[Announcement] Koldovstoretz Closure

Hi everyone,

It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing that the team has decided to close Koldovstoretz indefinitely. The guide will remain open for adult background information. This thread is open for feedback as we value open dialogue within our community, but please do read the announcement completely before you post.

The closing of the school will mean that the school boards will be removed and the school will no longer be playable, however the school will continue to exist in MH Canon. There are a few reasons for this decision, but the main reason is just one of inactivity. In the many months that Koldovstoretz has been open, we have not been able to garner enough interest to justify keeping it open.

If you have a Koldovstoretz student or were wanting to create one, your options are as follows:

1. Transfer your student to Durmstrang in real-time. We are working towards a worldwide plot that takes into consideration Nils Nyström being ousted as minister and the new minister, Ingmar Svensson, working with Kasimir Krupin, the Russian minister, to implement a mandatory exchange program. If you choose to have your student transferred to Durmstrang in real-time, they will have been randomly selected for the "opportunity" to transfer to Durmstrang indefinitely. Though this is up to driver discretion, students will not be given the option to refuse in-character. Over the summer, intensive Swedish language programs will be implemented for students, and as a result the classes at Durmstrang will still be taught in Swedish for the next year, but Russian will be permitted to be used outside of classes. More information regarding the exchange program will be available in the upcoming TDP issue.

2. Retcon the character staying at Durmstrang after the merge of 2000-2001 (only an option for pureblood or halfblood characters).

3. Retcon a transfer to a different school of your choosing by updating the character name and area of birth.

4. Age your character up or archive them.

5. If you had a work in progress, create them according to the above options. Adult Koldovstoretz characters will still be allowed according to the guide.

sad to see Koldovstoretz closed but definitely a sensible decision and thanks for offering so many options as to what to do with the chars of that area.

Not that I'm really considering it at this point but still asking for future reference - could my Koldo prof (Leandra Floros, currently archived) switch schools too?

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm sure if and when you brought Leandra back we could work something out - it would depend on where you wanted to transfer her to and whether you would be retconning etc. Alternatively, Leandra could still be a professor at Koldo, but not play out her job (no need to post classes, etc).
