"I know, I know," Maisie sighed, the first signs of a tension headache bubbling up and it wasn't even noon yet. It wasn't a
complete disaster (yet) but if anyone had seen a scuffle break out, they'd think it was horribly unprofessional. "I'm so sorry for disturbing you," the brunette offered softly, hating the fact that she had to pull Circenn away for such trivial matters. He was already busy. He'd been so great helping her plan and she didn't want to disappoint him after all of this.
"The barbecue man and the balloon animal guy," Maisie confirmed with a heavy laden sigh as she adjusted her
dress, her long dark hair twisted up into a chignon to keep it out of her face. It was going to be a warm day, she could tell. The weather gods had decided to play nice, the sun high in the sky, as her dark eyes darted around. This was supposed to be
fun. All she wanted was to make this as smooth and easy for Circenn as possible. As long as no one was brawling later on today and no one died, she'd count the event as a success.
Her clipboard was under her arm and Maisie was using it like a suit of armour. She really did want to enjoy herself but she knew she'd be here until the event ended. She offered to help clean up the inevitable litter, to pack up the vendors' equipment, to make sure everyone left the pitch safe. She didn't mind. It wasn't as though she had any plans tonight, now that Johnny had effectively ditched her.
"Bouncy castle," Maisie lamented, pointing to the large inflatable structure that was sprawling and came with two slides. "I hope they've taken their shoes off," she mumbled as her shoulders slumped in defeat before she caught sight of the pair in question.
"Oi!" Maisie called out as she heard scuffling and a very particular swear word, dropping her clipboard as she hastily kicked off her shoes and launched herself into the bouncy castle landing with an
oof! on her stomach and with no regard for her own personal safety.
