“Ooh, fun,†Tomie said, wrinkling her nose. If she was in the hospital wing, there was no way she’d be doing any homework. Tomie was stubborn, though – she’d probably be like Wendy, who refused to go until she was basically fainting. Maybe that was something they all had in common, she thought, amused by the disdain in JR’s expression. “We have potions with the Hufflepuffs next,†she added. She wasn’t looking forward to whatever homework they were about to get.
“Yeah in like two minutes,†Tomie replied with an easygoing laugh. “Left my bag with Benny, poor thing,†she said, laughing some more, shaking the bed a little. It wasn’t like her to skip out on lunch early, but she’d wanted to check in on JR, and share the gossip, pick his brain, et cetera. Her plan was to be back in the hall with Benny before lunch finished, but it didn’t look like it was going to be a success. She just hoped her best friend telepathy made it to him in time, so they could meet halfway instead of her having to go all the way back to the great hall before they headed to class together.
