Bad, indeed, if Jade was this quick to dismiss her date entirely. She felt sort of bad about it, only she was fairly sure her friend wouldn’t be this dismissive if the wizard didn’t deserve it. Not to say that she wasn’t caught off guard when Jade decided to dump her drink on said date.
She’d like to call it a mistake, fueled by alcohol, but it took everything in her not to start laughing like a bloody hyena. The look on the wizards fave was priceless though Jade had gone quite pale in response.
The brunette witch narrowed her teal eyes, not liking the aggressive stance one bit, actually. “I wouldn’t try it.†she said, tone polite, but her body posture tight. “Clearly you both had a bit to drink yea? Just a misunderstanding, really. I’ll walk Jade home tonight, I think. And you can erm enjoy they rest of your evening.†she managed, hoping off her stool and drowning the rest of the drink she hadn’t really had a chance to enjoy at all. She gave the barkeep a wink, sliding some galleons onto the table to pay whatever balance was left.
She was quick to react once she saw the man looming over Jade. She dug her heel sharply onto the mans foot and latched onto the pinky finger attached to Jade arms, twisting hard enough he groaned in pain and let go before stepping back and releasing him. She put herself between Jade and him, a tense smile on her face. “I’d really think twice about whatever it is that’s got your brain mushy inside that thick skull yea? Walk it off before I’m forced to slap a harassment charge on you.†she said, brandishing her badge. She hadn’t taken out her wand, though she was itching to do so, and watched in satisfaction as the man paled and walked away. He was lucky she hadn’t broken his damn finger.
“You’ve worse luck than I do, I think.†She told Jade, a wry grin working its way onto her face, as she worked to suppress the anger she could feel simmering on the surface. It was so easy to heat her blood and it was always difficult for her not to really seal a lesson home without some violence. Creeps like that only understood one language, unfortunately, though she’d like to think she’d learn a significant amount of restraint throughout the years. She’d have probably tried to bash his face in otherwise. “Lets get you home yea? No more drinks for Jade.†she said, smile quirking up her lips, as she tried to lead her friend out of the pub.
