Freya felt a little nervous and she wasn’t entirely sure why. Probably just residual stuff from Jeremy’s date, she figured. And she was a little nervous to get high – she didn’t feel like she’d done it enough to properly predict the outcome. So probably just those two things, she thought, feeling Danny’s eyes on her. No need to read too much into anything.
“Oh, yeah I think he does, I’ll check,†Freya said, pushing up to her feet with a bit of a sigh. She was sweating; there wasn’t a fantastic breeze in their apartment. She sighed again as she walked down the hall, shaking her head at herself for no reason. The blonde resolved to suggest they go out on the fire escape, or at least the balcony when she got back, so she could get some air.
She stepped gingerly over Jeremy’s messy floor, a bit less bold to stomp around in the mess without her shoes on. She went to his nightstand, rifled around in his drawers a bit. She tilted her head to read the cover of a magazine, raised her eyebrows and kept searching. Eventually, she found one.
The blonde returned to the living room doorway, and gave Danny a bit of a smile, but didn’t move to sit down. “Do you wanna go outside?†she asked from the doorway, “It’s kinda stuffy in here.†Waiting for his answer, Freya leaned over, tossing her hair forward so she could gather it all up in a messy bun. She straightened up, securing it with the safe elastic band from Jeremy’s drawers. She’d have to remember to thank him later.
