It had been five hours since Parthenia had arrived in London, exactly seventy-two since she'd had her first clear-as-day vision, and though she knew that she should probably try to get in touch with Samuel Dickinson before she tried to seek out this poor dying boy, she couldn't help but need to see if she could stop anything from happening. Tonight, the conditions were completely different from what she had expected, but a nice witch she had ran into directed her to Diagon Alley, and at least she knew, for a fact, that this was where it was all supposed to happen. Whether or not it already had, Parthenia didn't know. She didn't know if she'd see it, or if someone else would, but she needed to try to recreate exactly what it was that happened, and try to stop it from happening.
Nobody had ever told her that she shouldn't try to mess with fate, but Nia was blessed with a very unique gift, and though she didn't exactly like most people, she wanted to use it to do
some good. However, she was definitely being hasty, and standing outside of a shop at night, with workers rushing by her and stores closing around her, she continued standing there on the darkening street, her bag slung over her shoulder. Her English was struggling, and the few times she'd conversed with people had been an odd mix of French and English, and though Greek was her native tongue, it was much less likely for someone to understand
that. Rusty, she figured that, if nothing else, being in London for the second time in her life would help her improve her skills.
The thought of finding some work to do was more than repulsive to her. She thought, perhaps, she could get a job as a nanny somewhere, teaching little English witches and wizards to speak different languages. No, that would never work, because then Nia wouldn't be able to leave whenever she felt like it. She wanted something that allowed her to be free; Something she didn't have to go to from 9 to 5 everyday. Why couldn't someone just pay her to do something she wanted to do? There was the freelance astronomy stuff she sometimes did. Nia would stay out all night and study the stars, the changes, the new ones, and she was well-acquainted with the heavens, enough for her to occasionally make a bit of money when she sent new stuff to one of the wizards she was working for. But that wouldn't sustain her too long, and she might soon have to move on to the countryside in order to keep on staying in England, which was something she didn't want to do. Magic did have it's benefits when you were homeless, though
Standing, slightly cold, in a long
dress, Parthenia moved past witches and wizards without major purpose, but thinking it might be time to find somewhere to spend the night.
