being rough, and being roughed up, and prides herself in her sensual nature.
     confrontation;; While Bristol doesn't necessarily go looking to harm anyone, she loves and craves the adrenaline received from a good fight; be it verbal, magical, or physical.
     sarcasm;; Humour is not Bristol's strongest suit, but she has a proclivity for sarcasm.  It can sting her recipients at times, but that doesn't hinder her.  She often uses sarcastic bites as a defense mechanism; deflecting things that make her uncomfortable with brash wit.
Dislikes:
     criticism;; Bristol can not stand to be told that she is doing anything wrong, by anyone other than those closest to her.  She often finds herself believing that she can do no wrong, and she is trying to break that way of thinking.
     weaklings;; Raised to be strong in all aspects, Bristol looks down upon those with frail bodies or emotions, believing that they are simply too lazy or stupid to make themselves strong.
     baggy clothing;; Tight fitting garments are Bristol's staple, allowing her to move with agility and without hindrance.  Baggy clothing drives her absolutely crazy, getting in her way and looking rather sloppy in her opinion.
     yellow;; Of all the colors out there, Bristol loathes yellow. She finds it far too bright, and she can never match it with any of her outfits;  pairing it with her usual black only succeeds in making her look like an overly large bumblebee.  Her pale complexion does not help the situation in the slightest, looking rather sickly when next to the sunny color.
     pumpkin juice;; Blech.  Enough said.
Habits/Mannerisms:
Bristol has a love for tattoos:; wizarding or muggle.  She finds them to be a great form of personal expression that will permanently be with her; the perfect accessory.  She attempts to get a symbolic tattoo everytime something of note happens in her life.  Smoking isn't a daily habit for Bristol, but it is one that she will take up when offered.  She tends to smoke when she has been drinking, when she is with others who smoke, or when under a great deal of stress.  Bristol's biting sarcasm is often accompanied by her trademark expression; a raised eyebrow and a smirk of sorts.  Often it comes off as arrogant, but she can convey humor, annoyance or anger as well.  Depending on the occasion and company, Bristol's accent can shift between a rich Scottish and a smooth British.  Oftentimes she speaks with the British, especially on formal occasions.  In casual or stressful situations however, her Scottish comes through quite strongly.
Strengths:
    smart;;  Bristol has a balance of street smarts, and book smarts.  She is not knowledgable in an intensely wide variety of subjects, but knows the ones that interest her like the back of her hand.
    strong;;  Bristol is strong in all aspects; one could call her physically and mentally buff.  Her body and mind are disciplined, efficient, and unyielding. Strength is something she takes pride in, and likes to show off.
    determined;;  Bristol is determined to get what she wants, and she will do anything to do it.  She doesn't give up, no matter how hard it gets.
    brave;;  Bristol is not afraid of hardly anyone or anything, and rushed headfirst into situation where she feels she needs to take action.
    agile/flexible;;  Bristol is extremely flexible and agile, both during fighting, and when making plans, never setting anything in stone, often changes events in regards to current situations.
    creative;;  Creativity is definitely one of Bristol's strong suits, and she uses it often in confrontations.  She tries to use things out of the box that may not be conventional, but do the most damage.
Weaknesses:
    conceited;;  Bristol thinks rather highly of herself, and constantly denies it if she is wrong.  She isn't so self-centered that she can't think of anyone else, but she does think of herself more often.
    stubborn;;  Although Bristol is flexible when making plans, she is rock solid when it comes to her beliefs.  If she thought up the idea, there is no changing it, and absolutely no way to make it better.
    bored;;  Bristol is a perpetual thrill-seeker.  Addicted to adrenaline, she will do anything to get an activity high and get her blood flowing.  Many activities that are exciting to others don't meet her high standards, so she is constantly bored.
    disregards danger;;  With her penchant for adventure, Bristol tends to get herself into somewhat dangerous situations with no regards whatsoever for consequences.  Danger gets her blood pumping- a feeling she enjoys.
    noncommunicative with emotions;;  While Bristol may be very energetic and talkative, she does not communicate what she is feeling.  She could go all day about the weather, but anything involving her emotions is a no-go.

Mother: Bridghet McColl nee Hastings, 55, Homemaker, Hufflepuff
     blood status;; Half-Blood
Father: Angus McColl, 57, Healer, Slytherin
     blood status;; Muggle-Born
Siblings: None
Background Story:

     Parents
Angus McColl and Bridghet Hastings met in Bridghet's hometown of Bristol, England when Angus visited Bristol for market.  Angus caught a glimpse of Bridghet as he strode across the dock, and was so distracted that he kept walking, straight into the water.  Already embarrassed and not able to swim. Angus used a bit of - what he thought to be unnoticeable- magic to get him back up onto the docks.  Bridghet was not fooled however, and could tell that magic had been used.  Being of magical power herself, she was further intrigued by the attractive man that had taken notice of her.  After a lengthy and enjoyable discussion with the man who she found out was Angus McColl, Bridghet was asked on a date by the slightly older man.  Charmed by his rugged nature, she accepted, and they dated for two years before marrying in a simple ceremony next to the beautiful Loch Lomond in Scotland, a small bit away from Angus's native Greenock.

     Early Childhood
Bristol was born on the small McColl farming estate on December 6th, the year after Angus and Bridghet were married.  She was a particularly ornery  child, often biting and throwing things when she was angry.  Arguing as soon as she could talk, she often frustrated her parents to no end.  She began walking rather early, and walking turned to a toddling jog, which turned into running at age five.  Bristol loved to run and jump, doing odd flips just because she could.

Bristol went nearly her entire Pre-Hogwarts childhood without exhibiting a sign of magic, and it rather worried her wizarding parents.  She seemed to be perfectly content with doing things by hand, showing no desire to learn the magic that her parents displayed on a regular basis.  Finally at age nine, Bristol managed to cause a few objects to fly across the room at her father in a rather snitty tantrum.  Her parents were angry at first, but were overall happy that she was displaying magical ability.

     School Years
Bristol began her first year at Hogwarts fairly well, using her outgoing personality to make a few friends on the train before the had even arrived at the school.  She had a rather long sorting experience:  the Hat spoke to her, contemplating whether to put her in Gryffindor or Slytherin.  In the end, her amount of determination and ambition outweighed her amount of bravery, and she was placed in the darker house.  In her first year at Hogwarts, Bristol found that she did far better in the tactile classes than those that relied on books and lectures.  Defence Against the Dark Arts and Flying were her strongest and most enjoyable subjects.  She also made friends with another Slytherin, Tempeste Forsycthe, who was a year above her.

In the summer between her first and second year, Bristol witnessed an occurrence that had an impact on her.  Whilst fetching some fresh fish from market, she came across a brawl on the docks between two drunken muggle sailors.  Bristol watched with a great deal of interest as the two men swung and kicked at each other.  Captivated, she didn't realize that she had slowly been getting closer to the fight until the man facing her pointed in her direction, and in a slurred voice, asked " Oi! Wot you doin'?"  The other brute, without bothering to see exactly who it was his opponent was yelling at, turned at punched blindly.  Bristol managed to duck and grab the man's hands before sliding between his legs, knocking his alcohol-addled body on his arse.  With adrenaline coursing through her, Bristol ran all the way home and demanded the Angus teach her how to fight properly.  Angus, having grown up in a nonmagical neighborhood where he had been bullied physically by his muggle neighbors, knew quite a bit about defensive and offensive fighting.  Though tentative to teach her violence at first, she seemed genuinely interested in learning, so he gave in.

That summer, Angus taught her how he had learned to street fight in his childhood muggle neighborhood, building up her strength and agility.  She used her already present speed and flexibility to her advantage, beating her father in some of their sparring lessons.  Bristol loved every aspect of the fighting.  She loved the strength and athleticism it took, the challenge of having to think and react quickly, and the way it required her to get in touch with her body.  Her mother encouraged her to do something with her physical talent, and wanted Bristol to try out for the Quidditch team when school began again.  Interested and already a good flyer, Bristol said that she would.

True to her word, Bristol showed up at Quidditch tryouts when term started, determined to land a spot on the team.  When the captain asked her what position she wanted to try out for, she was laughed at when she responded with "Beater."  She was told that the Slytherin team already had enough beaters, and they were all bigger and older than the slight second year girl.  The captain handed her a quaffle and told her that if she really wanted to play, she should try out at Chaser.  Her ball handling skills were surprisingly good, as she had quick reflexes and was a fast flyer.  Very aggressive, she would shoulder others out of the way, holding onto the Quaffle for as long as she could.  Her determination was noted, and she was offered a spot, which she promptly accepted.

In her third year, elective classes were opened and Bristol decided to try her hand at Divination, and Care of Magical Creatures.  She really did try to open her mind in the former class, but really had no talent in the subject.  Care of Magical Creatures was okay; they began with fairly small, friendly creatures, but Bristol wasn't very patient with them and it showed in her grades.  She managed to pass both classes, but not by much.  Also, she began to really enjoy Potions, having met a first year girl in her house, Idony Greeves, that she really got along with.

By fourth year,  Bristol had dropped Divination, and signed up for the far more interesting, to her, Arithmancy class.  She had also had gained a lot of friends, and had discovered her love of boys.  From her first clumsy encounter in a broom closet with fumbling hands, Bristol was addicted.  Promiscuous behavior and flirting became her forte, and she was involved with many a fellow student.  However, Bristol's "relations" were not "relationships" by any means.  She got what she wanted and moved on to the next adventure, never really having a real boyfriend.  She did have on particular plaything that she used more than once; Quinton Stewart.  Quinn was a Gryffindor in her year, and they were good friends, although it escalated to friends with benefits.  After a particularly heated encounter, Quinn became Bristol's "first time."  While she enjoyed the sex, she had no desire to begin dating him, which was what he wanted.  Needless to say, their friendships was a bit strained and awkward from then on.  She moved on to the next, Lochlan Scrivenshaft, a slightly awkward Ravenclaw boy in her year.  They dated briefly, but it was just too weird with him, so Bristol broke it off.

At home between terms, Bristol was working out more than ever.  Her physique was toned from Quidditch and her own exercises, and she was building lean muscle quickly.  The work paid off, and in 5th year, she was the roughest chaser on the team, and it earned her a bit of respect from her fellow players.  Knowing that her O.W.L.s were coming up, she decided to really focus on the subjects that she was doing well at.  Her work mostly paid off, resulting in O's for Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Transfiguration, and E's in Herbology, Arithmancy, History of Magic, and Charms.  All of her other classes received A's.

By 6th year, Bristol was determined to get a better grade than she had gotten in 3rd year, so she stayed with Care of Magical Creatures again, but it did not turn out too well.  The creatures this year were far more tempermental and violent.  She attempted to enjoy the class, but it was becoming rather difficult. On the day that they had to work with Blast-Ended Skrewts, Bristol's caused her a substantial burn injury that caused her to miss that night's Quidditch match against Slytherin's largest rival, Gryffindor.  Having had enough, she promptly dropped the class.

During career planning in early 7th year, Bristol came to the conclusion that she wanted to be an Auror.  It sounded full of excitement and adventure, things that Bristol craved.  As it would happen, the five recommended N.E.W.T. subjects to become an Auror were subjects that Bristol enjoyed and excelled at already,  Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, and Herbology were taken at N.E.W.T. level and passed with O's, except for Herbology which got an E.  Bristol proudly graduated with the rest of her year, ready to become an adult.

     Auror Training
Bristol began her first day of Auror training fairly confident.  She knew a couple of the other trainees from school, and that made her feel a bit more comfortable than she would have been otherwise.  After a brief introduction and orientation, the instructor asked for a display of skills.  Bristol was paired up with Chandler Casey, a boy from a year below her in school, and a former Gryffindor.  The mock duel began with beginner spells, but Bristol had a thirst to prove herself, so she upped the ante.  Her offensive spells became increasingly complicated, but so did her opponent's.  Knowing that Aurors sometimes have to resort to hand-to-hand combat, Bristol tumbled forward and kicked out, knocking Chandler off his feet before flipping on top of him and grabbing his wand, effectively winning the "duel."  Bristol made a good impression on the rest of the class, but Chandler was not happy with the way he had been bested, and glared at her as he walked back by everyone else.

Throughout her training, Bristol excelled in combat, but the relationships with her peers left a bit to be desired.  She only really bonded with one person, Jessica Smith, with whom she became good friends and teammates.  However, Chandler really did not like her, and tension between them grew high.  They often had heated arguments, disagreeing over anything and everything, and Bristol grew to truly loath the man.  Sometimes she just wanted to throw her hands up and quit, but decided to stay strong.  She found solace in her friendship with Jessica however, as they grew increasingly close.

Bristol made another friend in the second year of her training; a girl she really hadn't payed attention to before.  In a training exercise, the trainees were required to pair up, but their partners were assigned to them.  Bristol's familiar was Vega Vanguard, a kind of quiet girl.  Throughout the mission, Bristol realized that the two had a lot in common, and they became rather good friends.  Two years after her first paired exercise, Bristol's training came to an end, and she proudly graduated to an official Auror with Vega and Jessica.

     Being an Auror
After three fairly uneventful years, Bristol took a visit to Knockturn Alley to investigate some Dark dealings.  As she took a look around at all of the 'interesting' people about, she accidentally ran into a tall body in front of her.  Apologizing, she looked up into the handsome face of a man dressed in nice dark clothing.  He looked down at her in what seemed to be vague amusement, so she quickly recovered herself and stuck out her hand.  After introducing herself and trying to diffuse her embarrassment, she learned that the kind man she had run into was named Jonathan Halifax.  They began a hesitant, yet pleasant conversation, and Bristol was in quite a good mood as she bid farewell to her new acquaintance.  During subsequent trips to Diagon Alley's Dark brother, she often saw Jonathan in passing, and gave him a warm smile that was always returned.  Bristol was rather intrigued by, and attracted to, the man.  An easy friendship was built between the two whenever the chance was had.

A couple of months later, Bristol was required to visit Knockturn Alley with the company of Chandler, which put her in a rather bad mood. Her countenance was greatly improved when she saw Jonathan and gave him a wave.  Upon seeing who she was with, he simply walked away into the crowd with no response.  Bristol frowned, wondering what was wrong, before her companion asked who she happened to be waving at, bringing her out of her thoughts.  She responded with Jon's name, and was rewarded with a shocked expression from Chandler.  Wondering what he was on about, Bristol asked if he knew him.

She could only listen in disbelief as Chandler told her that Jonathan was a Dark Wizard, and suspected Death Eater.  Bristol refused to believe that the man she had grown to trust would be in those kinds of dealings, and vehemently defended him.  He stuck to his story though, leading Bristol to become very angry and yell at him before disapparating back to the Auror Headquarters.  Seeing her distraught state, Jessica asked her what was wrong, and upon hearing the story, confirmed what Chandler had said; Jonathan Halifax was not who she thought he was.

The next day, Bristol roamed Knockturn Alley, looking for Jonathan and found him outside of an alley.  Storming over to him, she demanded to know why he hadn't told her.  He laughed in her face, calling her a fool, and told her that he had only used her for her Auror status, to fish for information.  Angry and ashamed, she disapparated away to her flat, before sending Jessica an owl, requesting that the Ministry be told that she was quitting.  She wouldn't be able to handle the embarrassment, being around people that knew of her foolish and gullible mistake.

     Rebellious Streak
Bristol didn't know why Jonathan's betrayal was so painful to her, she didn't know him that well anyways, but it still hurt her.  The most reasonable explanation was that she was angry at herself; for being so trusting and naive, for not seeing the obvious, and for acting like a fool.  And when it came to Jon, she wasn't really angry at him, she was angry at the situation.  But the more she thought about the situation, the better it actually began to sound.  While she had enjoyed the combat and thrill of Auror duties, it was more that she enjoyed the adrenaline and physical activities, not that she enjoyed putting Dark Wizards in their place.  Half the time, she actually sympathized with the Dark ones, identifying with them a bit.  Being in Slytherin had exposed her to a darker side that had always interested her, but she put that interest behind for the sake of what she thought to be her dream career.  But now that her career was over, she was free to act like she really wanted; able to be a free spirit.

Bristol wanted to start new, to move on to a new chapter.  It wouldn't come easy though, and until she found what she really wanted to do, she needed a job.  Contacting Zachary Incarnadine, a friend of a friend from school, she arranged a meeting with him for lunch at the Bloody Muggle.  While she may have been tapping into her darker leanings, her own father was a muggleborn and she was rather disturbed by the grotesque murals, choosing a seat away from as many as possible.  As she conversed with Zi, they talked about known job opportunities in Knockturn Alley, and Bristol took mental note of shops that interested her, and continued looking for work on her own long after the meeting was over.  After a month of numerous application procedures, she finally secured a job as a stocker at Incarnadine Arcana.

     Rise of Voldemort
Bristol was worried, but wasn't all too concerned when it came out that the Dark Lord had indeed returned.  She was a Slytherin working in Knockturn Alley, was she not?  Although she was the child of two half-bloods, she was sure that she wouldn't be too affected by anything that was to happen.  This state of mind changed when Voldemort invaded Hogwarts, one of her favorite places.  She stayed inside her flat the entire night that it happened, scared for the children and professors inside.  When she heard that Dumbledore was dead by Professor Snape's wand, she had no clue what to think.  Dumbledore was an extremely likeable wizard, and someone she had grown to adore over her years at school.  But Professor Snape was her head of house, her favorite teacher, and she trusted him.  She had no idea what to think, and so she drowned herself in tasks at work to keep her mind off of it.

A couple of months after the Death Eater's takeover, Bristol finally began to venture back out into town, as work was slow and couldn't;t take her mind off of things anymore.  Looking for cheap thrills that would put her at ease, she found solace in multiple one and two night stands with men that she could care less about.  However, she soon developed an actual interest for the attractive Dominic Regan.  Meeting him several times in Knockturn Alley, they developed a slight friendship.  This was taken to a new level after a drunken night that resulted in the two waking up next to each other the next morning.  After an awkward parting, what Bristol thought to be just a one-night stand turned into something more.  Their relations became rather frequent, but Dominic assured her that he was just using her as stress relief.  Bristol shouldn't have been offended; she enjoyed men using her for just her body, but she was a little hurt.  As they learned more about each other outside of the bedroom, their minglings slowed, and eventually stopped, but an easy friendship remained.

A while after Hogwarts became a prison to the attendants inside, Bristol was tidying up the hop by herself when she suddenly heard news that Harry Potter was in the castle, and that a great battle was ensuing.  Angry at being so terrified, a feeling she wasn't used to, Bristol was determined to kick some Death Eater arse.  She joined in the Battle of Hogwarts until the very end, striking down as many of the enemy as she could, before hearing that Voldemort had been vanquished.  In the aftershock of the Battle, Bristol apparated home and collapsed from exhaustion and quite the adrenaline rush.  Bristol finds the general mood around Wizarding London a bit odd now, still in the aftermath and chaos of the conflict.

Scotland.  Bristol's childhood home, the place she loved.  She was visiting Greenock, her place of birth, and relishing being back in the country in which she was raised.  While she had told her parents that the visit was due to "wanting to relive her roots,"  that was decidedly not the main reason she was here.  With the recently ended anarchy in the Wizarding world, Bristol just needed a break with some good ol' non-homicidal people for once, a change from the people that had been roaming Knockturn Alley as of late.  And what better place to get a break than the place which had given her peace or the first part of her life?  But being in Scotland for this long weekend wasn't going to only consist of sitting on the shore of her family's estate, although she planned to do that as well.  Bristol was an adrenaline seeker wherever she was; here was no different.  Tonight, she needed to get out on the town.  She was going to a club that she had heard of before, it had a reputation for nights of fun, and if "nights of fun" were involved...?  Well just sign her up!

Bristol slipped on the deep purple minidress she had picked out for the night, one that hugged her curves and showed off her cleavage.  Her tattoos were visible and looked nice, contarting with the pale skin, made paler by the dark color of the dress.  She didn't need to wear a bracelet tonight; her Celtic rope tattoo circling around her forearm would serve that purpose perfectly.  However, the most stunning part of her outfit tonight was the dress's back, or rather, lack thereof.  It dipped down to her lower back, showing her entire intricate snake tattoo, with the head starting at the nape of her neck and the tail ending somewhere out of sight, hinting suggestively.  Tossing her straight black hair over her shoulder as she slipped on a pair of strappy black stilettos, she hoped that there would be some attractive men in her presence tonight.  "I can't be spending my weekend in a luxe hotel, and not have a man share my bed once!  I would be a disgrace to my own nature," she thought, as she grabbed her clutch and threw one last look at the mirror to make sure that her hair was alright, before apparating away out of her hotel room.

Arriving at the club, she waltzed right up to the front of the line, and put her hand on the shoulder of the man at the door.  Leaning in close, she whispered "Hey hot stuff. Can I go in? I'll give you a tip."  The bouncer took a moment to look the woman up and down before nodding and winking at her suggestively.  Smiling back, she strutted into the club and dropped her smile and sighed as soon as she was out of sight, punctuating the slight exhale of breath with a roll of the eyes.  Guys were so easy nowadays.  She wanted someone different, who had more than one brain cell and would actually give her a good time tonight.  Taking a breath, Bristol put on her best confident "Oh yes, I know I'm sexy" smirk and walked into the loud, strobe-lighted room.  Seeing a couple of fairly attractive and quite obviously inebriated men by the bar, Bristol smiled in almost a feral grin.  Oh yes, tonight was going to be fun.

Oh that's fantastic!

I was hoping to find the sheets for all of my old characters, but that seems like it would be a loooooot of work for you all.  Would there be any way to find my old sandbox or shipper? Those had all of my sheets in them in one place.  Those threads are what I was trying to find on Wayback Machine but it wouldn't work.

My char list, apart from this one, had the following:

@Tempeste Sloan
@Silus Pierce
@Leroy Palmer
@Rooney Perkins
@Zhelyazko Zichtermann
@Yvonne Benoir
@Lucy Lautens
@Niklaus Schulz
@Aobhinn O'Geanin

I think one or two of them weren't sorted, just in sandbox dev, so they might be lost forever.  Thanks for trying to help me with this, I know its a pain. I specifically saved them somewhere else for just this reason and that storage place got deleted.

@Bristol McColl
great thanks!

would you mind editing your post and putting an “@” in front of each of the names to tag them? makes it much easier for us because that turns the names into links to the profiles (if the account still exists)! ^^

For some reason some of those aren't working, but they are linked in Bristol's profile if that works instead.  I linked all of the ones that did end up working

First Name: Tempeste
Last Name: Sloan
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Nationality: British
Spoken Languages: English
Place of Birth: Yorkshire, England
Age/Date of Birth: 17 | August 25
Approved Special Features: None

Eyes: She has large, oval, and very bright green eyes that are darker around the pupil and edge, but very vivid in the center. She has lots of long, thick eyelashes on the top and bottom.  Her eyebrows are manicured - plucked, waxed, and thin, and are a light brown color. She wears thin black eyeliner on top and bottom lids, and 3 coats of black mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
Hair: Tempeste has light brown hair with natural auburn flecks, usually brought out when in the sun.  Her hair is almost always straightened, although it's naturally wavy, and falls to midpoint of her back when straight. It is layered, and the shortest layer is about ear level.  Medium-short bangs on the right side are semi-fringed, sometimes falling over her right eye.
Height: 5'5"
General Appearance: She has a heart shaped face, alabaster skin, a button nose, and full red lips.  Her skin is clear, no freckles, dimples or beauty marks.  She is skinny yet curvy, and has an hourglass figure.  She has lean legs, full hips, slim stomach, and a 34D breast size.  Not muscled, but fit and toned.  She usually wears a smirk of some sort, relaxed, although she is very graceful in her movements.
Dressing Style: At school, she tends to wear her uniform a size too small, making the skirt shorter and the shirt tighter.  She forgoes stocking and vests, but does wear the tie, although it hangs loosely around her neck instead of tight where it should be.  Outside of school, clingy apparel is usually worn, accenting her body.  Black is a staple color and is used in nearly every outfit.

General Character Traits: Tempeste is impossibly insecure, and she makes up for that by bringing any possible positive attention to herself that she can.  With promiscuous actions and apparel, she attempts to guarantee herself compliments on her looks, which must be constant to keep her self-worth at a healthy level.  She has abandonment issues, hating rejection and not wanting people she cares about to leave her.  She will do anything to keep those close to her. Tempeste also has a wall that she keeps up, and only her closest friends even remotely know of her true emotions.  She acts confident, preppy, and even bitchy at times, when truly she is always trying to feel good about herself.

Likes:
     Reading: It gives her a world to sink into and an opportunity to forget her own life for a while.
     Potions: Due to the skill and precision needed, and the logical mystery behind which combinations make what and why.
     Attention: Coming from family where her mother was always working and her father wasn't there, Tempeste strives for positive attention, because she had only received negative before.
     Fashion: Tempeste is what many would consider 'trendy' and she has quite the eye for fashion.  She dresses to impress anywhere she goes.  Her closet is overflowing with clothes and shoes, and she is always buying new fancy things.
Dislikes:
     Showing Emotion Publicly: Tempeste dislikes showing emotion and expressing herself to anyone but her own self, and even then she doesn't like to face herself.  She is afraid that they will reject her for how she feels, or will find her weak.
     Dogs: Another dislike of hers is dogs.  She isn't sure why, but she absolutely hates them.  She is fairly certain that it is their incessant shedding, and drool.  She hates drool.
     Country Music: Tempeste absolutely loathes country music, because she sees all of it as either complaining about the singer's dog dying, wife leaving, or their horses and beer.
     Failure: Tempeste is driven by a constant desire to be the best, and only the very best-  the prettiest, the smartest, the most popular, etc, and not being on top bothers her.  Her father always told her that she would never be the best, and she wants to be.  She wants to prove him wrong.
Habits/Mannerisms: Tempeste flinches instinctively around sharp movements, or when a person is mad at her.  She is always afraid that they will hit her, and she assumes this often.
Strengths: Tempeste's greatest strength is determination. She knows what she wants, how to get it, and is not afraid to do anything she can to get where she wants.  She has a constant thirst to prove herself and is ambitious, wanting everything she is capable of and more.  Stubborn and determined, Tempeste doesn't want to break. Most of the time she will continue on because she believes that she has a lot to prove.  She has spent her life feeling unwanted, and has come out determined to exceed every expectation set for her by any means.
Weaknesses: Tempeste has an issue with attachment, wanting it, but breaking it off as soon as a person gets too close, "leaving them before they leave her."  When it comes to relationships, she will becomes self-conscious if she is rejected.  Rejection is a fear of hers, because she feels that her father rejected her, and it brings up sore wounds.  She overcompensates for her feelings of loneliness by getting attention in ways that are frowned upon, (ie, promiscuous behavior) and sees nothing wrong with it.  She pretends to be someone she isn't, all for the sake of her public image, and she acts self-centered to hide her self-esteem issues.

Corvus Sloan and Issadora Chanson met in St. Mungo's hospital after Corvus was admitted for injuries caused by a biting chamberpot that his department was trying to fix at the Ministry.  Corvus was rather cranky that he was missing work until a healer a couple of years younger than him came in to tend his wounds.  He was transfixed by her giant green eyes and it was awkward for both of them when she asked why he was staring.  Corvus soon became a usual at St. Mungo's as he rose in the ranks of the Department of Magical Accidents and Mishaps, and he and Issadora soon become acquaintances.  She remembered him from Hogwarts, when he was Head Boy and she was a mere fourth year.  As they grew to be friends, they learned more and more about each other, and started seeing each other outside of the hospital.  A year after their meeting they were married, and Tempeste was born promptly 9 months later to her parents.

Tempeste doesn't remember much of her early childhood, mostly just faint snippets until the age of five.  Her father had begun drinking shortly after her birth, and became quite violent.  It began with throwing things at the wall, and instances like that.  Tempeste's first clear memory is of when she stood outside in the hallway, looking into the kitchen and watching as Corvus hit her mother for the first time.  At age 5, she didn't exactly know what was going on, but it scared her that 'Daddy was hurting Mommy'.  When she was 7 and had finally began to understand what was happening, she tried to intervene at times and always got screamed at, but at least he stopped hitting her mother for the time being.  That changed right after she hit puberty at age nine, and he began hitting her as well.  She was hurt emotionally by this, feeling that if she could only be better and make Daddy happy, that it would all stop.

Tempeste began to display magical ability at a very young age, mostly when she was angry.  The events were not of large proportion, just simple things like objects suddenly hurtling across the room.  This temper was not tolerated by her father, and only caused him to become angry.  She tried as hard as she could to please him in her homeschooling, striving to meet his lofty expectations, so a foot-long assignment was turned in at two feet, and when she was supposed to read three chapters, she would read the whole book.  However, nothing she did could ever make him happy, and by the time she was ten, she finally stood up to him strongly.  He had been on a firewhisky binge, and was drunker than she had ever seen him before.

She had come out in her pajamas; shorts and a tank top, to tell her mother goodnight, and he was pushing himself on Issadora, despite her saying no over and over again.  Grabbing his shoulder, she yelled at him to stop, because 'Mommy doesn't want you'.  Turning around, she saw the fire in his alcohol addled eyes, and he pushed her against the wall.  He critiqued her outfit, saying that she looked like a slut, and told her that if she wanted to look like a slut, she'd better learn how to act like one too.  That night, Tempeste was beaten and assaulted by her own father, and was left bruised and crying in her room.

She awoke the next morning to find her mother crying on the couch.  Her father had packed his bags and left right after hurting Tempeste the night before, blaming his "horrid life" on her, and saying that he would never come back as long as she was around.  Tempeste was heartbroken, feeling that everything was her fault.  Although she had begun to hate the man, he was still her father, and she felt like she had failed. She couldn't bear that she had been abandoned, couldn't bear the negative attention, and felt that she could do no right.

In no time at all, she was entering her first year at Hogwarts, wondering where she would be sorted.  She realized that her looks gained her attention, and grew dependent on hearing constant positive remarks about her, an opposite of what she had been through in her childhood.  She tried everything to become popular, so that she could hear these positive things constantly.  She didn't care if they weren't true, and she didn't care that she sounded conceited, she just needed to hear them.  She did make a few trusted friends that year, including a fellow Slytherin girl in her year named Rosaline Bane.

In her second year, Tempeste settled in more at school, realizing her talent at Potions.  She really began to enjoy school, and the enthusiasm branched into other subjects, mainly Defence Against the Dark Arts.  A quick learner inside and outside of the classroom, she realized that being immersed in school was earning her more positive comments on her intelligence, thus she played up her intelligence even more.  Perhaps the only truly eventful thing in her second year was that she became friends with a 1st year Slytherin, Aubrey O'Dwyer.  The immediately clicked, and are still very close friends today.

Blossoming even more in looks during her third year, she was overwhelmed by requests to be a date for the Yule Ball.  She ended up going with Slytherin 5th year Winston Cadence, and she was felt quite...well, hot, in her black minidress.  It was while gauging the reaction to said dress that Tempeste began modifying her wardrobe to be more formfitting and skimpy, showing off her assets and accenting her curves, something that she was sure would gain her popularity in even the other houses.

By her fourth year, Tempeste was known by the entire Slytherin House, and some of the other third years.  She found that guys liked Quidditch, so she began to watch it and talk about it, although she had no love for the sport.  She was fair on a broom, but not good enough to make the team at any skill position.  However, she solicited good-natured laughs when she answered why she would never try out - "I can't have a bludger messing up this flawless face!"  She did have a Quidditch playing friend however, a Slytherin girl a year above her named Charlotte Briggs.  The two got along well, although the other girl could be a bit cruel to other students in Tempeste's opinion.

In her fifth year, Tempeste began to date more, but only shallow relationships, with guys that only said what a girl wanted to hear.  These relationships had no substance, they were just a place for Tempeste to keep her self-esteem from plummeting.  She dated Winston Cadence, her date to the Yule Ball and now a 7th year for a short while, and the relationship was doomed from the start.  Winston was jealous and rude, and became abusive towards Tempeste.  Reminded of what her father had said to her, Tempeste offered her "services" to Winston.  Every time that he would threaten to become violent, she submitted to him, ending his violence.

Once Tempeste became a 6th year, Winston had graduated and dumped her, calling her a "slut only good for a shag."  These words, coupled with her father's slander, wormed their way into her mind, and she began promiscuous behavior, thinking that it was the only thing she was good for.  She always received positive attention after these encounters, and so it only added fuel to the flame.  The actual relationships that she did have ended quickly by Tempeste's hand, wanting to break up with them before they had a chance to abandon her like her father had.  She became quiet and withdrawn for a while, and made a friend in Trevor McAllen, a Gryffindor a year below her.  It wasn't a strong friendship by any means, but it gave her hope;  if a Gryffindor of all people wanted to socialize with her, she couldn't be all bad, could she?  She made, surprisingly, another Gryffindor friend that year as well, and a Muggleborn at that! Pippa Harrington was tomboyish and a bit quirky, but Tempeste really liked her.  For a Slytherin though, that was highly frowned upon, so the friendship stayed more of an acquaintanceship.

The War gave Tempeste unexpected solace, diverting her attention from her internal emotions.  She stayed quiet in class, only saying what she knew that the Death Eater's wanted to hear. She simply regurgitated the anti-Muggle nonsense that she was fed to maintain a good grade, not actually investing any of herself into the assignments.  When the Final Battle was fought at Hogwarts, she stayed out of the fight, not wanting to participate in any more violence after her already violent life.  She stayed down in the Slytherin dungeons until the news that Harry Potter had vanquished the Dark Lord made its way through the castle.  She was happy for the boy only a year older than her; he had been through a more complicated life than she had.   Now in her 7th year, Tempeste has gone back to her "old self" that everyone knows.  She is more social, and is making more friends, though still looking for a boyfriend.

Wrapped up in a pleated, Slytherin green jacket to keep her warm, Tempeste strolled through the courtyard, leaves crunching under feet as she walked.  The breeze tangled her hair, and she tried to smooth it, with little success. Why did she leave the Common Room again? She was heading towards the library, not something she was usually known to do. She was caught up in all of her classes, so he wasn't there to do any required homework.  Today had been the first day of Potions, and she was still so wrapped up in it that she was heading over to the shelves and rows of books to some optional- yes, optional- reading. Tempeste Sloan, studying? Her Slytherin friends would laugh if they heard that.  In fact, so would she! Well, there was a first time for everything right?

While she hated to admit it, she actually liked the library; the warmth, the quiet, the comfy chairs, the peace. Speaking of warmth, she had just entered the castle, and it was far warmer than the autumn weather outside.  Sticking her hands in her pockets to warm them up from the previous chill, she stepped up the steep stone steps. As she reached the top, she was rather proud of herself for keeping her hands in her jacket the whole time; those stairs were easy to fall on, especially in heels like hers. She took a left and meandered down the hall until she found herself at the front entrance to the school library. Stepping in, she relaxed with the warmth of the room and looked around. Not many people were in the library at the moment, so she headed over towards the fire place, which was surround by chairs and a couch as always. She shed her jacket off next to one of the chairs and dropped her bag and scarf next to it. Smoothing down her low cut black cable-knit sweater and straightening her tight skirt, she headed over to the Potions section of the shelves.

After locating an old looking leather bound book that seemed interesting, Tempeste took it back to the chair and sat down, crossing her legs and facing the fireplace, feeling very content for some reason. Watching the sparks fizzle inside the grate was peaceful in the weirdest way, it gave her a sense of calm.  She lost herself in that stillness for a few minutes, before realizing that her mind had wandered. Pulling herself out of wherever her thoughts were as she aimlessly stared into the fireplace, she turned her attention to the book in her lab.  Flipping her hair over her shoulder, she opened the cover gently and began to go over the contents. Eyes: Silus has very light brown eyes, nearly golden in colour, and surrounded by dark, thick lashes.  They are of average shape, but they are heavily lidded and seem to be deeply set, in part because of his dark, groomed eyebrows.
Hair: Silus's hair is a sleek ebony, semi-long, with bangs parted to the left falling just to his eyebrow.  It is naturally straight.
Height: 6'2"
General Appearance: Silus has a slight build, thin, but not exactly wiry.  He has lean muscles, nothing that could be considered "buff," but still are noticeable.  He has pale skin, smooth and clear.  Also, his nose is of normal size, but it has a slight hooked quality.  Silus is always clean shaven, and has a fairly chisled jawline.
Dressing Style: Silus prefers dark and/or neutral colors, never anything bright.  He is always dressed semi-formal and classy, his outfits modern and trendy.  Everything that he owns it tailored to fit him exactly, and he comes across as looking very sharp.  When not on the job, he wears dark trousers, and plain shirts, short sleeve or long depending on the weather.  When it is cold, he wears his favorite wool jacket, a charcoal number that falls just below his waist.  His shoes are always shiny, and accessories are simple and minimal.  Silus takes great pride in looking presentable, so nothing that he wears could ever be considered sloppy or casual.

General Character Traits: Silus sees things in a black and white perspective. He sticks by his beliefs no matter what. He is stubborn, and does not budge easily on his ideas. While he is quiet, he will speak up for himself if insulted. Silus is very reserved, and often feels like he doesn't fit in, although he doesn't particularly want to.  With this withdrawn personality, Silus has taught himself to be quite impassive, not giving up any emotion.  Growing up in a somewhat privileged household, Silus was taught to be refined, and that is something that he has kept with him as he has grown older.  He has impeccable manners, often giving him an appearance of formality. Very intelligent, Silus is always thirsty for new knowledge.
Likes:
     men;; Silus may not come across as a gay man as he isn't very forthcoming about it, but he realized his sexuality sometime in his 6th year of schooling.
     the arts;;  Silus is a fan of the fine arts, mostly music.  He is talented at the piano, his favorite instrument, and he has a good voice, a deep baritone.
     reading; Reading is a passion of Silus's, as he is always thirsty for knowledge.  At his job in the bookshop, he often loses himself in a book when he should be working.
     boxing;; Silus likes his form just the way it is, and to keep thin, yet keep his muscle, he does individual boxing in the area set up in the basement of his home.  He enjoys it because it is something that he can do by himself, not a team sport.
     intelligent conversation;; Silus is a very smart man, and enjoys talking to people at the same intellectual level as himself.  He tends to have more in common with them, and can hold a conversation for far longer without getting bored easily.
Dislikes:
     quidditch;; Silus dislikes sports where you have to depend on a teammate, and prefers individual activities.  He finds Quidditch, specifically, a waste of time and money.
     cats and dogs;; Any domestic creature other than owls or ravens irk Silus to no end.  He cannot stand their size, nor their drool, nor their incessant shedding.
     divination;; Silus believes that Divination is a bunch of poppycock.  He does not take well to things that are not tangible and able to be proved by science.  On this line of reasoning, he is not religious, and thinks that anyone who believes that there is a God is a fool.
     crowds;; Crowds are something that Silus absolutely hates.  He prefers quiet solace instead of noisy, inconsiderate bunches of people.
     being coddled;; Silus prides himself on being a responsible individual, and believes that he can take perfectly good care of himself alone, thank you very much.
Habits/Mannerisms: Silus takes appearance to be very important, so he always dresses nicely. The only times that he appears even a bit disheveled is when he runs his hand through his hair when concentrating.  When he is tired, he doesn't slouch, but instead leans on his elbow on whatever surface is around.
Strengths: Silus is a very focused person. He is willing to do anything that needs to be done to succeed. He usually thinks clearly and rationally in a time of stress. He has a clear cut vision of what is right and what is wrong, and sticks to his beliefs. He is respectful, always knowing the right manners and protocol to use with people.  While it takes a while to crack his hard exterior, he is a sensitive guy at heart; sympathetic and empathetic. Silus doesn't have many friends, but he is immensely loyal to the ones he does have. He is motivated and naturally driven to succeed. Very intelligent, he uses his common-sense and logic as well as book smarts to get where he wants.
Weaknesses: Silus is very stubborn and sometimes finds it hard to admit that he's wrong.  He has trouble showing his emotions, and his introverted personality can come across as cold and/or frigid.  He is not very trusting, always suspicious that there is fine print.  He is not usually boastful, but he can become self-centered when it comes to his intelligence; he feels a bit superior to other that are not as smart as he is.  He can be privately judgemental at times when things are outlandish and quite obviously different.

Background Story:

     parents;;
Jasper and Adrienne have known each other since their second year at Hogwarts, both of them being in the same house.  They had mostly the same group of friends throughout the years at school, and both shared a love for literature.  While they were good friends, they didn't become romantically involved until a get-together at the Ministry of Magic four years after graduation.  After dating for a year, they held a small wedding in a London chapel. A little more than a year later, Silus was born. Jasper and Adrienne have remained married for 23 years.

     before hogwarts;;
Most of Silus's childhood was spent with his mother.  She taught him how to read, write, play piano, and schooled him in Latin and French, languages that she had learned fluently and thought would help him later in life. His father was often at his job, working overtime to make his family comfortable wealthy. When he did come home though, he always tried to make time for Silus, at the very least, reading to him before bed.  As Silus grew older, they would talk about the books they had read and Silus discovered his passion for books.

Silus soon learned that he did not like sports; he found them lacking in mental ability, and not enough of a challenge for his increasing knowledge.  His father tried to get him interested in Quidditch, but Silus wanted no part in such a violent sport.  He spent hours and hours at a time reading an writing, not usually liking to go outside, for outdoor activities did not compare to the worlds that he discovered while reading. He would begin reading in the morning, and continue all day, only stopping to eat.  Then he would stay up all night, writing down anything that the book made him feel.

Silus never saw many other children growing up. His neighborhood was fairly secluded, and he honestly had no desire to converse with anyone else.  He only saw people his own age at family gatherings, but even then they were a couple of years older than him and didn't particularly get along.  The time between his eleventh birthday and his entry to Hogwarts were the longest months of his life. Interested in music, he asked his father to teach him to play the piano.  He ended up devoting a deal of time to this hobby, sharing his passion for reading with that of music. When the day finally did come for him to leave for Hogwarts, he was bittersweet.  While the prospect of school greatly appealed to him, he didn't like change, and didn't want to leave his books and piano behind.

     years 1-3;;
Silus was nervous his entire way to Hogwarts, which he spent alone in his compartment on the express. He just knew that he would get into Ravenclaw; both of his parents had been in there and he showed true Ravenclaw qualities, but he knew that sometimes you didn't get what house you expected.  As long as he didn't get Hufflepuff, a house he had heard many a thing about, he decided that he would be fine.  As luck would have it though, no sooner had the Sorting Hat been placed on his head before it called out Ravenclaw.

Thanks to his parents and his avid reading, he believes that he was better prepared for his first year than some of the other students his age. He found himself at home in Charms and Transfiguration, and he absolutely loved History of Magic; a class that used more literature than the rest.  Although he wasn't the best at Defence Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures, he still put forth maximum effort and managed to pass.

Coming into his second year, he had gained a couple of friends, but not many.  He was more content to study and learn all that he could, then submit to the mindless socializing of some of his peers.  He started to spend more time in the library than anywhere else, immersing himself in the rare and old books that Hogwarts had to offer.  He wanted to go into the Restricted Section, but he would not resort to sneaking off at night to do that.

His third year came around, he had befriended a couple of students that shared the same passion for knowledge as he.  Third years began Divination, a class that Silus absolutely loathed.  He saw no logic in the nonsensical jumble of the constantly frazzled Professor, and didn't believe a word of what he called "bloody rubbish and a waste of class time."

years 4-7;;
Silus came back to school after the summer following his third year, excited to be back.  That summer, Silus had thought about instating a Study Group for devoted students like him.  He thought that it would be a good way to improve on the subjects that needed to be perfected, and perhaps find someone that shared his love of knowledge.  When school started, the Study group was a success, bringing in mostly Ravenclaws, but some Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors, and even the errant Slytherin.

His fifth year whizzed by him; nothing particularly eventful happened that year, so he remembers little of it of it. The things he does remember, have to do with the preparation for his O.W.L. exams. He stayed up studying every night for two weeks before the exams, and ended up acing nearly every one.

His sixth year, he was in his first relationship in his life; he began dating a fifth year Ravenclaw girl.  In his relationship with her, he realized that it was not a girl he wanted, but perhaps a boy.  He broke up with her, and they didn't talk much for the rest of the year, although they remained friendly.  Attempting to return his focus to academics, he did well in all of his classes, having dropped Divination.  However he was still confused about his sexuality, although he was fairly sure that he was gay.  As the rest of the year went on and finished, he was completely sure.

Silus took 5 NEWTS in his final year; Charms, Arithmancy, Transfiguration, History of Magic, and Ancient Runes.  After talking to his parents about it, he had decided that he was going to go into some kind of occupation involving history after graduating. By the end of the year, he was glad to be out of school; seven years there had taught him a lot, but now he needed to go learn on his own.

after schooling;;

After he received his N.E.W.T. results, Silus quickly looking for a job. He spent four years working with the Wizarding Examination Department, helping to create and grade the OWL and NEWT tests.  It challenged his brain to make questions that were suitable for the age, yet hard enough that they would have to try hard to ace said tests.  After those four years, he was assigned to issuing the Divination test.  Angry because it was a subject that he loathed, he went on a rant to his supervisor about how ridiculous it was, not realizing that the supervisor's aunt had been a renowned Seer.  He was promptly fired for his attitude, and he began looking for another job.

Jobs were scarce at this point, with most of the shops in Diagon Alley being taken over or destroyed by Death Eaters.  He went unemployed for two years after his job at the Ministry, because he didn't want to get in with the wrong sort, or drawn in to the dark lifestyle. After the Dark Lord had been vanquished, jobs began to come back, and he saw a sign in the old bookshop window in Diagon Alley, stating that they were hiring.  Promptly applying, Silus was hired for the job, and has been working there for four months now.  He has been promoted from stocker, to adviser, and finally to his current position; Assistant Manager.  He knows that with his qualifications he could get a far better job than this, but he truly enjoys being around books, and being around others that like them.  After coming across some particularly old thomes written in foreign languages, he took it upon himself to learn the delicate language of French, something that he had always wanted to do, and Latin, a noble language in itself.  He is well known to those who frequent the shop, and although he isn't outgoing, he will gladly volunteer information when asked.  He plans to stay at the shop for a while, taking in the experience. Silus stood behind the farthest bookshelf on the left, stocking the new supply of books that had come in today.  It was only July, but some of the coming year's school books were being shipped in. As he levitated the copies of Magical Theory by Adelbert Waffling onto the display, he noticed a couple of older looking books in the bottom of the box.  His black hair fell over his eyes like a curtain as he grabbed the novel at the bottom of the box.  Dangerous Minds, by Inya Binus.  Brushing the dust off, he gently opened the cover, taking in the old ink and thin pages.

Slowly leafing through the book, he realized that it referenced several documents that he had read before; historical thomes, written in Latin.  Inya Binus... where had he heard that name before?  Interested in both the topic and the familiar author, Silus set it aside and finished stocking everything else.  Looking around to make sure that his boss hadn't left him any other work, he settled into the worn leather chair in the corner and opened Dangerous Minds, ready for some light reading.

     Colour;; Ice blue, with darker, ocean blue lines around the edges.
     Shape;; Oval, of average size.
     Other;; Average sized eyebrows are straight rather than angled.

Hair:
     Colour;; Silver, with flecks remaining of brown, but only in the back.
     Length;; About an inch long, all around, except for the very front where the hair there is approximately two inches long.
     Style;; Leroy does nothing special with his hair, just leaving it as it lies and occasionally running a comb through it.
     Texture;; Leroy's hair appears, at a distance, to be coarse and/or stiff.  However, his hair is soft, and of medium body, not overly thick or thin.
Height: 6'0"
General Appearance: Leroy is a tall man, broad shouldered and intimidating.  He has a very angular face, with a chisled jaw and defined cheekbones.  Although his body is filled out enough to not be gaunt, shadows can cause him to look sallow.  His skin is somewhat pale and unblemished; no birthmarks, freckles, or anything else of the sort.  In his youth, he was very muscular and toned, but he lost most of the bulk as he got older.
Dressing Style: Leroy dresses for comfort and style, and he usually wears straight slacks or jeans, and a tight, plain color, crewneck shirt.  His outerwear consists almost solely of his worn out black tweed jacket which he rather enjoys, as it matches everything and keeps him warm.

General Character Traits:
     Sarcastic;; Leroy has an odd sense of humour, and what he finds to be funny usually comes off a biting remark.  His sarcasm can be meant as a joke or tease, but he also uses it when he is rather annoyed, and he really tries to get under the person's skin that is pissing him off.
     Brutally honest;; "Yes dear, you do look fat in that dress."  While Leroy would never call a woman 'dear,' or even be around for her to ask an opinion, this is exactly the type of comment that he usually says to people.  If he notices something, he speaks his mind.  Most people should be advised to never ask him 'the complete and honest truth.'  It will get them nowhere.
     Blunt and to the point;; When Leroy wants something, he isn't going to candy-coat it or try to give a false impression so he will get what he wants.  He finds that far too Slytherin-esque.  He prefers to just come out and say his intentions directly to a person's face, not caring about what they think.
     Nonsense;; Messing around or questioning authority is not something you want to do around Leroy.  His is completely no-nonsense; when it is a serious time, you sure as hell better act serious. He does not fool around when he has something to do, he just gets it done.
     Cold;;  Unless you are a close, trusted friend of Leroy's, then he acts very distant, cold, and sometimes mysterious (if not just to try to scare people.)
Likes:
     Women;; Leroy loves women, and anything to do with them.  He does not think of himself as a womanizer, but he can definitely come across as one.  He gets over broken relationships quickly and just moves right on to the next one.  He doesn't necessarily succeed in getting all the women that he wants, but her certainly tries. While he may be blunt, sarcastic, and rude, he puts on a bit of a "charmer" act around the ladies, and sticks to very temporary relationships.
     Blondes;; As an extention of the above, Leroy has a type, and that type is blondes.  While he has dated many redheads and brunettes as well, blondes are far more attractive to him in general.
     Confrontation;; Leroy loves a good argument, and any way to release frustration, so confrontations are something he goes looking for often.
     Power;; Holding authority is a thing that Leroy likes, and he needs to feel constantly in control of his situation.
Dislikes:
     Authority;; While Leroy enjoys having authority himself, he hates answering to it.  He often clashes with his superiors, which has sometimes caused him difficulty in the workplace.
     Cats;; Allergies, such as the one Leroy has regarding cat dander, make his nose itch ridiculously.
     Incompetence;; Being an intelligent man himself, Leroy finds it cumbersome when he cannot eloquently hold a conversation due to the incompetence of the other to which he is speaking.
     Disrespect;; 'Respect those who are in higher rank than you' was a principle drilled into Leroy's head at a young age, especially by his father.  Now a high ranking Unspeakable, he demands the same amount of high respect from his "inferiors."
Habits/Mannerisms: Leroy has a dreadful habit of biting his nails when he is stressed and/or bored.  When he is thinking hard about something, he rests his forehead on his hand and taps his face.  Leroy is also known for the icy glare he gives those he is really pissed at.
Strengths:
     Loyal;;  Leroy is a bit contradictory when it comes to this term that describes him.  When he doesn't know a person well, he is very flighty, and gives no commitment.  Once he trusts someone however, he is forever loyal to them unless they give him an overwhelming reason not to be.
     Brave;;  Not one to back down from any challenge, brave definitely describes this man.  Whether it is something unpleasant, but needs to be done, or something dangerous or scary, Leroy does not hesitate in jumping in to the action.  He likes to think of himself as fearless, and attempts to convey that with his actions.
     Strong;;  Strength is something Leroy prides himself in, both physically and mentally.  He allows himself to show no weakness; to others, or even himself.
     Intelligent;;  While he may not be the conventional genius child with perfect grades, Leroy is rather intelligent.  He is more street-smart than book-smart, although he knows a little about everything 'bookwise' as well.
     Focused;;  When something needs to be done by Leroy, it will get done, and in a timely manner.  Once he sets his mind to do something, he is incredibly focused, and will not rest until whatever he is working on is finished to his perfectionist standards.
Weaknesses:
     Stubborn;;  Leroy knows what he wants, but it does not benefit him as he would think.  His beliefs are set in stone, and he is extremely stubborn.  Unless the thought came from him, it is not a good idea.  Sometimes he even goes as far as to steal a person's idea and not give them credit for it, as he does not want to give them the 'satisfaction' of knowing that they were right.
     Impatient;;  Leroy wants to get things done in as little time as possible, and connot be bothered with every little detail.  He often gets very impatient with those he speaks and works with, because they simply function slower than he can stand.
     Brash;;  As mentioned earlier, Leroy speaks his mind.  Loudly.  And often.  While he may have good intentions (or sometimes not) with his 'cold hard truth' act, it almost always comes off as being just plain rude and spiteful.
     Intimidating;;  The steely exterior that Leroy puts up often intimidates/scares people, and it hinders him at some times.  He is often only nice to those whom he is friends with, and being all scary decidedly does not get him more friends in the world.
     Jumps to conclusions;;  Leroy's brain works on high speed, and he doesn't like to bothered with the (sometimes important) details.  Thus, he jumps to the first conclusion that makes sense to him, and sometimes it is right.  Other times, it is far off.

Pre-Birth
Abigail Harmen and Timothy Palmer, both Hogwarts graduates in the same year, met while in training for a career in the medicinal field.  Abigail had been wanting to pursue a career as a healer since she was small, and Timothy was interested in the opportunities the career would present him.  They were put together during a partner project, and they automatically took a liking to each other.  A steady friendship built between the two as the year went on, and continued even when Timothy decided that medicine wasn't his thing, and took up law.  They began a dating relationship, and four years after Abigail began her secondary education, Timothy proposed to her on the night of her graduation.  They got married that July, and 9 months later, their son Leroy Germaine Palmer was born on the eve of April.

Childhood;;
1947-1957
As a child, Leroy was very distant, and not very expressive with the finer emotions.  He would, however, get violent when he didn't get his way, and would often hit and fight anyone around him if he felt that they weren't giving him what he wanted.  In one of his more violent episodes, his first sign of magic was shown, at around age 6, as a dinner fork went flying towards his father for paying more attention to his newly born brother, Anthony, than him.  He didn't have many friends outside of the house, as he was often too abrasive for anyone to want to hang out with him.  His parents encouraged him to try to make friends, but it just wasn't his thing.

Hogwarts, Year 1;;
1958
Before he knew it, Leroy was off to Hogwarts.  Apprehensiveness hung around him the entire way to the school train, but as soon as he stepped inside the Express, he came off as "cool", arrogant and with "swagger."  He found a compartment with a few young kids like himself, and soon found out that the they were a tight knit group of second and third years, consisting of an equal amount of Slytherins and Ravenclaws.  He would have gotten along with them just fine; he shared their neopureblood ideals, but he didn't appreciate being talked to like an imbecile.  He was plenty intelligent, thank you very much!  Not wanting to get on anyone's bad side on his first day, he kept his mouth shut for a while, a rare feat for him.  Feigning admiration, he asked the older students about all of the houses.  He knew about Gryffindor the most, it was his mother's house, and the one he wanted to be in.  When he voiced this thought to his cab-mates, they scoffed and laughed.  Apparently, Gryffindors were "stupid and pompous, and only good at Quidditch."  Leroy's short fuse had been lit, and he jumped at the Slytherin boy that had been talking, and attempted to show him that 'Gryffindors are good at fighting, too.'  Needless to say, both boys were chastised, Leroy for fighting in general, and the other boy for using a hex, but he was cut some slack as it was his first day.

Once into the Great Hall, Leroy silently marveled at its beauty, before standing with the crowd of first years waiting to receive their house.  As soon as his name was called, Leroy hopped onto the chair to get Sorted, attempting to keep his face expressionless and not wanting to give away his inner anxiety.  The hat pondered for a bit, and debated over the three options, since Leroy was decidedly not kind and caring Hufflepuff material.  After what seemed like eternity, the hat called out his house, and elation filled his insides as he heard cheers from the Gryffindor table.

Leroy started off his first year with excitement, a rare emotion for him.  Of all the core classes, he enjoyed Defence Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic the most, and he loved Flying Class.  He got along with his housemates fairly well, but tended to only socialize with the Pureblood students, and all but avoided the Muggleborns.

Hogwarts, Year 2;;
1959
In Leroy's second year, one of his favorite classes, Flying, was not available for him to take, as he was a first year no longer.  Disappointed, he still worked on flying and even learned some of the basics of Quidditch with a few of the older Gryffindor boys with whom he had become acquainted.  While he did enjoy learning how to fly, he did not let it get in the way of his schoolwork.  Leroy discovered that he rather enjoyed Transfiguration and Charms, and made sure that he spent a good amount of time on each of the subject's homework.

Hogwarts, Year 3;;
1960
Beginning his third year, Leroy was set on trying out for the Quidditch team.  He wasn't quite sure which position he wanted quite yet, and he wanted to keep his options open.  He had saved up some money over the summer, and with a bit of financial aid from his parents, he bought himself a broomstick.  Confident in his flying abilities, he showed up on a rainy Saturday for tryouts, and the team captain took one look at him and laughed.  The players currently on the team were all very skilled, very muscular 6th and 7th years, and here he was, a scrawny little 3rd year, trying out for the team.  Leroy kept his head high and proceeded with the tryouts anyways, but he wasn't even given a second glance, and needless to say, he did not succeed in making the team.  Angry at being denied what he wanted, Leroy got into a heated argument with the captain, almost coming to blows before Leroy was held back by one of the team's beaters.

Hogwarts, Year 4;;
1961
By Leroy's fourth year, he had branched out quite a bit socially, but still was stuck in his Pureblood circle.  He would befriend a member of another house before even thinking about befriending even a Gryffindor Muggleborn.  However, this changed when he met Rachel Lewis, a petite blond girl in his house, a year below him.  He had to sit next to her in Charms one day, and couldn't take his eyes off of her.  He found her inherently beautiful, and from that moment he was set on pursuing her.  For the rest of the year, he showed off around her, flattered her, and tried to win her affections, but ultimately his efforts were ignored.  Finally, Leroy commandeered her in a hallway after class one day, and asked her to be his girlfriend.  She looked at him with her large blue eyes and told him that she couldn't date a boy that hated her.  Confused, Leroy asked what she meant.  She simply turned on her heel and walked away, before calling out 'I'm a Mudblood'  to him over her shoulder.  Leroy stood there in shock, and felt absolutely terrible.  Perhaps not all Muggleborns were bad after all.  From that day forth, Leroy was the definition of tolerance, standing up for Muggleborns and Half-Bloods, and he even signed up to take Muggle Studies in 5th year.

1962
Having publicly changed his opinions on blood status, Leroy tried his hand again at asking out Rachel.  This time, she said yes, and Leroy was walking on air.  He made sure everyone knew that the two were dating, talked about her all the time, and made sure that everyone knew that his girlfriend was better than theirs.  Given confidence by having what he wanted, Leroy worked out heavily throughout his entire 5th year, building up muscle and strength so that he could try out for the Quidditch team next year, and this time, he vowed that he would succeed.

Hogwarts, Year 6;;
1963
Having built up a considerable amount of muscle, Leroy sauntered onto the Quidditch Pitch for Gryffindor tryouts.  This time, he knew what he wanted; he wanted to be the starting chaser, and he would get it.  He gave a stellar performance at tryouts, and the captain gave him the spot he had been looking for.  The first game of the season, Leroy took to the skies and scored almost all of Gryffindor's points, except for the 150 awarded by the Seeker.  Confident, he did just as well his next game, and the one after that.  It couldn't get better for Leroy; he had a beautiful girl, he was a Quidditch star, he had grown into his looks and body so that he was now ruggedly handsome, and he had done great on his OWLs.  What more could he ask for?  Leroy's ego grew astronomically, and he became the "cool guy" in school.  Suddenly, his head was deflated quite a bit when Rachel dumped him out of the blue.  She claimed him to be to self-absorbed and immature, and she just didn't want a guy like that.  Angry at being left, Leroy became violent towards her, without really realizing what he was doing, and attempted to shake sense into her.  After he had suceeded in leaving bruises on her arms, she slapped him and ran away, and Leroy stormed off to his common room.

Hogwarts, Year 7;;
1964
Having awakened a violent nature in himself, Leroy took that trait to the Quidditch pitch, and was arguably the scrappiest, dirtiest player on the field.  He often got into fights with not only his opponents, but with his own team mates as well, and was removed from the game a couple of times for knocking other players purposely off their brooms.  Although Leroy's methods were questionable, the Gryffindor team went undefeated that year, and suceeded in winning the house cup. After taking his NEWTS, and feeling confident about those, Leroy attempted to relax the rest of the year, ready to graduate.

Young Adulthood;;
1965-1969
After graduation, Leroy really wasn't quite sure yet what he wanted to do with his life.  His parents consistently pressured him to become a Healer, to follow in their footsteps, so he reluctantly entered into a training program for prospective Healers.  He didn't mind the job all that much, surprisingly, although his short temper often got the better of him with practice patients.  Progressing through the program at a respectable rate, Leroy tried his hand at an internship opportunity, going to St. Mungo's to watch how the professionals went about doing their jobs.  The job shadowing went fairly well at first, as he watched minor injuries get healed, and then major injuries as well.  Leroy moved around, watching events on all four floors, before encountering 'The Incident' in Spell Damage.

An Auror was brought in with severe injuries sustained by a dark curse, and the ward was in a frenzy trying to tend to him.  Trying to stay out of their way, Leroy stood in a corner, watching the happenings from a distance and listening to what the Healer's were saying.  He found out that this particular Auror was already in poor health and was planning to retire from the job soon.  The Healers were working with the Mediwizards that had brought him to the hospital, and no one was quite sure which curse had been used on the poor man.  It was dark magic, indeed, and the condition of the patient got progressively worse.  Soon the man's breathing became very laboured and raspy, and Leroy watched, entranced, as the light left the man's eyes and he lay dead on the hospital bed.  Leroy had to shake himself out of a daze to realize what had happened.  He had enjoyed watching that man die, he had been hypnotized watching it.  He should have wept, he should have turned away, he should have felt bad.  But he didn't.  Something was wrong with him.  At that moment, Leroy decided that he couldn't continue this Healer training, he didn't want to do it anyways, and now he had a reason to quit.

Needing something to occupy his mind, Leroy looked for jobs for a bit, but couldn't really find a place that interested him.  His parents, not wanting to have an unemployed, unhappy son, talked him into getting a simple job working at a small shop in Diagon Alley.  While Leroy was happy with having a job in general, he abhorred having a job so common, with so little influence, a job where he didn't exactly fit it, and he couldn't show off his talents.

The First War;;
1970-1981
Leroy's mostly peaceful existence began to turn upside down roughly 6 years after graduating, at the age of 23.  There were rumors spreading about a Dark Wizard at the time, but just faint whispers.  As time went on, the whispers were no longer quiet; everyone seemed to know about this dark person, hiding in the shadows.  The Dark Wizard's name was Voldemort, and he was gathering up followers, called Death Eaters.  At the beginning, Leroy didn't take the rumours too seriously, but fear and hysteria were mounting as Voldemort gained power.  By the time Leroy began to worry, Monika was in her last year of schooling, and Anthony had graduated just last year.  Concerned for his family, Leroy told his parents to stay at home in Welshpool, and kept in contact with Monika at Hogwarts, making sure that she was keeping herself safe.  He also tried to show concern for Anthony, but for some reason unbeknownst to Leroy, Tony had changed somehow.  He didn't want Leroy's concern; he was off on his own now.  Trying to keep his own life normal, Leroy didn't think much of it, and assumed it had something to do with the rumours.

By the time Leroy turned 33, Voldemort and his followers were at the peak of their reign of terror.  People in Britain were afraid to leave their homes, and muggleborns and opposers of the "Dark Lord's" movement were being truck down by the hundreds.  Monika had moved back to his parents's house, and thee family urged him to go with them to stay safe.  Wanting to be brave and stay in the action, he chose to stay in London, working in Diagon Alley so that he could see and hear the goings on.  In mid 1981, right before the fall of You-Know-Who, Leroy's shop had been victim of a Death Eater siege.  He and the other employees were dragged out into the street and interrogated by the horrible masked men with the snake skull tattoos on their arms.  As the Death Eater's spoke, Leroy thought that one of them, the smaller one, sounded vaguely familiar, but he couldn't place the voice.  Pretending to be scared and compliant, Leroy waited until the smaller one turned around before lunging on top of him, and scratching at his silver mask.  The Man he was on top of fought back, but Leroy succeeded in knocking his mask off.  Victorious, Leroy jumped back and looked into the eyes of... Anthony.  Shocked, Leroy began to feel faint, and fell backwards slowly, right as the other Death Eater fired off a Killing Curse directly at him.  Ducking quickly, Leroy lied down flat to the ground, and watched his own brother fall in a glow of green light.  Filled with rage, confusion, and who knows what else, Leroy jumped on top of his brother's killer, and beat him nearly senseless, before Leroy dazedly stood up, and promptly fell back down as he passed out.  He awoke three days later in a bed at St. Mungo's, where he was being treated for injuries sustained while fighting.  The whole hospital staff was rejoicing; Voldemort had fallen!  But Leroy couldn't feel anything at the moment.  He was still in shock over his brother's betrayal.

Adult Life;;
1982-1995
Angry at himself, Anthony, Voldemort, and the world in general, Leroy's previously intermediate violent streak came back with a vengeance after the war ended.  Having seen his own brother die in front of him, his fascination with death grew stronger.  He became a self-proclaimed monster of sorts; finding small animals in secluded areas, and killing them in various ways, watching how the light dissapeared from their eyes.  He soon moved on to bigger animals, transfixed by the concept of life ending.  He knew it was wrong and unhealthy, but he couldn't stop himself.

One night, in a forested grove, Leroy had found a deer and killed it.  Usually, he used his wand, seeing as how he was, indeed, a wizard.  This time however, he wanted to see if there was a difference in how a creature died.  He used relashio to bind the animal, before proceeding to stab it with a stick he had transfigured into a dagger.  Intrigued after commiting the deed, Leroy stayed next to the poor animal, coruched, but suddenly heard footsteps behind him. Whirling around and preparing himself for a fight, his wand flew out of his hand with a twitch of the arm of the shadowy figure now in front of him.  It was a man, who promptly introduced himself as Draven Cromwell, an Unspeakable from the Ministry of Magic.  Draven removed his hood, and looked at the dead animal on the ground, and at Leroy's dirty hands, before nodding with satisfaction.  Confused, Leroy cautiously asked the man why he was was there, and what he wanted.  Draven  told Leroy that he had been keeping tabs on him, watching him for a while now, and admired his 'affinity for death.'  He told Leroy that there was a job opening at the ministry, a very classified position in the Department of Mysteries.  He told Leroy that hid background had been checked, his records gone through, and that he believed that Leroy would be perfect.  Intrigued, Leroy asked for details about this mysterious job.  Draven told him that he had to accept the job before he could be told anything, and Leroy cautiously nodded his head; yes, he would go for it.

Swiftly grabbing Leroy's arm, Draven apparated them away without any explanation.  When they arrived at their destination, Leroy looked around in puzzlement.  The hall they were in was dark and metallic seeming, with an odd, blue tinted glow from above being the only source of light.  Wordlessly, Draven led Leroy to a sinister looking door, one floor to ceiling and pitch black, with no handle, and with disturbing and graphic etchings covering its entire surface.  Draven turned to Leroy, and matter-of-factly told him to place his hand on the door.  Taking a few steps forward, Leroy did so, and the door made an awful creaking sound, before seeming to melt away.

Even now that the door was open, Leroy could not see anything past where he was standing; whatever was past the doorframe was pitch black and menacing.  Draven nudged him forward, and Leroy tentatively took a step inside the room.  Behind the door was a barren, almost jail cell like room, with no windows and only one other door.  The floors and walls were polished black stone, with no adornments of any kind.  There wre only two things in the room, in the very center.  A single chair, made of dark metal and what looked to be bone detailing sat in front of a black stone archway that took very little of the room.  Confused, Leroy turned to Draven, wondering what exactly he was to do.  Draven simply pointed at the arch, and lifted his chin towards it.  Slowly, Leroy stepped toward the mysterious thing, and as he got closer, he realized that it wasn't just an arch; it had some sort of foglike somethingorother taking up the space of the arch. Quickening his steps, he stopped, a foot away from the mysterious thing, and peered into it.  What he saw was indescribable.

It felt as if he was experiencing a Dementor; the air was cold and lifeless, chilling him to the bone.  But he saw people, like ghosts almost, but not tangible seen; just wisps.  He couldn't even tell if what he was seeing was actual faces, or glimpses of their life, of their personality.  There was an infinite number of them, continuously rising up from an area that seemed to have a never ending depth to it, but when looked at from the side, the arch was only 6 inches deep.  Leroy could not comprehensively see what was going on, but he felt it, like the spirits were climbing inside of him, and he was one with them for a spilt second, living their life and death, before a new one took its place.  Mind being sent into overload, Leroy staggered back, and sank to the floor, breathing heavily and not entirely understanding.  He looked back to Draven, who was still standing by the door with a slightly bemused expression.

Draven took a few slow strides towards Leroy, before beginning to talk in a slow voice.  Leroy listened with rapt attention as Draven told him the details of the room, the ones that were known, at least.  The Death Chamber, as it was called, embodied lifelessness.  The place that Leroy had peered into was simply called 'The Vault.'  No one is exactly sure if it is a person's soul, spirit, or something else that resides there.  It is also unknown how a certain essence ends up there, as not all dead people end up there; it seems to be at random.  The Vault is immeasurable; it is neverending, and holds an infinite amount.  The spirits, souls, or whatever they may be are called Shadows, collectively, and they are the main way that the concept of Death is studied.  Draven went on to tell Leroy that there is only one 'Shadowkeeper' at a time, and that the Shadows will respond only to the Shadowkeeper.   For the Shadowkeeper to collect research material, they approach the Vault, and speak what they want.  At that point, they can attempt to communicate with the Shadow(s) to retrieve information.  However, the means of communication are very abstract, mostly involving the Shadwkeeper experiencing only snippets of often blurry memories.  It is almost always very difficult for the Shadowkeeper to get a definite answer, if an answer at all.  Mostly the questions asked involve limbo, why there are only certain Shadows in the vault, and the nature of death in general.  As Draven concluded, something clicked in Leroy's mind, and he understood.  Draven gave a wry smile of satisfaction, and had Leroy follow him to the Outer Ministry to officially get hired.

Leroy soon grew comfortable with his job, and enjoyed his research, no longer feeling overwhelmingly violent now that he had an outlet.  It was interesting for him, to feel what death felt like, a seemingly inconceivable feat.  Being a Shadowkeeper, even just being an Unspeakable, thrilled him, by giving him authority, mystique, power, everything he wanted.  For some reason however, it never occurred to him, until he somehow felt the presence of his brother, that he could see Anthony's Shadow.  Leroy has never attempted contact with Anthony's Shadow, although Anthony's Shadow has tried to communicate with him.  A Shadow doesn't have much power, however, and so Leroy has easily ignored it, because he does not want to face the feelings that his brother indirectly gives him.

Through work, he met another Unspeakable, one that worked in the Love Department, and more specifically, the Ever-Locked room.  The semi-coworker, Gawain McEntyre, was a nice guy, younger than Leroy by a long shot, and he was surprisingly interesting.

The Second War;;
1996-1997
When Leroy heard news of the Dark Lord's return, he was overcome with a sense of dread.  He couldn't watch another person he cared about die!  And so he immersed himself in his work, virtually closing himself off to the outside world.  As more people were struck down by the evil movement, there were more Shadows to research entering the Vault, and Leroy welcomed the overtime for once.  Even when the Ministry fell to the Dark movement, the Death Chamber was so secure and classified that he wouldn't be bothered, so he just stayed there.  Glad that he had implemented a couch in his office connected to the Vault room, he transfigured it into a bed, and literally lived there in Voldemort's final months of rule.  He would only leave when absolutely necessary, to stock up on essentials and food, and would do his best to avoid the wrong people.  After what seemed like eternity, he exited the Chamber one day to find elation; the bastard was done for, once and for all this time.

Current Events;;
1998
Currently, Leroy is focusing on his job, which has been full of new discoveries as of late, due to the large amount of deaths to work with and study, and he has the Battle to thank for that. Hearing of Monika's impending marriage, and learning more about love through his socializing with Gawain, he now subconsciously wants to settle down, if anyone will have him.

Scritch, scritch, scritch.  Leroy's quill formed a nearly unintelligible scrawl of words upon his parchment, detailing the latest, although sparse amount, of his research.  Sidenotes and shorthand began to fill the margin of the page, and Leroy could have continued all night with speculation, but his hand began to cramp.  Wincing a bit, he finished his sentence before cracking his knuckles and placing his quill back in its resting spot.  Rolling up the parchement and tying it with twine, he stood up and stretched ut his back, then walked across the spacious office to the cabinet where he kept his files.  Slipping it into an empty spot, labeled with today's date, turned and walked out of the office, turning the light off and closing the door, before taking his nightly spot in 'The Chair,' as he always did before he was planning to leave work in the evening.

He wasn't quite sure why he gave the chair a name; it was the only chair, let alone piece of furniture at all in the whole main chamber.  But the chair was his, his spot of solace, yet uneasiness, and it was a contradiction in itself.  It was a chair, yes, but it was made of bone.  What kind of bone, Leroy was not certain, but he honestly didn't care.  And yet, the chair, made of metal and bone, and nothing else, was unexpectedly comfortable.  Leroy told himself that the comfort level of the chair was the reason he sat there every night like clockwork, but it was unhealthy to lie to one's self.  He knew why he really sat there.  He hoped to see the Shadow of Anthony, but when he did, he would turn away, just as contradictory as the chair. General Appearance:
Rooney is tall and slender, with smooth and tanned skin. Her heart shaped face is balanced with large eyes and large lips, and a small nose.  Her smile is wide, with a small gap between the two front teeth.  Rooney doesn't usually wear makeup, because she thinks it is too girly.  If she ever does however, it is just simple lip gloss, foundation, or blush.  Rooney also likes to paint her fingernails in bright, neon colors with patterns over that often clash, just to show her quirky side.
Dressing Style:  Rooney wears clothes for comfort, but also for style.  She favours the "rocker" look; tight jeans, loose t-shirts, and flat soled tennis shoes.  However, these clothes aren't always appropriate in the wizarding world, so she will begrudingly wear robes when needed, but only if they are unique.  Her favorite colors to wear are usually bright and rich, or black.  Although her appearance isn't her highest priority, Rooney does like to look nice and wouldn't be seen walking about looking like a bum.  Rooney is a tomboy all the way, and is hardly ever seen in any skirts of dresses, outside of the ones used for uniforms, of course.

General Character Traits:
     tomboy;; Growing up with just her dad, Rooney wasn't exposed to much true femininity as a kid.  Everything around her was rock and roll; grunge type clothes, activities, and moods, so she just picked up on it when she was young.
     kind;; Rooney has a large capacity for kindness.  She doesn't like to pick fights with people; she would rather have peace on Earth.  She is very laid-back, so you can't really piss her off, and she never fires back insults if they are said to her; she just blows them off.
     grounded;; While her dad may have been a celebrity, and her family may have been filled with eccentrics, Rooney has never let it affect her.  She stays grounded, calm, and collected, and her dad has been known to call her "The Hippie."
     family oriented;; Family has always been a big part of the Perkins' lifestyle, what with her dad's nine siblings, and her Grandmother's extended family.  She cares very much for her family, as they have always helped her out, and she is very loyal to them.
     outgoing;; While she may be grounded, Rooney is by no means a quiet or shy girl.  She is overtly friendly, acting like the stranger she just met has been her best friend for years.  Shyness is a lost concept with her; she has so much outgoing energy, she has no time to be quiet and contained.
Likes:
     music;; Rather obviously, Rooney likes music.  Dexter has introduced her to every genre imaginable, and she likes all of them.  Not only does she like to listen to music, she likes to make it as well.  She sings, and plays electric guitar and drums, just like her daddy.
     jeans;; Rooney has always been intrigued by muggle fashions, especially jeans.  She likes the style, the look, and the way they fit better than robes or slacks or something like that.
     animals;; Care of Magical Creatures is Rooney's favorite subject, and she absolutely loves animals.  Dogs, cats, reptiles, horses, centaurs, unicorns, hippogriffs; you name it, she loves it.
Dislikes:
     robes;; Rooney dresses casually, and she absolutely dreads having to wear robes, because they make her feel really girly, and they restrict her movement.
     stuffy people;; Having fun is one of Rooney's main goals in life.  If life isn't fun, then what's the point?  'Scaredy cats,' and people that don't want to risk an adventure or let loose, come across as a waste to Rooney.
     pureblood supremacy;; Being a very tolerant young lady, and having a Muggle mother, Rooney can't even begin to grasp the concept of pureblood supremacy.  Anyone who holds that viewpoint is automatically on Rooney's bad side, which is hard to get on usually.
Habits/Mannerisms:
     biting her nails;; Rooney has a dreadful habit of biting her nails, something she has been doing since childhood.  Dexter does it when he gets nervous or is thinking hard, so she is pretty sure that she picked it up from him.
     humming;; Being so connected to music, Rooney always has a tune running through her head.  She often hums absentmindedly, usually while doing tedious things, like schoolwork or cleaning the house.
     tapping her hands and feet;; With so much bubbly energy, Rooney needs to let it out somehow, and when she is at school, or somewhere where she needs to be in one place, she taps her hand and feet so she can kept the rest of herself still.
Strengths:
     good friend;; Remarkably loyal and attached to those she cares about, Rooney is a very good friend, sticking by people even at the worst of times.
     accepting/tolerant;;  Knowing that her mother was a muggle, Rooney is very acceptant and tolerant of all blood statuses, and that thought process extends to other 'differences' as well.  She will never discriminate against someone for something like blood status that is out of their control.
     mature;;  Rooney is remarkably mature for her age.  While she may have a bubbly personality, she knows what the right thing to do is, and that mixed with the tolerance mentioned above, sometimes makes her seem older than she is.
Weaknesses:
     procrastinator;;  When it comes to schoolwork, Rooney has other things on her mind, things far more exciting than the history of a spell.  She often puts of work until the last minute, and crams the night before an assignment is due.
     troublemaker;;  She doesn't try to, but Rooney is very god at stirring up trouble.  It is often harmless; just her being the class clown, but she is by no means a rule-follower.
     low attention span;; Rooney gets easily distracted by even the smallest of things, and it can make her seem bubble-brained and/or flighty, when she really isn't.

Background Story:

     pre-birth;;
Dexter Perkins, at this point in his life, was a very well known musician in the wizarding world but not the same could be said for the muggle realm. When out in muggle London he was just another tall long haired stranger with too many tattoos. Being that Sheldon's side of the family did not have any magical blood, Dexter was well used to being around the drastic culture, so blending in became easy. One particular evening when Dexter was in his late twenties, the man and a few of his cousins when out galavanting in muggle London. One bar they stopped in was having an open mic night in which anyone could get on stage and share their skills - or lack thereof. It didn't take much coercion from the guys to get Dex on stage, after all, it was where he spend most of his time. The musician practically played a whole set of music that, the crowd was so pleased that a performing has some real talent they wouldn't let him stop. During his half hour on the stage a particular blonde caught his attention because she was the only person not completely enamored with him. That alone was enough to make Dexter approach the tall blue eyed woman who introduced herself as Ashlyn Ross.

To say that Dexter had to chase this particular female was an understatement - flowers, letters and gifts were sent for weeks before she finally agreed to go on a date with him. Dexter knew that he couldn't just put the whole truth of lineage out there, and before he knew it their relationship had progressed to something far more serious than he planned initially. The man was head over heels, but clearly torn because he knew the truth would have to be shared sooner or later; Dexter was hiding a huge part of himself from the person he cared so much for. Just as Dex had mustered up enough courage to finally come clean, Ashlyn had a surprise of her own to share - she was two months pregnant with his child.

Dexter had mixed feelings on the pregnancy - on one hand the prospect of a child in his life was absolutely terrifying, but on the other he was ecstatic to start a normal family life with Ashlyn. The man had decided to put off telling his secret to his girlfriend for fear that it would mess up how good things were going between them. Being an immature minded individual, Dexter had declared that keeping it from her longer was the right decision to be making even though it was far more difficult. The touring wizard musician had told Ashlyn that he worked for a record label in London, and was frequently gone on business trips with bands on the label. The lie sufficed for the duration of the early stages of their relationship, but as things progressed and Ashlyn got farther into her pregnancy, she began to question why the father wasn't around more. The English woman knew that something wasn't quite right, and was often question Dexter's faithfulness and commitment to the budding family. This caused major problems in an already fractured relationship - fights were frequent between the two because of Dexter' inability to tell the whole truth.

When the time came for Ashlyn to give birth to their child, Dexter was in Scotland playing a sold out concert. The man hadn't planned to miss the birth of his daughter, as far as he knew it would be another two weeks before Rooney was joining the world. Turns out the infant wasn't much different then her mother, always finding a way to surprise Dexter. The twenty-nine year old rushed back to Ashlyn's flat in London as soon as he got the news. The man couldn't even enjoy meeting his daughter for the first time, because her mother accosted him about his whereabouts the second he stepped through the door. The unexplainable joy he felt holding his only child in his arms couldn't even be ruined by the yelling of his girlfriend in the background. Dexter realized, as he studied his newborn, that he had to come clean - so he did, Dexter told Ashlyn everything there was to know. Confusion quickly turned into tears which morphed into anger and before he knew it, Dexter was left with only his baby girl.

Ashlyn couldn't bear the fact that the man she loved had been lying to her for nearly two years and picked up her belongings and left to live with her family. After months of arguments all coming to a head, the woman couldn't handle the drastic change that he dropped on her. Ashlyn left Rooney with her father because of the high chance that she too might become a wizard when she was older. Dexter was naturally devastated by this and took up living in his mother and fathers home. The musician had no idea how to care for Rooney so his parents' help was greatly appreciated.

     childhood;;
Rooney grew up as a in an enormous family, with 9 aunts & uncles and her grandparents taking part in her life.  From a very young age, Rooney loved her grandmother, Gertie.  The woman was eccentric, hilarious, and all around unique, and Rooney spent tons of her time with her while her dad was out making music.  Dexter and Rooney had a very close relationship, being just the two of them at their house when the family wasn't over.  Gertie taught her some of the more girly things, while Dex introduced her to music.  And music became Rooney's obsession.  As she got older, Dex would take her on tours with him, and teach her what he knew.  She learned to play guitar at age 7, and being the outgoing kid that she was, would play for people at family gatherings, starting with simple songs and getting progressively more dexterous on the instrument.  Music was so important to her, that it was part of her first sign of magic at age 9.  She had been sitting on her bed and thinking up a new riff to play, when the guitar magically began to play exactly the melody that she was thinking, without her touching it.  After excitedly telling Dexter, Rooney ran back to her room, trying to replicate the feat.

     hogwarts, year one;;
Eager to begin her first year of schooling, Rooney excitedly hopped on board the Hogwarts Express on September 1st, two months after she had turned 11.  Anxious, she sat the entire ride in the corner of her cab, jittery with anticipation.  Upon reaching the school, she, along with the other first years, got into the boats and headed towards the castle.  Striking up a conversation with a girl who was in the same boat, Rooney settled some of her nerves by babbling on about her expectations for Hogwarts.

Awestruck by the magnificent Great Hall, Rooney almost forgot that she was to be sorted until Professor McGonagall called her name.  Taking a steadying breath, Rooney stepped up to the stool and the hat was placed on her head.  The hat debated between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, and eventually called out the house she was to be in; Gryffindor, her father's house.  Elated, Rooney took a seat with her housemates, and watched with attention as the Headmaster spoke.  To Rooney, it was awesomeness at first sight.  The beard, the cliche wizard robes, the half-moon glasses; Headmaster Albus Dumbledore was friggin' cool.

Beginning the school year, Rooney realized that she had a 'green thumb,' and was a natural in herbology.  She loved the class, and appreciated the praise she was given.  Talking to some of the older people in her house, she was told that Defence Against the Dark Arts was one of the best classes.  Excited by everything she had heard, she showed up to her first DADA with wand in hand, ready to go.  She was taken aback when an apparently new professor clad in godawful pink fuzz told Rooney's class that she was from the Ministry and that she was reforming Hogwarts.  Rooney didn't take it to mean anything, until this Professor Umbridge lady told everyone that they wouldn't be using their wands.  Rooney was thoroughly disappointed, and shared her lamentations with the person that happened to be sitting closest to her, a third year Gryffindor named Pippa Harrington.  By the end of the year however, Umbridge had dissapeared, and Rooney ended her first year with a good taste in her mouth.

     hogwarts, year two;;
Entering her second year, Rooney was a little bit nervous; it had been proven that the evil dark wizard, You Know Who, was indeed back, and had attacked a now 6th year Gryffindor named Harry Potter and his friends at the end of the last term.  Rooney was a little bit scared for her safety, but she knew that with ole' Dumbledore heading the school, all of the students were safe.  At the beginning of term dinner, Rooney was elated to find out that the pink monster was no longer teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts, and that they could finally do magic in the class!  Her happiness sunk a bit however, when she found out that the new teacher was none other than Professor Snape, her least favorite teacher, who up until now had taught Potions, her least favorite class.  Hoping for the best and trying to keep an optimistic outlook, Rooney walked through the dark doors of the now decidedly not pink classroom, and prepared herself for the lessons.  She made an acquaintance in Lynette Kinsey, who's father had apparantly crafted Rooney's dining room side table.

The year went by just fine, until the sudden chaos at the end of term.  Rooney had been in her dorm, when she heard screams from downstairs and rushed down to the common room, to see the Dark Mark leering at them from outside the window.  Rooney tried, but not successfully, to calm her housemates down, but inwardly, she was terrified herself.  Grabbing the rest of the younger kids, she went and hid with all of them in one of the dorms, just in case something were to happen.  By the time that the siege on the castle was complete, Rooney's idol, Dumbledore, had been killed.  Rooney simply followed all of the other students thoughtlessly out to give a wandlight vigil to his body.
Heading home that term, she was numb the whole way back, not knowing what exactly to do or think.

     hogwarts, year three;;
Dark times were a'brewing at Hogwarts, and Rooney was scared of those who were supposed to protect her; her professors.  Amycus and Alecto Carrow were horrible, horrible people.  All students had to take Muggle Studies with Alecto, and it was all Rooney could do not to get up and run when they spoke about Muggles like they were filth, and her own mother was a muggle.  If there was one bright spot in the school year, it was Care of Magical Creatures.  Hagrid, one of her favorite adults on campus, was no longer teaching the subject, but the animals were her solace.  One day in class, she met Faedra Wixson, a 5th year Gryffindor and the two tended to hang out together during class time from then on.

School simply drudged on for Rooney, never really getting better or worse, until Harry Potter returned to Hogwarts to challenge Voldemort.  The Battle that ensued was terrifying, but Rooney wanted to get into the action.  She just floated around the school, occasionally shooting a spell at a random evildoer, just trying to be helpful.  She did succeed in hitting a Slytherin, conversing with a Death Eater, square in the back with a disarming spell, knocking him down.  Happy with her effort, she continued on trying to be of use.  After the Battle, Voldemort was dead, but so were alot of the students.  Saddened by the events, Rooney returned home after the Battle to recuperate with her family, before returning to join in the rebuilding efforts.

     current;;
Now in her 4th year, Rooney is trying really hard to rebuild a sense of normalcy in her life.  Dex released a new single, inspired by the War, and that has gained her some popularity for those who know who her dad is.  One person who seems to haave noticed her lately, and almost entirely just because of her father, is Ash McFarlane, a 7th year Slytherin boy.  He is always badgering her for memorabilia and saying that it is for his sister, but Rooney is pretty sure it's just for him.  She is also becoming friends with  Aliya Lane, who is a year above her and whom Rooney has a lot in common with.

Tap-ta-tap.  Tap-ta-tap.  Tap-ta-ta-tap-ta-ta-tap.  Rooney was absentmindedly drumming along to the song on the radio whilst attempting to do her homework.  Really, she had far more exciting things to do than write a 17 inch essay on some random historical wizard.  She sighed and set her pencil down, already bored with the assignment.  Stretching and pushing herself off of her bed, she thumped onto the floor, still clad in her sneakers.  Tossing her long hair behind her shoulder and combing through it a bit with her fingers, she straightened her loose shirt, emblazoned with the Weird Sisters logo, and headed out of the dorm room.  It was late afternoon, and the sun wasn’t quite setting yet, but it was low in the sky.  A perfect day for being outside.  Thinking for a moment, Rooney headed back to her dorm room, grabbed her guitar and a notepad, and went back to where she had been before.

Only a few minutes later, she was making her way across the courtyard singing to herself, with her  guitar slung over her back.  Flipping said instrument over her body and pulling it to the front, Rooney slowed her pace while thinking of the beat she had been tapping earlier.  With an experimental strum, She was suddenly inspired with a direction to go.  C major chord, G major chord pinkie variation, F minor chord, E minor chord, double strum, repeat.  Smiling to herself as she reached the lakeside, she sat down and began playing that pattern through her head as she strummed, writing down her melody as she went.

     length;; Just reaches his chin.
     style;; Wavy and loose.  Yazko takes great pride in his hair, and secretly uses women's hair products to give it "volume and shine."
     texture;; Thick and soft
Height: 5'9"
General Appearance: Zhelyazko is an moderately short man with a muscular build.  He has tanned, olive toned skin, with a spattering of stubble that will often manifest itself into a goatee of sorts.  He has a chiseled jawline and thick eyebrows that can come across as looking very stern and angry.  However, when one takes in Yazko's face as a whole, his nose, eyes, and full lips seem to carry an air of innocence.  This, paired with his cocky, handsome half-smile, gives him an air of charm that he uses to his advantage.  Traveling further down Yazko's body, one can tell that he takes great pride in his appearance.  Very much a metrosexual, though he won't admit it, there is a lack of body hair on his arms, chest, or back. The only "blemish" on Zhelyazko's skin is the scar on his left forearm where his dark mark used to be, though he thinks of it as something to be proud of.
Dressing Style: Zhelyazko's dressing style can best be described as aristocratic.  He loves expensive things, and will purposely buy the most expensive things he can get his hands on, if only to flaunt his money.  He makes use of tailored outfits, often made with the finest of fabrics.  Embellishments are definitely his friend, and he uses them to draw attention to himself.  He also prefers either dark colors or strong, royal hues, nothing neon or anything like that.  He tries not to be caught in the same outfit twice, but he does have a mid-thigh-length black peacoat that he is quite partial to.  Accessories are his favorite part of his wardrobe, and he has drawers full of bracelets, necklaces, and rings that he often wears, along with scarves and his large collection of Italian shoes.

General Character Traits: Zhelyazko is a very outgoing person.  He loves being around people, as long as he can get their attention.  He is obviously conceited, this much can be told from his apparel to the way that he talks about himself.  He is a horrible flirt, relishing the attention of a pretty woman.  Yazko never lets anything get farther emotionally than flirting however, because he is a player, for lack of other terms, who just likes to use women.  He will string them on, make them feel wanted, and then once he gets what he wants, he will leave without a second thought.  He even has the nerve to think that these woman should be thanking him, for him "giving them a taste of the best."  Along the lines of Zhelyazko treating women like crap, he honestly treats everybody like crap.  Yazko is a sadist, and proud of it.  He loves watching people in pain, emotional or physical, and will do anything to get under their skin and make them squirm.  He is violent and hot-tempered, and often lashes out physically for the smallest of reasons.  He does not care who he hurts, as long as the person he is hurting cannot administer punishment.  Furthermore, Zhelyazko is an elitist to the highest degree.  In his opinion, nothing is better than anything he is, regarding pretty much anything.  He does not so much dislike or frown upon those "lesser" than him, as he does vehemently hate them.  He believes that women are forever inferior to men, and he will stop at nothing to rid the world of those unpure of blood.  However, he does have a few redeeming qualities, that he only shows to those that he really trusts.  He is rather sensitive when it comes to his appearance, as it is ot something that he can control, but he doesn't like anyone to know that.  Also, in regards to those he really and truly cares about (there are very few of those) he can be self-sacrificing, doing anything to make them happy or proud.
Likes:
     women;; Simply put, Zhelyazko is a manwhore.  He loves women of any size, shape, ethnicity, appearance, and background, (as long as their blood is pure, mind you), and is a 'skirt-chaser' extraordinaire.  However, he sometimes flirts with men, just to see the reaction that ensues.
     money;; Raised in a rich family, Yazko can't imagine living a life without money.  He enjoys the respect, however misplaced, it gives him, and how it makes him better than others (in his opinion).
     ivana;; Though he refuses to admit it, Zhelyazko thinks of his dearest Ivana as more than just a useless sex object, and he actually has deep feelings for her that he is currently trying to repress.
     exersize;;  Yazko is very concerned with his appearance, so he exercises a lot.  However, he actually enjoys doing so, especially lifting dead weights and running.
Dislikes:
     impurity;; Yazko absolutely loathes muggles, mudbloods, blood traitors, and even half-bloods at times.  To him, they are wastes of space who are intent on ruining everything that the purebloods, saviors of the wizarding world, have so graciously provided them.
     deep thinking;;  Lazy as Zhelyazko is, he detests anything that requires him to put for brain power and actually think.  This is why his grades in school were below average in academic classes, but high in physical ones.
     dogs;;  For some reason, Zhelyazko has an irrational fear of dogs.  Put a canine in front of him, and he will be very nearly indistinguishable from a terrified little girl, though he will try to hide that.
Habits/Mannerisms:  Zhelyazko has a weakness for alcohol, and can be a very heavy drinker at times.  He also has been known to smoke and do drugs, depending on the company he is with.  Yazko also has some kind of thing for manscaping.
Strengths:
     cunning;;  Yazko is incredibly cunning and sneaky when it comes his actions, in all parts of his life. He has become quite good at at manipulating others to get what he wants, quite often without them realizing it. He plays mind games with people, especially women, almost just for the fun of it.  It is particularly helpful and practical however, in his Death Eater activities.
     persistent;; Almost to a fault, Zhelyazko does not give up on chasing after what he wants. It does not matter how overwhelmingly the odds are against him, or how many times he has failed in the past, Yazko, if he truly wants it, will not let it go. He believes that the end justifies the means, and doesn't care what he does to get there, as long as he gets what he wants.
     charming;;  Yazko has a gift of persuasiveness, using his guile and charm to get what he wants.  His charm helps him to feign innocence, talk his way out of things, hook up with a date, or maybe get Ivana to sleep with him(;
     loyal;;  When it comes to those that he cares about, Zhelyazko is fiercely loyal.  It takes a while to get past his shell and get him to like you, but once you get to him, he will be loyal for a long, long time.
Weaknesses:
     coward;;  Zhelyazko may be a Death Eater, but he is by no means as tough as he makes himself out to be.  He acts as if he is the biggest, baddest, and greatest, mostly to preserve his reputation, but if it came down to it, Yazko would flee without even looking back.
     conceited;; There is no hiding it, Yazko is just plain full of himself.  His attitude suggests that he believes himself to be better than those around him, and well, he does think that. He is haughty, arrogant, and cocky, and sees nothing wrong with that.
     lazy;; Zhelyazko, having grown up in a privileged household, is used to having people wait on him and do all of his dirty work for him.  Thus, he is almost infeasibly lazy, and wants no part in anything that takes hard work or manual labour.
     untrusting;; For some reason, Zhelyazko has major trust issues.  He tried not to let anybody get too close to him, and hates it when he himself gets close to others .

Background Story:

     family history;;
Zhelyazko's late grandfather, Alek Zichtermann, graduated at the top of Klyk Vampira with the highest marks possible in Alchemy, Curses and Hexes, and Dark Flora and Fauna.  Analyzing his talents and interests, Alek decided that he would like to pursue Potionmaking as a career.  Soon after graduation, his father died and left Alek the contents of his will, Alek's mother having left his father when the boy was 6.  Investing this money in a workshop, Alek began experimenting with potions.  He found a revolutionary way to make potions more potent, and in some cases deadly, by studying how runes could affect them.  He also found a way to make his potions last longer, but it was a complicated process. After over a year of producing stock of his prized potion and others, he finally opened a shop in Berlin.

Over the years of Alek's life, the business gained notice, and Alek met quite a few customers into Dark Magic.  Keeping up with their orders, he churned out potions of all sorts, those that could mimic complex spells, with enough magical effort.  His increased production and alliance with the darker side of the magical world drew progressively darker customers to his shop, and they would pay high price for what they wanted, if no questions were asked.  Seeing dollar signs, Alek helped them with their pursuits, no matter how nefarious.  Customers were drawn to the helpful man who didn't ask questions, and half the time agreed with the going ons.

By the time his son Deyan was born, Alek had racked up a nice amount of money, but put most of it away in savings. When Deyan was old enough, he joined in the business and opened another location, in Austria.  The total profits were adding up quickly, and Alek now felt that he could take a risk with it.  He began outsourcing his potions, but not their procedures, to potion shops all over Europe.  This way, in order to get the product they wanted, Alex and Deyan had to make it, and for that, they would have to pay an increasingly hefty sum.

     pre-birth;;
Deyan Zichtermann, growing up in a rich pureblood family, was taught from a young age his place in society.  He was a snobby and stuck up child with temper problem, who was well aware of his 'superiority.'  Alek, wanting to set up his son to follow in the business, decided that Deyan would be wasting time if he were to look for a wife on his own after schooling, time he could be using to build the business even more.  With that thought, Alek contacted some old family friends in Bulgaria, whom, if he remembered correctly, had a niece around Deyan's age.  His memory was correct, and after consultations with the girl's parents, Deyan was officially betrothed to Albena Radkor at the age of 14.

Flash forward seven years, and Deyan had just turned 21.  Ready to start his adult life, he decided to meet his betrothed for the first time, eager to get married to her.  He was honestly surprised when he found that his soon-to-be wife was a comely girl of only 15, but he honestly didn't mind, as Albena looked a bit older than she actually was, and they had a reasonable amount of things in common, anyhow.  Wishing to just get the marriage over with then, so that he could focus on the business during his prime, Deyan and Albena were married during the soonest holiday break that Durmstrang offered, in a lavish ceremony. Pressured by his father to get the whole "produce a male heir" thing done early, Deyan got Albena pregnant right after she graduated, and Zhelyazko was born 8 and a half months later.

     childhood;;
Zhelyazko’s childhood, while privileged and full of plenty of perks, was not exactly a happy one.  Deyan treated him as nothing more than a business asset, grooming him to take over the business when he was older.  Deyan was cold and detached when it came to Yazko, and Albena was far too young to know what to do with a child.  Zhelyazko quickly learned to entertain himself however he saw fit, realizing that no matter what he did, his parents were never paying enough attention to him to care.

Relishing in his freedom, Zhelyazko did things that most young boys would get reprimanded for; breaking the dishes, cracking a window, getting into sticky situations with friends, etc.  He was so used to being able to perform this kind of behavior without being reprimanded that when Albena finally became aware of her child because of his tutor's reports and tried to discipline him, he refused to comply.  He didn't listen to his mother or his tutor at all, and no matter how loud their screaming was, they just could not get him to do what he was supposed to.  Unbeknownst to Yazko at the time, Deyan had taken to drinking, and was coming home angry and drunk increasingly often.  Of course, as fate would have it, one of those nights was also a night when the young boy was not minding.  Deyan, drunk and annoyed, picked Zhelyazko up by the leg and beat him with a ladle that happened to be on the counter next to them.  Deyan's like for drink, and Zhelyazko's unwavering annoyances, led to these instances of violence happening nearly nightly, until Yazko turned 11 and left for Durmstrang.

     durmstrang;;
Zhelyazko entered his first years at Durmstrang with an air of arrogance, and just as his father before him, was sorted into Klyk Vampira. Outgoing as he was, Yazko easily made a great deal of friends in his house, both in his year and above.  However, none of them were really true friends to Yazko, as he never felt any emotion one way or another towards them. He kept a "posse" for lack of a better terms, solely for appearances sake. He wanted to come off as popular, and he certainly succeeded.  He hardly made any enemies, except those that he deemed unworthy; those who didn't have money, or even worse, thought that blood purity didn't matter!  Perish the thought!

As Yazko got older, he worried less about keeping friends, as long as he kept respect.  He became a terrible bully, voicing his thoughts honestly and loudly, and was often getting into fights.  However, he made sure that he respected, and even feared, with every action he did.  In order to do this, he mastered his manipulative charm and silver tongue, figuring out how to talk himself out of any inopportune situation.  He even, for the first times, was able to talk his father out of being angry at him, when he would goof off at home during the holidays.

By his last years at Durmstrang, he had built up quite the reputation for himself, as a manipulator and as a womanizer. He had quite a few girlfriends, but he got bored so easily that he often dumped them after they slept with him.  Despite being such a jerk to these girls, however, Zhelyazko never lost a person from his following, as he often manipulated situations to where it wasn't his fault.  But there were some things that he couldn't talk himself out of, and he often got in trouble for misbehaving by his superiors at the school.

     young adulthood;;
Finally free from the stifling rules and constraints of schooling, Zhelyazko promptly went about living up the adult life, much to his father's disdain.  He was supposed to train in the family business, attend stuffy gatherings, and keep the Zichtermann's looking good.  Yazko would be having none of that.  He took off to the capitol, where he bought himself a posh penthouse apartment that served as his ultimate bachelor's pad.  He would often go to clubs, raves, and all sorts of other events, using his status to get him in alone, and get him out with a woman or two.  He habitually flaunted his money everywhere he went, acting like a high-class, high-demand playboy, which he sort of was.  He experimented with drugs and alcohol, and became an avid fan of the harder stuff.  His activities got him into trouble with the law a couple of times, but with his mother working for the Ministry and his family name being rather influential, he was able to avoid getting into any real trouble. His father was all for cutting him off, except that he didn't want people to realize that the Zichtermann line had produced a lazy, juvenile young adult, so he refrained.

By the age of 25, Yazko's dad had expected to him to have outgrown his rebellious phase and directed him to come back to the family, so he could help with the business. Though he was just as immature as he had been at seventeen, Yazko begrudgingly acquiesced to his father's request.  Returning to where he was apparently needed, Zhelyazko helped his father with the business, mostly by being the one to talk to customers, as he was an expert in charisma and charm.  The work wasn't as bad as Yazko had anticipated originally, but it bored him.  There had to be something more exciting, even dangerous, maybe!

     joining voldemort;;
After roughly 5 years helping his father, he became fed up with the day in, day out routine and moved back to the capitol, telling his father that it was simply to "help with networking for the business."  Now at the age of 31, Yazko was back to his old ways, partying, drinking, having sex, and getting in tight situation without really actually getting into trouble.  Trouble finally caught up to him, however, when Yazko became aware of a the return of a dark wizard in England.  Lord Voldemort, more commonly referred to as "You-Know-Who" or "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named," had been defeated nearly fifteen years earlier, sadly ending his reign of terror over Europe.  Intrigued, Zhelyazko kept his eyes and ears out for information about the mysterious return.

It was while Zhelyazko was attending a potions conference in the absence of his father that he began talking to a tall, dark haired man named Acidus; a friend of his father's.  Said man was a bit inebriated, and didn't realize that his loose sleeves were hinting at a dark tattoo on his left forearm.  Yazko pulled him aside, certain that no one could see, and engaged him in conversation, eventually asking about the tattoo he had only gotten a glimpse of.  Acidus looked at Yazko and laughed, telling him that it was nothing.  Brashly, Yazko pulled up the sleeve and found the mark of Voldemort.  Acidus became very angry with him, but was calmed down when Yazko told him he was interested in the Dark Lord's mission.

As Acidus and Zhelyazko talked, he became more and more enamored with the idea of this man, and his followers, called Death Eaters.  They were in favour of power, of pure blood!  It was rebellious, it was exciting, it was dangerous, it was brilliant!   Zhelyazko demanded that Acidus  somehow get him into this exclusive group.  Acidus laughed at his naivety.  He told Yazko that it wasn't some sort of club, it was men bowing to a master, that there was murder involved, and other things that were unspeakable.  The Dark Lord didn't just take anybody.  Yazko arrogantly brushed Acidus off.  His money and influence could get him anywhere!  And this place that he was going, it would get him the fear and respect that he deserved.

When he was finally granted audience with the Dark Lord, his confidence was admired, and his connection to the family's potion business was taken into account.  Voldemort perused Yazko's mind, and saw of his sadistic tendencies, skill in the dark arts, and influence in society.  Apparently, this satisfied Voldemort, and much to Acidus' surprise, Zhelyazko was marked and taken in as a Death Eater.  Yazko soon learned that Acidus was right; there were unsavory things that Yazko had to do to stay in the Dark Lord's favour. Most of the time, he just ran illegal potions and substances, but he was occasionally required to hold interrogations or perform the rare assassination.  Seeing how disobedience was treated, however, Yazko never spoke out, too overcome with fear to do anything like that.

As Voldemort quickly came back into great power, Yazko was more frequently included in the Death Eater meetings, which rotated in location often.  One such place was a bar in Neroli, Italy, that Yazko actually enjoyed being at.  He never knew who owned the bar, or even worked there, until one night when he saw a beautiful raven-haired woman walk past an open doorway. Yazko locked eyes with her for the briefest of moments before she continued on out of his sight, much to his dismay.  In subsequent meetings at the same place, Yazko, now that he was looking for the mysterious female, almost always caught sight of her in the midst of meetings.  Intrigued, Yazko hung around after the meeting one night, and wandered around the place, looking for the woman.

Once he struck up a conversation with her, he found her name to be Ivana Karkaroff, daughter of Igor Karkaroff.  Yazko was surprised; Igor was Durmstrang's headmaster for a while! This only interested him more, though, and he unrelentingly tried to find out more about Ivana, shamelessly flirting with her throughout the process.  They really hit it off, and began seeing each other outside of Death Eater meetings.  Soon, they were engaged in a relationship of sorts, though rather unconventional and more like just messing around for a bit, though Yazko has realized that he may harbor deeper feelings for her than he is letting on.

Soon, Voldemort had taken over Hogwarts, England's wizarding school, and the school of Harry Potter, the Dark Lord's 17 year old enemy.  Yazko took this opportunity to prove himself and finally get some action, often travelling to London to take part in the activity.  And suddenly, there was a battle taking place!  Yazko was summoned to what was later named "The Battle of Hogwarts" to help the Death Eaters in the fight.  He arrived upon a scene of blood and death and fighting and pure chaos.  Jumping in, Yazko saw Acidus and joined him, blasting away the pesty children that thought they stood a chance against Death Eaters.  However, one of those pests got lucky shot on Acidus, and blasted him unconscious.  Pissed off and pumped up on adrenaline, Yazko turned and fired a killing curse at the student, watching with sick satisfaction as the light left the teen's eyes.

Turning back to check on Acidus, Yazko caught a glimpse of long black hair and froze.  He saw Ivana, his delicate Ivana! in the middle of the battle!  He hurried towards her and the man she was dragging towards her, another Death Eater, but she disapparated before he could reach her.  Confused and worried, he went straight to her bar in Neroli, only to find it empty.   A visit to her flat produced the same result, and Yazko was now beyond worried.  He went back to the Battle, only to find a whole different scene in front of him.  The second he feet touched ground, he saw someone running towards him. Turning, he found it to be Acidus, who promptly grabbed his arm and disapparated them away, back to Sofia.  The Dark Lord was dead, killed in front of everyone.  There was no more.

     current;;
Lying low for a while, Yazko went back to his place in the capitol, with Acidus as his new roommate.  The two men get along fairly well, and both of them are trying to help Deyan to make up for their stupid thinking.  Well, actually Acidus is the one atoning to Deyan.  Zhelyazko is mostly just sweet talking Deyan into perhaps opening a new shop location in Neroli, so that he can see Ivana more often.  Having not been an overt show-off when affiliated with the Dark Lord, Yazko is fairly confident that he won't be looked for and proesecuted, but he is staying close to his family, friends, and Ivana until he is certain.  Reality hasn't quite hit him yet, and he is still trying to wrap his head around everything that has happened.

Whatever he had been expecting, this was decidedly not it.  This was... chaos.  A scene of blood, and death, and fighting, and utter disorder met Zhelyazko's eyes as he simply stood somewhere on the grounds of Hogwarts, watching the battle take place.  Death Eaters dueling children?  He scoffed out loud. He had always hated children.  They were all so stupid and arrogant, thinking that they were unstoppable. As Yazko caught sight of a familiar face and headed in Acidus' direction, he proved one of those children wrong, disarming the boy and watching with amusement as the child's eyes went wide and he ran off quickly.  Arriving at Acidus' side, Zhelyazko stood behind him, adopting a protective back-to-back stance with the man, and took in the goings-on.

He turned his head to shout something to Acidus among the din, but stopped his words short when he saw a familiar shock of jet black hair. It cannot be.  My eyes are deceiving me.  Leaning forward, Yazko tried to get a better look at the thin woman across the way.  It can't be her...  But as she turned slightly to the left, he saw that it was.  His Ivana, his delicate Ivana! Why was she here, in this danger!?  She was kneeling, cradling the head of a man he realized was older.  Too old to be in this fight, at least.  No matter, I must get to my Ivana! Wait, MY Ivana, since when has that been...? It doesn't matter.  Either way, I don't want her getting hurt. He ran towards her, but it was too late, she disapparated, taking the other man with her and leaving Zhelyazko in shock and confusion in the middle of a violent battle.

General Appearance:  Lucielle has a heart shaped face, with clear pale skin and full, pouty looking lips.  She isn't overly skinny, but she is on the the thinner side of girls her age. She values her hygiene and cleanliness above all else, and takes good care of her skin, hair, etc.  Oftentimes, her expression can come off as innocent, due to her delicate features that are so obviously young.  She wants to seem older though, so she tries to apply makeup, like blush and lip colour, but it can come off as clownish, so she doesn't usually wear it unless she has help applying it.
Dressing Style: Lucielle, like many young girls, likes to play 'dress up.'  She wants to seem more grown up than she is so she will wear more mature clothes, although the cliche pink ribbons sometimes do make an appearance in her wardrobe. Other than those, she is quite the budding fashionista, trying on the newest trends; appropriate for her age, of course.  She is very girly, and likes to wear pink, purple, and any kind of bright, pastel colours.  Lucy also likes to add "bling," and has a weakness for sparkly apparel.

General Character Traits:
If there was one word to describe Lucy, it would be girly.  She, sadly, falls into all the cliches of an 11 year old girly girl; genuinely loving 'sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns.'  For example, her bedroom at home has enchanted paintings of rainbows covering the walls.  Much like her bright and bubbly room decor, Lucy is bubbly as well, and is a social butterfly of sorts.  She is very talkative, and often has to be told to stop talking, because she can't tell when too much is really too much.  During class, she doesn't pay attention to the lesson, but to the story that she is telling to her neighbor.  When not socializing however, Lucy often goes off into la-la land, not really focusing on anything important.  She imagines herself as a famous person, a pop star, a hero, and all sorts of other adolescent fantasies.  Lucy also wears her feelings on her sleeve.  If she is angry, it is really hard not to notice.  Likewise, it is exceedingly obvious when she is happy or excited about something.

Likes:
     pastels;; Lucy isn't the biggest fan of dark, bold, or rustic colours.  She prefers fun and girly tones, like lavender, pink, yellow, baby blue, and bright green.
     cats;; While Lucielle loves nearly all animals, cats are her favorite.  She especially loves her own calico kitten, Astre, whom she got as a present for her eleventh birthday.
     boys;; She may be young, but Lucy likes boys.  Not in the way that the older kids do, meaningful relationships and such, but she thinks they are cute and good to hold hands with.
Dislikes:
     dirt;; An almost obsessively clean girl, Lucy abhors dirt, dust, germs, or anything of the kind.  She is constantly dusting, sweeping, and tidying up, even when there is really no need.
     physical work;; Used to being doted on because she was 'too small/young' and spoiled to do anything hard at home, Lucy expects everyone to think that, so she does a whole lot of nothing, physically.
     durmstrang;; Lucielle takes great pride in her school, and she finds it superior to the other two nearby wizarding institutes.  However, she especially doesn't like Durmstrang, since she has a generalized idea that they are all evil, dragon loving brutes that curse people alot.  No one is quite sure where she got this idea, although it is probably from her peers at school.
Habits/Mannerisms:  Lucielle doesn't really have any habits other than her obsession with cleanliness.  Everything must be organized and perfect in her room; the bed must be made, the floor must be tidy, and the clothes must be sorted by colour and style.
Strengths:
     organized;; Lucy is remarkably organized for a girl her age, in most everything she does.  She keeps folders and files, (bedazzled, mind you) sorted by every possible category there is for her schoolwork, and her quarters are always meticulously clean.
     optimistic;; Bouncy and cheerful, Lucy isn't just a "glass half-full" kind of person.  She is more of a "glass is half-full of glitter" type girl.  She is always turning the bright side on things, and trying to keep everything sunny and happy.
     honest;; Lucielle is a horrible liar, but it falls under more of  a strength than a weakness.  She knows she cannot lie, so she doesn't bother to.  She accepts the consequences that she deserves if it is that kind of case, and in any other, she just doesn't feel the need to say anything other than the truth.
Weaknesses:
     naive;; Young and pampered like she is, Lucielle has little to no experience with the 'real world.'  She honestly expects everything to be sunshine and lemondrops for the rest of her life, and she will be sorely disappointed to find out the fallacy of that assumption.
     not too smart;;  Having a short attention span, Lucielle never really payed attention to her homeschooling lessons, and her level of knowledge leaves much to be desired.  However, her intelligence, or lack thereof, spans into her common sense as well.  She is not very aware of others' feelings, and cannot really understand when she is coming off a rude.
     throws tantrums;; Brought up as the spoiled younger child in the family, Lucy is used to getting what she wants, and when she wants it.  She gets very emotional when things don't go her way, and it just makes her look like a brat.

     pre-birth;;
Armin Lautens and Corrin Acklin met in their third year of schooling, in a Medical Studies class.  Armin was proud Papillonlisse , while Corrin was a Bellefeulle.  They were paired together as a group exercise, and immediately hit it off.  As their years of schooling went on, their closeness waxed and waned, but they remained friends nontheless.  By their seventh year, Corrin realized that she was secretly harbouring romantic feelings for her friend.  Little did she know, Armin was feeling the same way.  During a chance late night encounter on the grounds, Armin and Corrin ended up confessing their feelings for each other, and they stepped out the next day as an official couple.

After graduation, Armin went directly into his extra schooling, as he was preparing to be a mediwizard.  The relationship between he and Corrin strained a bit, since Armin wasn't with her as often as either of them wanted, but after 3 years of dating and official graduation from the Mediwizard program, Armin proposed to Corrin, and she gladly said yes.  Shortly after, on Armin's 21st birthday, Corrin told him that she was pregnant with their first child, a boy that they named Matteo Livios Lautens.  Almost 3 years later, Lucielle Véronique joined the budding family.

     childhood;;
As a young girl, Lucielle grew up coddled and loved, perhaps to an excess.  She was an obedient child, and was surprisingly clean for a toddler.  Her parents were elated, because Matteo, three years older than their tidy young girl, was a whirlwind mess.  Armin and Corrin coddled the toddler, giving their sweet baby girl most everything she wanted.  It was around this time that Lucielle began to bond with her mother, as Corrin would often take her along on her own shopping trips, and stop for ice cream on the way home.

Lucy, as she often was called by the time she was seven, also formed a good relationship with her brother, as he shared most of her interests that none of the children that came over for playdates did.  Nevertheless, by age seven, Lucy could be considered a social butterfly already; with many friends her age coming to her house every other day.  Her bond with Matteo was, sadly, strained a bit when he went off to school when Lucy was eight.  By this time, she had heard all about Beauxbatons from her brother and parents, and couldn't wait to be old enough to go do magic!  Shortly after Matteo went off for the start of term, Lucy showed her first sign of magic when she made a butterfly that she was watching change colours.

Now more excited than ever, Lucy impatiently waited until her eleventh birthday, but even then, she had to wait until the new term would start again!  Her parents tided her over however, by presenting he with a present; a small calico kitten named Astre that she would be able to take to school with her come school starting.

When it was finally time to go to Beauxbatons, Lucy was thrilled and excited, but apprehensive at the same time.  Her very first day at school, she got lost and began to panic.  Luckily though, a 6th year girl in Papillonlisse, Zoé Deveaux, happened upon her and showed her in the right direction.  As Lucielle took in the experience of a boarding school, away from her coddled home life, she was a little bit surprised with the overall feel of it, but she decided that she loved this new place anyways.  She enjoyed most of her classes, though, unsurprisingly, more for socialization opportunities rather than learning.  The one class that she pays devout attention to isn't even a class!  Lucy spends alot of her time in the stables, as she loves animals and she it as her requires student service.  In the stables, she met Adèle Appel, a Bellefeuille a year above her who also loved animals, especially horses, and they have become good friends in the 2 months since term started.

Due to differing schedules, Lucy doesn't get to spend much time with Matteo, and at the beginning of the year she was really bummed about not having a big brother to talk to.  That was sort of fixed, however, when she met Diederik van Dijk, an upperclassmen Papillonlisse boy who was a rather kind and friendly person, and who seemed to do his best to make sure that the first year was safe, comfy and happy.  Lucy really appreciated having another 'big brother' when her own wasn't available.

Although she is only a bit into her first year, Lucy is positive that the rest of her time at Beauxbatons will be fantastic.

Lucy yawned; it couldn't be time to wake up yet, could it?  No, of course not.  It was 1:30 am, which meant she still had to wait another four hours, at least, before she could get up.  Tomorrow, well, technically today, since it was past midnight, would be the day she left for school! Finally, she would officially qualify as the 'big girl' that daddy always said she was.  She would learn how to do magic like her parents, and she would be able to understand what Matteo was talking about half the time!  The excitement was building up unrelentlessly, and Lucy was sure that at some point, it would cause her to burst.

She couldn't sleep when she was this excited! This being the third time she had woken up in the night, she decided that she wouldn't even try anymore.  But what was there to do at 1:30 in the morning, when everyone else was asleep and you were supposed to be too?  Well, she could wait of course, but that would be boring without something else to keep her occupied.  Wriggling her toes  Lucy lifted her bed sheets off of her, hoping she wasn't being too loud.  Sliding off of her bed and landing her feet right into her fuzzy pink slippers, Lucy tiptoed over to her desk on the other side of her room.

Gently sitting down in the plush chair next to her desk area, Lucy looked around for something she could do to pass the time.

Meow?

Looking down, Lucy saw Astre, her little calico kitten, looking up at her expectantly.  Giving Astre a smile, Lucy reached down and picked the kitten up, placing her on the table and giving her a scratch behind the ears.  "Are you excited, Astre?"  she whispered quietly, although she well knew that the kitty wouldn't answer.  "We're leaving later today, for school.  You're coming with me.  Won't it be fun?  We'll make lots of new friends, and you can have new places to play, and maybe someone else will have a kitten too, and you can be friends!"  Astre just looked at her and blinked, before nuzzling her cheek with her own.

As Lucy stroked Astre's fur, her brain was in high motion.  Now that she had thought of it again, school was taking over her brain!  What house would she be sorted in?  Would she be with Matteo?  Were the teachers nice?  Were the classes hard?  Were there bullies there?  What if she didn't like her dorm mate?  Picking up Astre and heading over to the decidedly more comfortable bed, she laid down with the cat on her stomach, and wondered and wondered until she finally fell asleep.
