[Announcement] Preparing for End-of-Term: Age-up Requirements

Hi, all!

We're approaching that time of year again - the last few playtime months of term! Don't panic, you still have plenty of time before you need to think about updating sheets and making sure you've gotten those two required posts to move your character on to the next school year - we wanted to give ample notice so everyone has time to prepare and not feel stressed!

Please refer to this topic in the Sorting Hat board for a brief introduction as well as each school's specific options to satisfy this small two-post requirement.

As stated in the introduction, we will not post a "call for sheet updates" until either next playtime month (June 2003) or the one after - please do not submit age-up updates until we post that announcement in this thread. At that time we will also post a hard deadline for sheet update submission and completed post requirements. You will have until a few RL weeks prior to the end of summer playtime to submit those sheet updates and complete those two posts.

Also keep in mind that - for certain schools - MPs in the form of summer activities may count towards your required two posts for the preceding school year! In other words, eligible posts for this current term (2002-2003) must have taken place between 01 Sept 2002 (IRL: 11 Feb 2019) and 31 Aug 2003 in addition to fitting the specific school requirements.

Characters that are Sorted at the end of the current school term or drivers with extenuating circumstances may or may not have the age-up requirements waived, again at the discretion of the respective School Admin.

Now that we are about halfway through June playtime, we are pleased to announce that sheet update submissions for the upcoming term are officially OPEN!

A few notes and reminders:
-- Brand new characters being Sorted for the first time should be posted Sort Me!, while existing characters being aged-up should be posted in Character Changes & Retcons.
-- Your sheet should reflect the Year your character will be in when the new school term starts up in September.
-- Please do not submit your sheet update until your character has met the appropriate Age-up Requirements. (Please refer to this thread to check the status of your qualifying posts.)
-- If you would like to age-up a character by more than one school year, please make a note of this when you submit so whichever admin handling your sheet is aware.
-- If you have a current Koldovstoretz student, please refer to this announcement when submitting your sheet update.

If you need help remembering what graduating year your archived student/adult should have, please refer to the MH Class Roster or PM Olivia.

Reminder to get your student age-up sheet updates in - playtime will change in approximately three weeks, but we would prefer all updates be in and ready to go at least one week before that (July 19th) for smoother sailing! Koldo students and any still-existing MHTKR students will need to be retconned or transferred to Durmstrang.

Another reminder that, as with every year before the new school term, all school boards with the exception of their specific village child boards (Hogsmeade, Dottrar Vik, etc.) will be purged on July 19th, which is exactly two weeks from today. If you have a thread in the non-village school boards that you do not think you'll be able to drop or complete by the 19th, please request to have it moved to the TT board.
Editing to clarify: because these are existing threads, they will NOT count towards your TT limit of 2 threads per character. The TT board is simply the most logical place to put them because of the board pruning, and we don't put time limits on any other threads so it wouldn't be fair to do that in this case!
